We have read your request and our hearts ache with you in this pain, and we are lifting you up together before the Father in Jesus' name. To feel hated by God, by your own dad, and by others when you are trying to do the right thing, to cry yourself to sleep every night under such anxiety and to feel undesirable no matter how hard you try, is a heavy burden and we do not take it lightly.
We must gently but firmly rebuke some of the lies that sorrow and the enemy have placed on your heart, because they do not align with truth. It is not true that God hates you or is bitter with you. The Word tells us God is love and His love for you was proven at the cross while you were still in need of Him, Romans 5:8 says But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. And Romans 8:38-39 assures us that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from God's love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. What you are experiencing as unjust hate for trying to do the right thing is not proof that God hates you, it is actually something Jesus said would happen to those who follow Him, Matthew 5:11 says Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake, and John 15:18 reminds us If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you. God does not hate you for doing right, He sees it and honors it even when people do not.
We also must correct the thought that God promises things He cannot keep. That is not who God is. Numbers 23:19 says God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should repent. Has he said, and will he not do it? Has he spoken, and will he not make it good? And Titus 1:2 speaks of God, who can't lie. Every promise of God finds its yes in Christ, 2 Corinthians 1:20. If it feels like His promises have failed, it is often because we are interpreting His promises through our pain or through what we expect Him to do in our timing, not because He has been unfaithful. Jeremiah 29:11 says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. His thoughts toward you are not hatred but peace and hope.
We hear your deep hurt about your dad and feeling hated by him. Even if a father turns away, God draws near, Psalm 27:10 says When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up. And Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Your tears at night are not unseen, He collects them and He invites you to cast your cares on Him, 1 Peter 5:7 says casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you, and Philippians 4:6-7 calls us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
Regarding feeling super skinny and undesirable and that the gym is never enough, we want to speak truth over your identity. Your worth is not measured by muscle or size or appearance. 1 Samuel 16:7 says Man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart. Psalm 139:14 says I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. The body is to be cared for, for bodily exercise has some value, 1 Timothy 4:8, but it can never give you the acceptance and love your soul is longing for. Only Christ can. Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
We also notice your request did not mention Jesus, and we must lovingly tell you there is no other way to come to the Father and find true peace and salvation except through Him. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is only by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, and calling on His name, that we are forgiven and brought from feeling hated to being adopted as beloved children, Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we lift this precious one to You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. Lord, break the lie that You hate him and replace it with the truth of Your unfailing love shown at the cross. Let him know in his heart that You are near to his broken heart and that You see every tear and every sleepless night. We ask You to calm his anxiety and pain with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and to strengthen him and uphold him with Your righteous right hand. Heal the wound with his dad and help him to forgive and to receive Your perfect fatherly love. Free him from the trap of finding his worth in his body or in the gym, and show him he is fearfully and wonderfully made and deeply desired by You. Forgive his sins and draw him to salvation through Jesus, that he may know he is fully accepted and loved. Help him to trust that You keep every promise and that You work all things together for good for those who love You, Romans 8:28. Give him hope for the future and surround him with godly people who will encourage him in truth. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, amen.
