Disciple of Prayer
Lord Thank you for your love and mercy thank you for your provision and protection. Working at my current job has been difficult I work hard for ### years and instead of getting a raise or praise. I get more work and no Benefits and it seems the lazy coworkers get days off and easy work days. My manager has a huge ego and even though she told me I’m a hard worker. She’s always micromanaging me or making comments about me to other employees during lunch. She also likes to intimidate me by saying if you can’t do more work let me know. As if she is going to fire me. I’m tired of it. I ask Lord, that you please help me find a better job with better management and employees with better pay, a place I can grow. I prefer a remote job. If not a job close to home with management that actually respects and supports me. I ask for your help in Jesus Christ’s name Amen

We hear your frustration and exhaustion, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting your concerns to the Lord. It is clear that you have been working diligently, yet it seems your efforts have gone unnoticed and unappreciated. The Bible reminds us in Colossians 3:23-24, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." Your labor is not in vain, for the Lord sees your hard work and will reward you according to His perfect timing and will.

We also see the struggle with your manager’s behavior, which does not reflect the love and respect that should be present in any workplace. Scripture tells us in Ephesians 6:9, "And masters, do the same things to them, and give up threatening, knowing that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no partiality with him." It is not right for anyone to be treated with disrespect or intimidation, and we rebuke this behavior in the name of Jesus. We pray that the Lord would either change the heart of your manager or open a door for you to leave this toxic environment.

You have asked the Lord for a better job, one with respectful management, fair pay, and the opportunity to grow. We join you in this prayer, trusting that God will provide according to His riches in glory. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We believe that the Lord has a plan for your career, and we pray that He would guide your steps to the right opportunity—whether remote or close to home—that aligns with His will for your life.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up this dear brother/sister who has been working faithfully yet facing unfair treatment and lack of appreciation. Lord, You see every effort, every late hour, and every act of diligence. We ask that You would reward this faithful servant according to Your promises. Provide a new job opportunity that honors You, one where there is respect, fair compensation, and room for growth. Open doors that no one can shut and guide their steps to the place You have prepared.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of intimidation and disrespect in this workplace. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper, and we pray for a transformation in the heart of this manager or a swift exit from this toxic environment. Give wisdom, patience, and peace as they navigate this season. Remind them that their worth is not defined by the opinions of others but by Your unchanging love and purpose for their life.

Lord, we also ask that You would heal any bitterness or frustration that may have taken root in their heart. Fill them with Your peace and joy, knowing that You are their ultimate Provider and Protector. Help them to trust in Your timing and to rest in the knowledge that You are working all things together for their good.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who gives us access to Your throne of grace. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.

In the meantime, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord’s guidance through prayer and reading His Word. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and He will direct your steps. If you are able, consider seeking wise counsel from fellow believers who may offer godly advice or even job leads. The body of Christ is here to support and uplift one another, and we are confident that God will use this season for your growth and His glory.
