Ps. 23, gratitude, deliverance, rest, peace, rebuke, forgiveness

JesusourLordandSavior

Beloved of All
“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭23‬:‭1‬-‭6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Prayer
Thank you Heavenly Father for this beautiful day. I pray for deliverance, peace, rest, forgiveness, and that you would rebuke this evil and remove it, and successful fast. Please also stop the burning on my flesh my Lord. I feel as if I am literally being burned. Please please please Heavenly Father remove this evil. Please also forgive me for my sins. Please also heal any unforgiveness I may have. Please stop the attacks that are currently happening my Lord and never seem to end. I would just love to be able to sit in peace again Jesus. Please Father grant me the ability to just sit in peace. I would be so grateful my Lord. In Jesus Christ precious name. Amen

We hear your cry for deliverance, peace, and rest, and we stand with you in agreement, lifting your burdens before the throne of grace. The Psalm you referenced is a powerful reminder of God’s faithfulness and care, He is your Shepherd, and in Him, you lack nothing. Even in the darkest valleys, His presence is your comfort, and His rod and staff guide and protect you. We declare that truth over your life today.

First, we must address the spiritual warfare you are enduring. The burning sensation you describe is not of God, for He does not torment His children. Scripture tells us, "For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against your body, mind, and spirit in the mighty name of Jesus. Every spirit of affliction, torment, and oppression, we command you to leave now and go where the Lord Jesus sends you. You have no authority here.

Your plea for forgiveness is heard, and we join you in repentance. The Bible assures us, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). We pray that the Lord would search your heart and reveal any areas where unforgiveness, bitterness, or sin may have taken root. Release it all to Him, for He is faithful to heal and restore. "Bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do" (Colossians 3:13). Let go of any unforgiveness, for it only harms you, not the one who wronged you.

We also lift up your fast to the Lord. Fasting is a powerful spiritual discipline that humbles us before God and sharpens our focus on Him. Jesus said, "But this kind doesn’t go out except by prayer and fasting" (Matthew 17:21). We pray that your fast would be fruitful, that your spirit would be strengthened, and that your connection with the Father would deepen. May He grant you clarity, wisdom, and breakthrough as you seek Him with all your heart.

For the attacks that seem unending, we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The Lord is your refuge and fortress, and in Him, you find shelter from the storm. We pray for a supernatural peace to flood your soul, a peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May you experience the rest that comes from trusting in Him, knowing that He fights your battles. "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still" (Exodus 14:14).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Deliverer. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the promise that You will never leave nor forsake us. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister to You, who is crying out for deliverance, peace, and rest. We ask that You would break every chain of oppression, torment, and affliction that the enemy has tried to place upon them. We rebuke every spirit of fear, burning, and attack in Jesus’ name. Let Your healing power flow through their body, mind, and spirit, restoring them fully to wholeness.

Father, we ask for Your forgiveness to wash over them, cleansing them from all unrighteousness. Search their heart, Lord, and reveal any areas of unforgiveness, bitterness, or sin. Give them the strength to release it all to You, trusting in Your mercy and grace. We declare that they are forgiven, just as You have forgiven them.

Lord, we pray for their fast, that it would be a time of drawing closer to You, of seeking Your face, and of experiencing Your presence in a deeper way. Grant them breakthrough, clarity, and wisdom as they seek You with their whole heart.

We ask for Your peace to flood their soul, a peace that surpasses all understanding. Let them experience the rest that comes from trusting in You, knowing that You are in control. Shield them from the attacks of the enemy, and let them dwell in the secret place of the Most High, where no harm can come near them.

We thank You, Father, for Your goodness, Your love, and Your faithfulness. We trust in You, knowing that You hear our prayers and that You are working all things together for good. May Your will be done in their life, and may they walk in the victory that is already theirs through Christ Jesus.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Hold fast to the promises of God, dear one. The Lord is your Shepherd, and He is leading you beside quiet waters. Even in the midst of the storm, He is with you. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and do not grow weary. Your breakthrough is coming. "Those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31). Stand firm in faith, and watch the Lord move on your behalf.

The weight of what you're carrying comes through clearly, especially the desperation for even a moment of quiet, and the physical sensation of burning that makes it impossible to rest. It sounds exhausting to feel under constant attack, physically and spiritually, while longing simply to sit in peace.

We grieve with you that this has dragged on, and we're grateful you reached out. One grounded thing we want to offer: the burning you're feeling warrants a doctor's attention, alongside your prayers. Our bodies and spirits are deeply connected, and sometimes what feels spiritual has a physical root that a physician can help address. We encourage you to see your doctor soon, not because we doubt your discernment, but because God often answers our cries for deliverance through wise medical care too.

While you wait for that relief, you're not alone. The Psalms give us language for the valley, but they also show us that David didn't walk it by himself. If you haven’t already, consider inviting a trusted, mature believer or small group to pray with you consistently. Many of our resources note that ongoing supportive prayer partnerships can make a real difference when attacks feel relentless. That's not a formula, just a way to let others hold up your arms when you're worn thin.

You also mentioned healing any unforgiveness. That's a tender area, and it often takes time. A simple step you can take right now is to tell the Lord honestly, “Show me if I'm holding onto something, and help me release it.” He already knows; you don't have to manufacture perfect forgiveness before coming to Him.

Please, hear this: you are not forgotten, and your longing for peace is not selfish, it's human. We're bringing this before the Father with you.

Jesus, we lift up this person who is worn down by relentless spiritual attack and physical pain. Shield them right now, in Your name, from every evil assault. Grant them clear wisdom to seek medical help where needed, and give them a trusted companion to pray and stand with them. Quiet the noise, Lord, and let them know, even for a few moments, Your healing stillness. Forgive, restore, and carry them through this dark valley. In Jesus' name, amen.

The Shepherd of whom you speak has not forsaken you, though the burning and the buffeting make you feel as if His rod were a scorpion and His staff a shadow fled. It is when the lamb cries out that the Shepherd draws nearest, though the darkness be dense. You plead for deliverance, for rest, for the voice that rebukes the evil, and well you may, for these are the true wants of a soul hunted by the adversary. But know this: the deliverance you seek has been purchased already. The ransom is found, and it is not a new work but an ancient, finished one. God has not merely invented a way, but He has provided the substitute, and that substitute has spilled His blood. The burning you feel upon your flesh is touched by that same flame of wrath which fell on Him, yet it is not your portion, for He was burned in your stead. Look no longer to the sensation, but to the sacrifice. That dark valley is not your dwelling; you walk through it, and the walk is brief compared to the eternal house where you shall dwell forever.

Rest now, not after more groaning, not after a deeper measure of grief. The rest Christ gives is present, and perfect, and found in the simple exercise of faith. You cry to sit in peace, then sit, not in a place free of enemies, but at the table He has prepared before them. The table is set, the oil is fresh, the cup overflows, and the enemies look on baffled. To do the will of Jesus, even amid the burning, is rest. When the mind is stayed on Him, the perfect peace becomes a garrison. Let not your heart be like the troubled sea that cannot be still; the wicked know no peace, but you are not of that company if you have fled to Jesus. The Precious Blood whispers peace within, a quiet voice that outshouts the roar of hell. Can sin remain, or unforgiveness cling? Yes, but He taketh away sin; the veil is rent, and the way into the Holiest stands open. Forgive, not by conjuring up a feeling, but by the act that nails the wrong to His cross. He forgave you the ten thousand talents; will you not forgive the hundred pence?

As for the evil that plagues you, remember that Pharaoh held Israel until the Lamb was slain, then deliverance came effectual. So with you: the evil one has a chain that reaches only to a certain point, and Christ has drawn that boundary. Cry to Him, but then rest in His commandment to save. He has given word to deliver you from the pit, and that word is surer than the mountains. The burning of an old wound may linger to remind you of the Archers you have escaped, but it shall not consume. It is a fire that tries faith, not destroys it. Be patient in the furnace; the fourth Man walks there. This is not your rest, earth is polluted, but the wells of salvation spring up even here. Drink of them, and let your song rise in the night, for He brings forth His people with silver and gold of grace, and there is not one feeble in His tribe.

So come, weary one, perform that act of faith now. Take the rest He gives, not as a doctrine but as a present possession. Trust and you shall rest. Lay hold of the promise: “The Lord will bless His people with peace.” If you are indeed His, that peace is your birthright. Return unto your rest, O tossed soul, and find it in the wounds of Jesus. There is no burning that His love does not quench, no enemy that His blood does not vanquish. Behold the Lamb of God, and as you gaze, the peace that passes understanding shall garrison your heart. He will keep you in perfect peace, peace, peace, until the day breaks and the shadows flee away.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You cry out for peace, for rest, for the burning to stop, and you cling to the Shepherd’s psalm. That is good, for He alone leads beside quiet waters. But mark this: the peace you seek is not the world’s peace, a mere truce of circumstances, but the peace that flows from a soul at one with God. The Lord’s rod and staff comfort us not merely by fending off outward enemies, but by driving out the inward mutineers. True peace is not when the flesh is left unchallenged, but when the diseased part is cut off, when the carnal mind, which is death, is mortified by the Spirit. You feel a burning? Many feel the fire of unruly passions or the assault of the evil one. Yet I say to you, we are debtors not to the flesh, to live after it. If you live after the flesh, you shall die; but if through the Spirit you mortify the deeds of the body, you shall live. That living brings the peace that surpasses all feeling, the table prepared even in the presence of enemies.

You ask for forgiveness and for the healing of unforgiveness. These go together. The mercy-seat of the new covenant speaks not of earthly truces but of the life to come, of reconciliation that makes earth heaven. Are you a peacemaker in your own heart? Do you forgive as you have been forgiven? For Christ’s peace is given to those who follow after peace with all men and pursue holiness, without which no one shall see the Lord. The burning you feel may be the fire of a conscience at war with God, or the enemy’s buffeting permitted to draw you to rely wholly on the Shepherd. Do not ask merely for the pain to cease; ask that the sin which gives it fuel be consumed. The flesh craves ease, but the Spirit leads you to say, “Though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.”

Therefore, examine yourself. Are you living according to the flesh in some secret way, nursing a lust, a grudge, a worldly entanglement? These bring death, not the green pastures. The God of love and peace delights in a soul that is of one mind with Him, that wars not against His commandments. If you will be a debtor to the Spirit, offering your body a living sacrifice, not making provision for the flesh to fulfil its lusts, then shall the peace of God garrison your heart. The Shepherd’s goodness and mercy shall chase you all your days, and no devouring flame shall touch you. Fast, then, not merely from food but from sin; let your fasting rend the bonds of wickedness. Then shall your light break forth as the morning and your healing spring forth speedily. Cry not only “remove this evil,” but “give me a spiritual mind,” and the burning shall be quenched by the river of His pleasure.
