Beloved Warrior
Please pray for my older daughter who is in a very toxic relationship. This relationship has opened doors to deception, financial exploitation, control and spiritual bondage, and I pray that the Lord would break every chain. Lord, I remove the rebellion, control, selfish, lazy and ungodly influence of this young man and his mother. My daughter is a child of the Most High God, and she does not need to conform to this young man and his family ways or seek their approval. I pray that her eyes would be opened to the truth, that this man is not her husband, he is not a shepherd, nor is he ready for the responsibilities of marriage. The burden she carries for him is not hers to bear, and I ask the Lord to remove every false sense of obligation from her heart. Father, I ask that You would swiftly, gently but firmly remove her from this toxic bondage. Break the stubbornness in her heart and replace it with a hunger for righteousness. Let her see the harm this relationship is causing, financially, spiritually, and emotionally. I pray that she would no longer defend this man or desire to live with him. Let her see living with this man outside of marriage is not God's will for her life. Instead, draw her back to the safety of Your will, the support of her parent, family, and the fellowship of her church. I declare that she will not be swayed by the ungodly counsel of this young man's mother, who has overstepped her bounds and sought to replace me as her mother and taking her away from her church home which is heartbreaking because her scheme is successful right now. I pray that the Lord would expose her motives, her disrespect, jealousy, arrogance and frustrate every plan she has to divide or corrupt my family. Lord, I ask that my daughter will see her supportive family in Your eyes not in the eyes of this young man and his mother. I pray for godly spouses for my daughters, men who will love them as Christ loves the church, lead them in righteousness, and honor the covenant of marriage as You intended. Jesus declare that every plan of the enemy to divide, isolate, or destroy my family will fail. The Lord fights for me, and He will restore what has been broken. I pray that my home would be a beacon of His light, drawing others to the love, peace, joy and grace found only in Jesus. I plead the blood of Jesus Christ over me and my children. No weapon formed against her shall prosper. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

We stand with you in deep concern and fervent prayer for your daughter, lifting her up before the throne of grace. This situation is heartbreaking, as we see the enemy’s schemes at work, deception, control, financial exploitation, and spiritual bondage, all seeking to ensnare her in a web of ungodliness. But we declare that our God is greater, and His power is unmatched. The chains of this toxic relationship will not hold her, for the Lord is her deliverer.

First, we must address the reality of what is happening here. Your daughter is living with this young man outside the covenant of marriage, and Scripture is clear that this is not God’s design. The World English Bible warns us in 1 Corinthians 6:18, "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." Living together in this way is fornication, and it opens the door to spiritual attack, emotional harm, and separation from God’s best. We must pray that her eyes are opened to this truth, not out of condemnation, but out of love for her soul and her future. The enemy wants to keep her blind to the harm, but the Holy Spirit will convict and lead her into repentance and restoration.

We also rebuke the ungodly influence of this young man and his mother. Their control, manipulation, and overreach into your family are not of God. Proverbs 22:24-25 warns, "Don’t befriend a hot-tempered man, and don’t associate with one who harbors anger: lest you learn his ways, and ensnare your soul." This woman’s attempt to replace you as her mother and pull her away from her church family is a direct attack on the order God has established. We declare that her schemes will fail, and her disrespect, jealousy, and arrogance will be exposed. The Lord will frustrate every plan of the enemy to divide your family, and He will restore what has been broken.

Your daughter is a child of the Most High God, and she does not need to conform to the ways of this world or seek the approval of those who do not honor Him. Romans 12:2 urges, "Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." We pray that her heart would be softened, that her stubbornness would be broken, and that she would hunger for righteousness once again. Let her see the harm this relationship is causing, financially, spiritually, and emotionally, and let her no longer defend or desire it. Instead, draw her back to the safety of Your will, the support of her family, and the fellowship of her church.

We also lift up your desire for godly spouses for your daughters. Marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for the church (Ephesians 5:25). We pray that the Lord would prepare men who will love your daughters as Christ loves the church, men who will lead them in righteousness, honor the covenant of marriage, and build them up in the faith. These men will not be perfect, but they will be submitted to God, seeking His will above all else. We declare that the enemy’s plans to isolate or destroy your family will fail, and that your home will be a beacon of God’s light, drawing others to the love, peace, joy, and grace found only in Jesus.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious daughter who is entangled in a toxic relationship. Lord, we ask that You break every chain of deception, control, and spiritual bondage that the enemy has used to ensnare her. Open her eyes to the truth, Father, and let her see the harm this relationship is causing in her life. We rebuke the spirit of rebellion and stubbornness in her heart, and we ask that You replace it with a hunger for righteousness and a desire to walk in Your will.

Lord, we plead the blood of Jesus over this family. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every plan of the enemy to divide, isolate, or destroy will fail. We ask that You expose the motives of those who seek to harm them, and that You frustrate every scheme of the enemy. Restore what has been broken, Father, and draw this daughter back to the safety of Your will, the support of her family, and the fellowship of her church.

We pray for godly spouses for these daughters, men who will love them as Christ loves the church, lead them in righteousness, and honor the covenant of marriage as You intended. Let Your peace, protection, and restoration reign in this family, and let their home be a beacon of Your light, drawing others to the love and grace found only in Jesus.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing in faith, trusting that God is at work even when you cannot see it. Surround yourself with believers who will pray with you and support you, and keep declaring God’s promises over your daughter’s life. The battle is the Lord’s, and He will fight for you.

We hear the weight in your words, the love, the ache, and the deep longing to see your daughter set free from a relationship that is clearly harming her. It’s painful when someone we cherish is caught in deception and control, and we honor your persistent, faithful prayers.

In seasons like this, we’ve learned that while we pray boldly, we also find rest in letting God do what only He can. Your steadfast intercession matters, but the work of opening your daughter’s eyes and softening her heart is the Holy Spirit’s. We can stand with you in that trust, releasing the outcome into His hands.

One thing you might consider is inviting a few trusted prayer partners or a pastor to join you in focused intercession for her spiritual protection. Having others agree in prayer can strengthen your own faith and bring a greater sense of support. Meanwhile, keep being a steady, safe presence, a reminder of home and truth, so that when her eyes finally open, she knows exactly where to turn.

Jesus, we bring this daughter before You. You see every chain, the deception, the financial exploitation, the ungodly influence. We ask You to break them. Open her eyes to the harm this relationship is causing and remove the false sense of obligation that binds her. Replace stubbornness with a hunger for righteousness. Frustrate every plan designed to divide this family, and draw her back to the safety of Your will, the love of her family, and the fellowship of her church. Surround her with godly influences who will point her to You. Comfort this mother and fill her with peace that passes understanding. We trust in Your power to restore. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It is well that you pour out your heart before the Lord, for He inclines His ear to the cries of His children, and He will assuredly hear you in this hour of deep distress. Yet let us take heed lest our prayers become a recitation of the faults of others rather than a casting of ourselves upon the boundless mercy of God. He knows the manipulation and the spiritual darkness that have entangled your daughter; His eye has seen the scheming mother and the unworthy young man, and He is not indifferent to the tears of a godly parent. But our confidence must rest in this: deliverance is of the Lord alone. As you plead the blood of Jesus over your household, remember that the precious ransom has already been found. The Lamb was slain, and by His stripes we are healed. It is not our declaration of victory, but His accomplished work, that shatters every chain.

The enemy may use malice, but our gracious God often employs such opposition as a sharp chastening tool, not to destroy but to cure. Think of Jacob at the brook Jabbok, trembling before Esau, yet God turned the heart of his brother, and they embraced. So may it be with your daughter. The Lord can frustrate every scheme of those who would divide your family, and He can open her eyes as surely as He made the scales fall from Saul. Yet this restoration, when it comes, will not be by might or by power, but by His Spirit. It is often the crowing of some small circumstance, like the cock to Peter, and a look from the Saviour’s tender eye that breaks the heart and brings the wandering one home. Keep your own gaze fixed upon Christ, and plead not only for her deliverance from evil company, but for a deep work of grace in her inward parts. Outward behaviour springs from the heart; therefore cry with David, “Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean.”

Do not be weary in well-doing. The promise stands: “I have found a ransom,” and if God Himself has spoken it, the deliverance is certain. Your daughter is a child of the covenant, and the Lord will not forsake the work of His own hands. There is a higher restoration than mere relief from outward trouble, the restoration of the soul to communion with Christ. Wait for it, expect it, and when it comes, be ready to declare the works of the Lord. Until then, let your home be a beacon not of anxiety, but of quiet trust in the God who saves. He who delivered you from the pit will bring your loved one forth also, and in His time, He will provide a godly spouse who honors the marriage covenant as a living picture of Christ and the church. Until that day, do not faint. The battle is the Lord’s, and He fights for you even now.

You pray with a mother’s anguish, and rightly so, for the soul of your daughter is ensnared. But listen carefully to the nature of the chains you seek to break. You speak of a toxic man, a controlling mother, financial harm, and spiritual bondage. These are outward sorrows, and they are grievous. Yet the sharpest chain, the heaviest yoke, is not the man nor his mother. It is sin. Sin is the most bitter slavery, the slavery from which no human power can free us. Your daughter is not merely in bondage to a man; she is in bondage to deception, to rebellion, to a false sense of obligation. These are the chains that Christ came to break.

Why did the Jews boast of being Abraham’s seed and yet remain slaves? They said, “We were never in bondage to any man,” forgetting Egypt and Babylon, because their hearts were fixed on worldly status. They felt no shame for the bondage of sin. So it is with your daughter. The enemy has whispered that her identity is found in this man’s approval, in his mother’s schemes, in a counterfeit union. She defends her chains because she has forgotten whose daughter she truly is. The Lord once called a trembling woman “daughter” and said, “Be of good cheer; your faith has made you whole.” It was not her earthly lineage that made her a daughter, but her faith. So it must be with your child. Her eyes must open to see that she is a daughter of the Most High, bought with a price, and that no man, no mother, no living arrangement outside of God’s holy covenant can be her identity or her refuge.

You ask the Lord to remove her swiftly and gently, to break stubbornness and plant a hunger for righteousness. This is a good petition, but do not dictate the manner of her deliverance. The Lord may permit the weight to grow heavier still, beyond her own power, so that she might despair of all human help and cry out to God alone. Was it not when Paul was weighed down exceedingly, beyond his power, that he learned to trust not in himself but in God who raises the dead? The Lord often allows affliction to become unbearable so that we might finally cast off false hopes and cling to the true deliverer. Do not lose heart if the answers seem delayed. The very intensity of your prayer is a sign that God is already stirring the waters.

Yet I must also charge you: beware lest your own grief become a chain. You speak of removing the influence of the young man and his mother, of exposing their motives and frustrating their plans. Righteous anger is not sin, but let it not turn into a root of bitterness. Their schemes will indeed fail, not because you have declared it, but because no weapon formed against God’s own can prosper. The Lord fights for you, but He fights with a cross-shaped love that prays even for enemies. Entrust them to God’s justice and mercy, and let your home be that beacon of light you described, a place not of animosity, but of such radical grace and truth that your daughter sees the stark difference between the world’s bondage and the freedom of Christ.

Finally, cling to the true table. The Lord gave thanks on the night He was betrayed and delivered Himself for our deliverance. He brought the old feast to an end and appointed a new one, His own body broken for many. In that holy sacrament, the chains of sin are shattered. Bring your daughter before that altar in prayer, even as she wanders. Plead the blood of Jesus not as a magic word, but as the true sacrifice that sets captives free. The very bread and cup proclaim that the greatest bondage has been overcome. Trust in that deliverance, not in human stratagems.

Your daughter will not be swayed by ungodly counsel forever if the light of truth shines unwaveringly from you. Be patient, be steadfast in love, and let her see in you the joy of one who has been freed from a far heavier slavery. The bond of sin is the only one that matters, and Christ is the only chain-breaker. Stand firm in that hope. The Lord will restore what has been broken, but He will do it in His time and for His glory, teaching her to say with all the redeemed, “I was in bondage and He set me free.”
