We hear your heart, dear sister in Christ, and we join you in lifting your precious son before the throne of grace. The struggle you describe is heavy, and we stand with you in faith, believing that our Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Mealtime should be a time of nourishment and peace, not torment or fear, and we declare that the enemy has no place in this area of your son’s life.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guards hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We ask You to break every chain of anxiety, rigidity, and fear that has taken hold of this young man. Lord, saturate him with Your presence tonight, let Your peace wash over him like a river, calming every storm within his heart and mind. We rebuke the spirit of torment in Jesus’ name and command it to flee. We declare that no weapon formed against your household shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we plead the blood of Jesus over your son and every member of your home, covering them in divine protection.
We pray for wisdom and discernment for you, dear mother, as you guide your son. Proverbs 22:6 reminds us to "train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." We encourage you to seek the Lord for strategies, whether through prayer, godly counsel, or practical steps, to help your son develop healthy habits around mealtime. The enemy often attacks where there is vulnerability, but God’s Word tells us that He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that sound mind over your son tonight.
Father, we ask You to soften his heart and help him to receive the nourishment his body needs without resistance. Let him taste and see that You are good (Psalm 34:8), and let that goodness bring satisfaction and peace. We also pray for unity and rest in your household. May the presence of the Lord fill your home, driving out every trace of agitation and anger. Let Your angels encamp around your family, guarding them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11).
We stand on the promise that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We declare that this season of struggle will not last forever. The Lord is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in your son’s life (Philippians 1:6). We encourage you to hold fast to hope, for the joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10).
Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your unfailing love and believe that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
