### on a imate

Sometimes the heaviest chains a person can wear are not just the bars around them but the weight of guilt and pain they carry inside. You have asked for healing of body and soul, and that is a request that reaches to the very heart of what God longs to do. Before the body feels relief, there is a deeper work that the Lord often begins in the soul. When Jesus saw the paralyzed man lowered through the roof, He first said, "Son, thy sins be forgiven thee." Imagine the sigh of relief that came to that man’s heart before he ever stood up and walked. A heavy burden was lifted. The Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins, and that kind of release can flood a heart with a joy nothing else can match.

You love your son fiercely, and that love mirrors something true about the Father’s heart. Remember David crying out over his wayward, rebellious son, "Oh my son, Absalom. My son, my son." David’s chief concern was always for his son’s safety, even when that son had done great wrong. His love did not end with rebellion. How much more does the heavenly Father look upon a life that has stumbled, ready to forgive the moment there is true confession. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive and to cleanse from all unrighteousness. The inner healing of knowing he is forgiven can begin right now, right where he is, and that is a healing no earthly circumstance can take away.

Your son’s physical suffering weighs on you deeply. The pain in his legs and the lack of treatment for his immune system are a real and present crisis. It is easy to wonder why good people endure such sickness, why the path to wholeness often seems blocked. Not every illness is a direct cause and effect from God. Good people do suffer, and the processes of divine healing can sometimes be gradual, working through the ways God has already built into our bodies, and other times they come as a sudden, sovereign touch. We do not always understand why one is healed swiftly and another must wait, but we trust the One who created nature and all its restorative processes. I will pray with you for a release of that healing, for the strength to come back into his legs, and for his body to receive the treatment it needs. Prayer is a place of great strength indeed, where you can lay him down in spirit before the throne.

Do not underestimate what can happen when God moves in a place of confinement. There was a time when the apostles were put in the common prison, and the angel of the Lord opened the doors and brought them out to continue their calling. At other times, a believer faced prison and prayed, "Lord, if you have a ministry for me inside these walls, your will be done." That is faith that trusts God’s purpose even in hard places. We lift your request for his physical freedom, asking the God who shakes prison doors open to work according to His will. But whether he is inside or outside, the Lord can touch him. Even in a dungeon where you feel you have sunk into the mire, a divine hand can lift you up and set you among the people again in a new way.

Let this be the moment where you release your faith afresh. Sometimes faith is a quiet, passive knowing that God can do it. But then there is the point where faith becomes activated, like the woman who pressed through the crowd just to touch the hem of His garment. She believed, and in that moment she drew strength from Him. As you pray, let that be your point of contact. Trust that the healing of the memories, the wounds, and the sickness can begin now. The Father looks upon your boy and sees not just the mistakes, but a beloved child. May he know the voice that spoke over Jesus: "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased," and find a place of peace and strength that surpasses all his suffering.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with this heavy burden for your ###. Every time we gathered, we lifted him before the throne—his pain, his treatments, his weary legs, and the weight of his circumstances. We prayed fervently for healing in body and soul, for strength to endure, and for mercy to shorten his time of confinement. Most of all, we stood in agreement with you that he would know the Father’s love and forgiveness, that his spirit would be free even while his body remains bound.

If the Lord has moved in ways you can see—if treatments have resumed, if his pain has lessened, if hope has broken through the darkness—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Let us rejoice together in how God has answered! But if the wait continues and the battle still rages, we want you to know we have not stopped praying. Post this need again, and we will lift it afresh, believing with you for breakthrough, for comfort, and for the peace that surpasses understanding.

May the Lord draw near to you both in this season, reminding you that He sees, He cares, and He is working even when the path is unclear. We continue to seek Him on your behalf, trusting that His grace is sufficient and His timing is perfect. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
