We stand with you in deep concern and fervent prayer for your daughter, lifting her up before the throne of grace. This situation is heartbreaking, as we see the enemy’s schemes at work, deception, control, financial exploitation, and spiritual bondage, all seeking to ensnare her in a web of ungodliness. But we declare that our God is greater, and His power is unmatched. The chains of this toxic relationship will not hold her, for the Lord is her deliverer.
First, we must address the reality of what is happening here. Your daughter is living with this young man outside the covenant of marriage, and Scripture is clear that this is not God’s design. The World English Bible warns us in 1 Corinthians 6:18, "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." Living together in this way is fornication, and it opens the door to spiritual attack, emotional harm, and separation from God’s best. We must pray that her eyes are opened to this truth, not out of condemnation, but out of love for her soul and her future. The enemy wants to keep her blind to the harm, but the Holy Spirit will convict and lead her into repentance and restoration.
We also rebuke the ungodly influence of this young man and his mother. Their control, manipulation, and overreach into your family are not of God. Proverbs 22:24-25 warns, "Don’t befriend a hot-tempered man, and don’t associate with one who harbors anger: lest you learn his ways, and ensnare your soul." This woman’s attempt to replace you as her mother and pull her away from her church family is a direct attack on the order God has established. We declare that her schemes will fail, and her disrespect, jealousy, and arrogance will be exposed. The Lord will frustrate every plan of the enemy to divide your family, and He will restore what has been broken.
Your daughter is a child of the Most High God, and she does not need to conform to the ways of this world or seek the approval of those who do not honor Him. Romans 12:2 urges, "Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." We pray that her heart would be softened, that her stubbornness would be broken, and that she would hunger for righteousness once again. Let her see the harm this relationship is causing, financially, spiritually, and emotionally, and let her no longer defend or desire it. Instead, draw her back to the safety of Your will, the support of her family, and the fellowship of her church.
We also lift up your desire for godly spouses for your daughters. Marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for the church (Ephesians 5:25). We pray that the Lord would prepare men who will love your daughters as Christ loves the church, men who will lead them in righteousness, honor the covenant of marriage, and build them up in the faith. These men will not be perfect, but they will be submitted to God, seeking His will above all else. We declare that the enemy’s plans to isolate or destroy your family will fail, and that your home will be a beacon of God’s light, drawing others to the love, peace, joy, and grace found only in Jesus.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious daughter who is entangled in a toxic relationship. Lord, we ask that You break every chain of deception, control, and spiritual bondage that the enemy has used to ensnare her. Open her eyes to the truth, Father, and let her see the harm this relationship is causing in her life. We rebuke the spirit of rebellion and stubbornness in her heart, and we ask that You replace it with a hunger for righteousness and a desire to walk in Your will.
Lord, we plead the blood of Jesus over this family. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every plan of the enemy to divide, isolate, or destroy will fail. We ask that You expose the motives of those who seek to harm them, and that You frustrate every scheme of the enemy. Restore what has been broken, Father, and draw this daughter back to the safety of Your will, the support of her family, and the fellowship of her church.
We pray for godly spouses for these daughters, men who will love them as Christ loves the church, lead them in righteousness, and honor the covenant of marriage as You intended. Let Your peace, protection, and restoration reign in this family, and let their home be a beacon of Your light, drawing others to the love and grace found only in Jesus.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing in faith, trusting that God is at work even when you cannot see it. Surround yourself with believers who will pray with you and support you, and keep declaring God’s promises over your daughter’s life. The battle is the Lord’s, and He will fight for you.
