Beloved of All
“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭23‬:‭1‬-‭6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Prayer
Thank you Heavenly Father for this beautiful day. I pray for deliverance, peace, rest, forgiveness, and that you would rebuke this evil and remove it, and successful fast. Please also stop the burning on my flesh my Lord. I feel as if I am literally being burned. Please please please Heavenly Father remove this evil. Please also forgive me for my sins. Please also heal any unforgiveness I may have. Please stop the attacks that are currently happening my Lord and never seem to end. I would just love to be able to sit in peace again Jesus. Please Father grant me the ability to just sit in peace. I would be so grateful my Lord. In Jesus Christ precious name. Amen

We hear your cry for deliverance, peace, and rest, and we join you in lifting these burdens before the throne of grace. Psalm 23 is a powerful declaration of God’s provision and protection, and we stand on that truth with you. The Lord is your Shepherd, He does lead you beside quiet waters, and He will refresh your soul. Even in the darkest valleys, His rod and staff comfort you, for He is with you. We rebuke every spirit of torment, oppression, and physical affliction in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The burning you feel, the relentless attacks, these are not from God, and we command them to cease now in Jesus’ name.

Father God, we come before You with hearts heavy for our brother/sister in Christ. You see the weight they carry, the weariness in their spirit, and the pain in their flesh. We ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand and remove every trace of this evil. Your Word declares in James 4:7, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We stand on this promise, Lord. We resist the enemy’s schemes and declare that he has no authority here. Bring deliverance, peace, and rest to this precious child of Yours.

We also lift up the plea for forgiveness and healing of unforgiveness. Lord, Your Word tells us in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." We thank You for Your mercy and grace. Search this heart, Father, and reveal any areas where bitterness, resentment, or unforgiveness may have taken root. Heal those wounds and fill this heart with Your love and peace. Help them to extend the same forgiveness You have so freely given.

We pray against the attacks that seem unending. Psalm 34:17 assures us, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles." Lord, You hear this cry. Deliver them from every assignment of the enemy. Break every chain, silence every lying voice, and restore the peace that surpasses all understanding. Let them sit in Your presence, undisturbed and unshaken, as You guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Heavenly Father, we also ask for strength and endurance during this fast. You promise in Isaiah 58:6-9 that when we fast in righteousness, You will loose the chains of injustice, set the oppressed free, and break every yoke. We claim that promise now. Sustain them with Your Spirit, Lord. Let this fast be pleasing to You and bring about the breakthrough they desperately need.

We declare over this situation: No weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The Lord will contend with those who contend with you (Isaiah 49:25). You are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37). The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Let us pray together:

Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we come before You with authority and faith. We thank You for Your love, Your power, and Your faithfulness. We rebuke every spirit of affliction, torment, and oppression that is attacking our brother/sister. We command it to leave now and never return. We declare healing over their body, mind, and spirit. Lord, touch them with Your healing hand and remove every trace of this burning and pain. Bring Your peace, Your rest, and Your presence into this situation.

Father, we ask for Your forgiveness to flow freely in their life. Cleanse them from all unrighteousness and heal any areas of unforgiveness. Fill them with Your love and grace. Strengthen them during this fast, and let it be a time of breakthrough and deliverance. We declare that the enemy’s plans are thwarted, and Your will is done in this life. We thank You for Your goodness, Your mercy, and Your unfailing love. We trust in You, Lord, and we wait expectantly for Your deliverance.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

It is completely understandable that you are aching for a moment of simple, quiet peace. When the assault feels relentless and even your own body seems to burn, the desire just to sit undisturbed can become the deepest cry of the heart. We hear you in that, and we are sitting with you in it now.

Sometimes when we are under sustained spiritual pressure, the very physical symptoms you describe, the burning, the exhaustion, can be your body’s way of signaling that it is overwhelmed. It would be wise, as a concrete next step, to let a doctor examine this painful burning sensation. Let them rule out any medical causes and help you manage the physical toll, because stewarding our physical health is an act of wisdom even as we fight on our knees.

While you continue praying for deliverance and a successful fast, we want to gently encourage you not to carry the weight of this battle entirely alone. In seasons where attacks never seem to end, our adversary thrives on isolation. It is helpful to invite one or two mature, trusted believers, a pastor, a grounded prayer partner, to join you in a quiet season of prayer. Sometimes deliverance unfolds through the steady, persistent cover of the body of Christ, not just through a solitary, desperate cry. The enemy works to wear us out, and having others hold up our arms can make all the difference.

And as you seek forgiveness and healing for any unforgiveness you may harbor, be gentle with yourself. Freedom is often progressive, not instant. The Lord is not in a hurry.

Father, we come with this reader, asking for the mercy of a quieted mind and body. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray for a hedge of protection that allows space to rest, breathe, and find their footing again. Grant wisdom for medical care, give endurance for the fast, and surround them with faithful people who will pray until the breakthrough comes. Let one night of undisturbed stillness be the turning point. Amen.

What saith the Scripture? “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Do you believe this, O tried soul? The Shepherd who ransomed you from the pit with His own life’s blood has not forsaken you now. That burning sensation you describe, that unrelenting assault, do you think it has crept in without His permission? Not a hair of your head falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. He has said, “Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.” That ransom is Christ, and you are His. The rod and staff are in His hand; they are not instruments of destruction but of guidance and protection. Even when the rod falls heavily, it is chastening from a Father who loves you, not the lash of an enemy. “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten.” There is honey on the end of that rod, soul, if you will but taste it.

You cry for deliverance and peace. Good! But peace is not the absence of trial; it is the presence of Christ in the trial. You want to sit in peace? Then sit at His feet. The Lord will bless His people with peace, but that peace comes only from Him. You cannot manufacture it by your own efforts or by fleeing the battle. Turn, turn from any lingering regard for evil, from any unforgiveness lurking in your heart, for that is a root of bitterness that defiles. Have you forgiven? As Christ forgave you, so must you. The Lord will not bless with peace those who harbor rebellion in their spirits. But if you come to Him, confessing your sins, the ones you know and the ones hidden, He will sprinkle your conscience with the blood that whispers peace, and the burning shame will be quenched.

Why should you fear the dark valley when the Shepherd leads the way? He has prepared a table before you in the presence of your enemies. What does that mean? It means He sustains you, feeds you, anoints you with the oil of gladness, while your foes can only watch. Your cup overflows, not with ease, but with sustaining grace. Do not seek a life free from warfare; seek a faith that triumphs in it. The rest He gives is not the rest of idleness, but the rest of a yoke shared with Him. Take His yoke upon you, and you shall find rest for your soul. That rest comes by an instantaneous act of faith, rely upon Jesus now, and He will give you rest in the storm.

As for this evil you feel burning, whether from Satanic assault or the scorching of your own sinful nature, look to the Deliverer. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much God’s work as deliverance from its guilt. You cannot extinguish that flame; He must. But He has already quenched the fire of wrath against your sin in the blood of the cross. Now, plead that blood over this present torment. Tell the adversary, “I am bought with a price; I am not my own.” The Good Shepherd has said, “Deliver him from going down to the pit,” and He will not break His word. If you are His, you shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. The furnace may be heated seven times hotter, but One like the Son of God walks with you in it.

Cast yourself wholly on the ransom found by God. Look nowhere else for peace or healing. Your sins are forgiven, the prayer for forgiveness has been answered in Christ before you even asked. Now walk in that forgiveness. Let the water and the blood that flowed from His riven side be your double cure: cleanse you from the guilt you feel and the power that still assails. And when the enemy taunts, remind yourself that your life is hid with Christ in God. The Lord will not forsake His saints; they are preserved forever. The evil you fear shall not have dominion over you if you abide under the Shepherd’s care.

So sit in peace, not because the battle has ceased, but because the Captain of your salvation has conquered. Rest in the promise: “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” That is your portion. Not a sensation of burning, not a season of darkness can rob you of it. In Jesus’ keeping you are safe. Now, go forward, not looking to your own strength, but to the Stronger Arm that holds you fast.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You speak of a burning on your flesh and cry out for deliverance from evil. Understand this clearly: the flesh itself is not your enemy. It is not evil, as some falsely claim. The flesh is less than the soul, like a harp beneath a harper or a ship under a pilot. It is to be led, not to lead. When you feel this burning, it is not the flesh working by itself, but sin that dwells within, making a crafty assault. The soul sees what it must do, but sin thwarts it, so that you find how to perform what is good you cannot. Yet do not despair or charge the flesh with wickedness. This carnally minded state can be set right and abolished.

Your plea for forgiveness and to heal unforgiveness is most seasonable. Rebuke is hard to bear without consolation, as incision needs lenitives to assuage the pain. That is why, when I must rebuke with freedom, I do it out of fatherly bowels and ask forgiveness, proving my love. To be rebuked is to have the wound shown so the plaster of exhortation may be applied. If you harbor secret carping at others or reject peace offered with a pure heart, you add to despondency and draw down grievous punishment upon yourself. Come out from among those who touch unclean things, which defile the flesh, and those things which defile the spirit. Cleanse yourself from all defilement of flesh and spirit, and you will be received, says the Lord.

You long to sit in peace again. Then be separate, and let your mind be spiritually minded. To be spiritually minded is life and peace. God does not always speak with a heavy rebuke. When mysteries are being dispensed, He speaks mildly, saying, “Fear not.” He knows you are burdened and troublesome to yourself, but wait a little while in longsuffering. He bears with you, desiring to bring you to a better mind. The rebuke that is most successful proves the reality. Exhort yourself: Who walks within you? Who dwells in you? Let this be your season always, not only in security, but in this very danger and distress. Withhold not this correction from yourself with all authority, for your cup overflows and His goodness and love will follow you all your days.

Some of the deepest cries for peace come from places where every nerve feels raw and exposed. That sensation of burning, of an attack that seems to never relent, wears on the soul in ways words can barely capture. The cry you lifted from the twenty-third Psalm is exactly where you need to be: "The Lord is my shepherd." Not just the shepherd of the green pastures and the quiet waters, but the shepherd whose rod and staff comfort even when the shadow of death closes in. The valley is real, but his presence is more real still.

There is a peace the world simply cannot manufacture. Many seek rest through sheer willpower, through distraction, through numbing the pain, but those things only leave a person like a stormy sea that never settles. God offers something entirely different. The foundation for all real peace is knowing you are no longer at war with him. Through the blood Jesus shed on the cross, peace was made. That means the forgiveness you asked for is not a distant hope; it is a present reality for anyone who turns to him. The sin, the failure, the lingering unforgiveness in your heart, all of it was placed on him. You can stop striving to feel forgiven and simply rest in the fact that you are forgiven.

The attack you feel, that burning on your flesh, is spiritual. And while the enemy would love for you to flail wildly in panic, exhausting yourself in your own strength, the path to victory looks different. You gain more ground by resting in what Christ has done than by fighting in your own fear. God is not far off, waiting for you to get your act together before he intervenes. He knows the end from the beginning, and his thoughts toward you are thoughts of peace, to give you a future and a hope. He has not forgotten you in this fiery trial. The same God who walked into the furnace with those in ancient Babylon walks with you now.

Your desire to simply sit in peace is not a small request. It is the very thing God promises when your mind is stayed on him. That does not mean you ignore the battle, but it means you turn from trusting your own frantic efforts and fix your trust squarely on a God who is able to deliver you. You cease from your own exhausting works and enter into his finished work. That is where you find rest for your soul, not when the attack is completely gone, but when you realize the war is over because Christ already won it. Let that truth of his perfect peace, which confounds every scheme of the enemy, settle deep into your heart right now.
