💝 New Heart, Ezek 36:26, 🙇🏻 Renewed by Mercy, Tit 3:5-6, 🐉 Serpent's Lies Resisted, James 4:7, John 8:44, 1 Peter 5:8, 🤺 Chooses God's Word, Gen 2:17, over lie of choosing right and wrong for herself, being her own god, Gen 3:4-5... 🙏 Father, in Your Kindness, Lead the woman we committed to each other before God together in the presence of many witnesses, and Our Families to Repentance, "the kindness of God is intended to lead us to repentance," Paul, Rom 2:4... You will none perish but all come to repentance, Peter, 2 Pet 3:9... You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. "Eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41, not humans that were originally made to image God, Gen 1:27.

Let us be merciful, that we may receive mercy, Matt 5:7... We ask for grace to add fasting, which the early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to prayer," (Tertullian, 155AD - 240AD). Help the one compassionate, honest and understanding family member witness to truth. Forgive this one the prayer for neglecting pastoral counsel and phone calls. We know that God causes all things to work all after the counsel of His will, Eph 1:11, not our will, and certainly not our timing. It's better to take refuge in God, than hope in princes, Ps 118:9. We trust You in the midst of trials, we trust in God -- God whose Word I praise, Ps 56:4... If king's hearts are as channels of water, Prov 21:1, how much more an individual spouse that is loved though she feeds on raisin cakes and is an adulteress, Hos 3:1-5.

Heavenly Father, I prayed for ### years asking for one called alongside to help -- I still need that prayer answered... If she's the one I'm asking for some fruit, hope and faith, or if not, please let me know with clarity. In the meantime, Lord, this is urgent and I know You aren't particularly happy when signs are requested, but mercifully grant me some.

Help me pursue peace and show all people, children, friends, enemies, and especially the lost love for Jesus and understanding of Your will through our actions and His Words, "The entirety of Your word is truth, and all Your righteous judgments endure forever," Ps 119:160. I ask that "from infancy he would know the Holy Scriptures, which make us wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus, 2 Tim 3:15.” I still aspire to do morning and early evening worship songs and devotions, attend church, listen to godly counseling sessions, watch G-rated movies, funny, clean, entertaining shows (that grow our faith and knowledge of Christ, His love, our love for Him, our thinking, ethics, faithfulness, honesty, laughter, joy, faith and proper worldview) -- do outreach together...

Soften her heart and protect her (and us) from evil, Matt 6:13. Help her (and I) use our "Bible App" and understand what it says enough to let the Words You have caused to live inside become flesh in real life -- Let "Jesus Christ's love be publicly portrayed," Gal 3:1, and model it to each and every family member, those most dear and beyond -- let us be living epistles known and read by all, 2 Cor 3:2. All Scripture is inspired by God Almighty and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth," John 17:17. Thank you in The Name of Jesus, The One Mediator between God and Man, 1 Tim 2:5, in Jesus' Name.

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh," Ezek 36:26.
“But this is the covenant I'll make... I'll put My law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I'll be their God; they'll be My people," Jer 31:33.
Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.," John 3:3. "Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again," John 3:7.

We stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting up this deep and heartfelt cry for transformation, clarity, and restoration. Your words reveal a longing for a new heart, a heart softened by God’s mercy, renewed by His Spirit, and aligned with His truth. We recognize the weight of waiting, the ache of uncertainty, and the desire for godly companionship. Let us come before the Lord together, seeking His will and His way in every aspect of this journey.

First, we must address the foundation of all prayer: the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Your prayer invokes His name, and we rejoice in that, for it is through His sacrifice and resurrection that we find redemption and hope. If the woman you are praying for does not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we pray that the Holy Spirit would draw her to Him, that she would repent of her sins, and receive the gift of eternal life (Romans 10:9-10). Salvation is the first and greatest need of every soul, and we must never assume it is already present without evidence of a transformed life.

You have rightly identified the battle for the heart, for it is in the heart that the lies of the enemy take root. The serpent’s deception in Genesis 3:4-5, "You will not surely die... you will be like God, knowing good and evil", is the same lie that entices people today to reject God’s Word and become their own authority. This is the root of all sin: the desire to be like God, to determine right and wrong for ourselves. We rebuke this deception in the name of Jesus and declare that the truth of God’s Word must prevail. The woman you are praying for must choose daily to submit to God’s truth rather than the lies that lead to destruction (James 4:7). We pray that she would resist the devil, and that he would flee from her, as Scripture promises.

The references to "raisin cakes" and an "adulteress" in Hosea 3:1-5 are sobering. If there is any unfaithfulness, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, it must be addressed with repentance and a return to God’s design for marriage. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by God for a lifetime (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). Any relationship outside of this design is sin and must be confessed and forsaken. If this woman is involved in a relationship that does not honor God’s standards, whether through fornication, adultery, or an unbiblical union, we pray she would have the courage to turn away from it and seek God’s forgiveness and restoration. The kindness of God is meant to lead her to repentance (Romans 2:4), and we trust that He will complete the work He has begun in her (Philippians 1:6).

You have prayed for clarity about whether this woman is the one God has for you. While signs and confirmations can be helpful, we must caution against seeking them as a substitute for wisdom and godly counsel. The enemy can deceive even the elect (Matthew 24:24), so we must test every spirit (1 John 4:1) and weigh every decision against Scripture. We encourage you to seek the Lord in prayer and fasting, as you have mentioned, and to surround yourself with mature believers who can speak truth into your life. Proverbs 19:21 reminds us, "There are many plans in a man’s heart, but Yahweh’s counsel will prevail." Trust that God’s timing and His will are perfect, even when they differ from our own.

Your desire to live a life that reflects Christ, through worship, Scripture, godly entertainment, and outreach, is commendable. We pray that the Lord would strengthen you in these disciplines and that your life would be a living epistle, known and read by all (2 Corinthians 3:2). However, we must also address the importance of community and accountability. You mentioned neglecting pastoral counsel and phone calls; this is an area where repentance and change are needed. Hebrews 10:24-25 exhorts us not to forsake gathering together, and Proverbs 11:14 tells us that "where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." Do not walk this path alone. Seek out a pastor, a mentor, or a trusted brother in Christ to walk alongside you.

We also lift up the children, friends, and lost souls you mentioned. Your desire to model Christ’s love to them is beautiful, and we pray that the Lord would use you as a vessel of His grace and truth. Teach the children the Scriptures from infancy (2 Timothy 3:15), and let your life be a testimony to the transforming power of the Gospel. Remember that outreach is not just about words but about actions, showing love, patience, and kindness to those who do not yet know Jesus.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts heavy with longing and hope. We thank You for Your promise to give us new hearts and to put Your Spirit within us (Ezekiel 36:26). We pray for this woman, that You would soften her heart, remove the lies of the enemy, and draw her to repentance. Lord, if she does not know You as Savior, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to her in a powerful way, that she would turn from her sins and receive the gift of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ.

Father, we pray for clarity and wisdom for our brother who has laid his heart before You. Give him patience to wait on Your timing and discernment to recognize Your will. If this woman is the one You have for him, prepare her heart and his to enter into a godly marriage that honors You. If she is not, grant him peace and the strength to let go, trusting that You have someone better prepared for him.

Lord, we rebuke any ungodly relationships or patterns in her life. If there is fornication, adultery, or any other sin, we ask that You would convict her heart and lead her to repentance. Restore what has been broken and heal what has been wounded. Teach them both to walk in purity and holiness, for Your Word says that without holiness, no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).

We ask for Your protection over their hearts and minds. Guard them from the schemes of the enemy and fill them with Your peace. Help them to delight in Your Word, to meditate on it day and night, and to let it guide their every step (Psalm 119:105). Sanctify them by Your truth, for Your Word is truth (John 17:17).

Father, we pray for their families. Soften the hearts of those who are resistant to the Gospel and use the witness of compassionate, honest, and understanding family members to draw them to Yourself. Let Your kindness lead them to repentance (Romans 2:4), and let Your love be evident in every interaction.

Lord, we ask for grace to fast and pray as the early church did, that our prayers would have wings and soar to Your throne. Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom (Psalm 90:12). Help us to trust in You alone, for You are our refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One Mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5), the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). May Your will be done in their lives, and may Your name be glorified in all things. Amen.

We hear the ache behind these words, the years of praying, the longing for a helper, the weight of watching someone you love drift from truth. It is a hard and wearying place to stand, and we are honored to stand with you in it today.

What strikes us is how deeply you already know that lasting change requires something only God can do: a new heart, a true turning. Repentance isn’t just feeling sorry; it’s a whole-life change of direction, and it often takes time, struggle, and the persistent kindness of God to bring it about. We join you in asking for exactly that, without pretending the waiting is easy.

On the practical side, you mentioned neglecting pastoral counsel and phone calls. That rings a bell worth heeding. Wise counsel can steady you when clarity feels just out of reach, and it can help you sort through what God is doing while you wait. Would you consider re-engaging with that pastor or a trusted mature believer, even just to be heard and prayed over in person? You don’t have to carry this alone.

Keep the rhythms you described: worship, Scripture, filling your mind with what is good and true. These are not merely duties; they are lifelines. As you do, trust that God knows your need for clarity, not to appease a demand for signs, but because He is a Father who gives good gifts.

Prayer: Father, we lift up this husband to You. You see his weariness and his hope. Renew his strength. Work in his wife’s heart that deep, Spirit-wrought repentance that turns from stone to flesh. Give him the wisdom he needs, the clarity he seeks, and the steadfast love to pursue peace while he waits. Surround them both with wise counsel and faithful community. We ask all this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

You speak of a new heart, and that is the very core of the matter, none but God can grant it. But you then clutter your plea with a demand for signs, as if the Almighty owed you a spectacle before you would deign to believe Him. What is this but the old pride of proposing and disposing, of saying, "I will have my way, and God must bow to my terms"? Do you not hear the echo of that foolish merchant who says, "I will go, I will buy, I will sell, I will get gain," and never once breathes a whisper of, "If the Lord wills"? You have woven a long prayer, yet a thread of that same self-reliance runs through it. You tell God what He must do, how He must answer, and even what signs He must grant. This is not the posture of a beggar at the gate of mercy; it is the demand of one who thinks he can both propose and dispose.

You cry for a sign about this woman, yet what sign could be plainer than the Word you already possess? You ask for a wonder, but what wonder exceeds the Son of God crucified for sinners and risen from the dead? To demand more is to insult the Sovereignty that gave that gift. It is to say, "I will not have Your mercy unless I can have it in my own way." What makes you ask for any greater sign than the signs God has already given? You are seeking altogether unnecessary things, useless signs. And I tell you plainly, this asking for signs and feelings often masks a secret unwillingness to obey the clear command: believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved. You would rather have a scorpion of ecstatic experience than the simple bread of trusting His naked promise.

I mark your prayers for her repentance, yet you tie them to your own demand for a particular outcome. Do you not see that God may be working in the delay, in the very withholding of your comfort, to break that pride which still lurks in your soul? You speak of waiting for years, but what are years to the God of eternity? David’s eyes failed him looking for God’s Word to be fulfilled, yet he looked still. You must still plead, still wait, but with this difference: with resignation, after your Savior’s perfect model in Gethsemane. "Nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will." Your urgency does not alter God’s wisdom. If He withholds, it is not cruelty. If He sends a tempest after you as you flee from simple trust, it is His mercy that sends also a whale to bring you safe to land.

And what is this fond rehearsal of all you aspire to do, morning and evening devotions, clean entertainment, and the like? These outward forms are good in their place, but do not mistake them for the new heart. A man may do all these and yet have a heart of stone. The new heart is not earned by a regimen; it is given by the sheer washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost. Your business is to fall upon your face and cry, "I am the man who needs this new heart right now, apart from any other soul." Let your first and most urgent prayer be, "Lord, keep me from the evil one; sanctify me by Your truth," irrespective of whether this woman ever turns or not. Till your own soul rests alone on Christ, all your plans for family worship are but the smoke of self-righteousness in His nostrils.

You say, "If she is the one, grant fruit, hope, faith." But if you are in Christ, you are already married to Him in a bond deeper than any earthly tie. The true marriage of the soul is a union cemented by mutual love and choice, where two become one, not a forced arrangement wrung from heaven by demands. If this earthly bond is contrary to His revealed will, then your persistent asking for God to bless what His Word condemns is not faith, but idolatry. You are setting up a rival for the throne of your heart. Seek first Christ and His righteousness. Cease from trying to manufacture a sign. Look to the clear command: you are to believe, to repent, and to leave her in the hands of a good God who does all things well. Break away from this iron cage of wanting your own way under the guise of piety. Get alone with God, put your finger on the place where humility begins, and say, "I will cry unto You till I receive an answer of peace," but let that peace be found in surrender, not in sight.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The prayer woven through these words reveals a soul in great turmoil, and that turmoil itself, if it is a sorrow over sin and a longing for righteousness, is not without profit. For godly sorrow works repentance unto salvation, a repentance which brings no regret. That is the medicine. Its first ingredient is the condemnation of our own sins. The righteous man is an accuser of himself at the first speaking. You have done this in asking for a new heart, and that is well, for where there was a heart of stone, only the hand of God can put a heart of flesh.

Yet consider this: you ask for a sign, for clarity about this woman. The Saints themselves knew not all things. Samuel saw the outward appearance of Eliab and thought, “Surely the Lord's anointed is before Him,” but God corrected him, for man looks on the outward appearance, but God looks on the heart. If a great prophet could not discern the king standing before him, how shall we, with our passions engaged, demand a sign to dictate God’s hidden will? The sign has already been given in the pattern of life. If she feeds on the husks of sin and is called an adulteress, the grief you feel is not a license to ignore the plain command of Scripture, but a call to seek true repentance for any part you have had in a union not conformed to the holy estate of marriage as Christ Himself defined it.

Do not look for a sign, but look to the nature of the marriage of which you speak. As at a marriage, it is not the maiden who goes to the bridegroom, but he who hastens to her, so did Christ come down to our poor and abject nature and lift it to Himself. A union blessed by God is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman. What you describe, a commitment made before God but now fractured by sin, demands not a prayer for its blessing, but a searching examination of its foundation. To pray for God’s kindness to lead to repentance is right, for He desires all to be saved. But that kindness leads away from the sin, not deeper into a partnership that defies His commands. You cannot cling to the source of the wound and ask the Physician to heal you at the same time.

You speak of fasting, and you speak of modeling love. But what love is this? The true spouse, as Scripture describes, has a mouth of wisdom and understanding, a heart acquainted with sound doctrines, and hands and feet manifesting good works. Her very soul is godliness. Do you see that fruit in a life you say resists truth and feeds on lies? To hope in a change for her is to pray for her salvation, and that is a mercy. But to insist on a sign that this person, persisting in the serpent’s lie of being her own god, is the helper God has provided for you, is to mistake the storm for the harbor. Let your fasting be joined to a sorrow that mourns sin, a sorrow that brings gain, which is the cure of the soul. For repentance has power even to renew those who have grown old in sins, though it cannot restore that first innocence of the laver as if grace had never been spurned.

Pray for the softening of her heart, yes; for yourself, pray to be made new. But do not ask God to bless what He has not blessed. Do this and you will find the peace you seek: pursue peace by severing every tie to sin, and show love to all chiefly by refusing to affirm a relationship that runs against the historic faith. For the Church is a spiritual bath, but it wipes away the stains of the soul, not merely giving comfort while the filth remains. Cleanse your own heart by true repentance. Seek godly counsel not to affirm your will, but to submit it. And as for the prayer you say was neglected, heed that warning now. Esau also sought repentance with tears, yet he found no place for it, because his was not the sorrow that surrenders the forbidden thing, but the grief of a man who only hated the consequence, not the sin. Do not let that be your story. Repent as it behoves a Christian to repent, and leave the outcome of her soul, and of your future, in the hands of God who works all things after the counsel of His will.

Your prayer reaches into the depths of God’s covenantal promises, and I can sense both your longing and your weariness. You are asking for a new heart in someone you love, for a fresh work of mercy, and for clarity in your own soul. That very desire shows that the Spirit is at work in you, teaching you the difference between a faith that merely consents with the mind and a faith that is written on the heart, the seat of your will and your deepest loves.

The new covenant is not a list of conditions we strain to meet. It is God’s own pledge to do what we cannot do for ourselves: to remove the heart of stone and give a heart of flesh, to write His law within us so that we obey out of a living affection, not a fearful or ritual duty. When a person comes into this new relationship with God through Jesus Christ, the things we once struggled to produce in our own strength begin to grow as the natural fruit of love. Joy, peace, patience, goodness, self-control, they are not demands we use to measure another, but evidence that a soul has been married to Christ and is being held by Him.

I hear your cry for a sign, for some clear indication of whether to keep hoping or to release your grip. You already know that a faith that demands proof before it obeys is a fragile thing. The God who pledged Himself to you in the cup of the new covenant does not need to be tested; He is already faithful. His timing is not ours, and His kindness is right now at work, often most powerfully when we cannot trace it. You cannot force a hardened heart to soften, any more than you can pry a stone open with your own fingers. Pharaoh hardened his heart again and again, and in the end God gave him up to the firmness he had chosen. Yet God’s mercy is also displayed in those whom He draws with cords of love even after they have fed on the husks of unfaithfulness. That is the picture Hosea lived out. So your call is not to manipulate outcomes but to abide in the love that has already been poured into your own heart.

What, then, is your own heart bringing forth? The law written there is a law of love, and love will not rejoice in wrongdoing. It will not pretend that unrighteousness and righteousness have any shared portion. There is no true fellowship between light and darkness, and God does not bless a half-hearted mixture of devotion to Him and dalliance with sin. You long to see this woman walking in repentance, breaking from the lies that whisper she can be her own god and decide right and wrong for herself. But the first turn must be inward. Are there idols in your own heart, perhaps even the idol of this relationship, the need for certainty, or a bitterness that has settled in while you waited? Let the kindness of God lead you also to repentance, right now, for He is your Father and wants a loving, open communion with you, not a tense negotiation.

You mentioned “neglecting pastoral counsel and phone calls” and asked forgiveness. Receive that forgiveness now. The past cannot be rewound, but the new creation in Christ is always now. Your past failures do not determine your standing before God; the blood of the new covenant speaks a better word. Let that mercy enlarge your heart and free you from the narrow, pressurized place of anxiety. Then your fasting and prayer will not be frantic attempts to get God’s attention but acts of trust that He sees what is hidden and will work His will in His way.

Keep praying for that new heart for her, but let your own life become the living epistle she reads. The law of love in you will be patient and kind, not harsh and grasping. It will not insist on its own timeline. If God wrote the promise that He would be your God and you would be His people, He will not fail to keep it. And if you are in a covenant of marriage with one who resists truth, your immediate assignment is to pursue peace and show the self-giving love of Christ, not to force a change she is not yet willing to receive. At the same time, Scripture warns against being unequally yoked in deep spiritual partnership. That is a reality to carry before the Lord with an honest heart, not a threat to wield.

Ask God more for a clearer sight of your own heart than for a sign about hers. Let “search me, O God, and know my heart” be your daily breath. Then trust that the One who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion. The new relationship into which Christ has brought you is no longer a struggle to earn His favor. It is living out of the favor that is already yours, bound to Him by love that will not let you go. From that place of rest, you can love, you can wait, you can speak truth, and you can leave the timing and the softening of all hearts to Him.

We are deeply moved by the heartfelt prayer request shared with us, and we want you to know that we have continued to lift you, your loved ones, and this situation before our Heavenly Father with earnest hearts. Your cry for a new heart, for repentance, for clarity, and for God’s mercy to break through the lies of the enemy has been echoed in our prayers. We stand with you in agreement, trusting that God is at work even when we cannot see it.

We have prayed specifically for the softening of hearts—both yours and those you are interceding for—that the kindness of God would lead to repentance, just as His Word declares. We have asked the Lord to grant you wisdom, patience, and discernment as you seek Him, and to reveal His will with clarity, whether through signs, His Word, or the gentle prompting of the Holy Spirit. We have also prayed for protection over your family, that the evil one would have no foothold, and that God’s truth would prevail in every situation.

If the Lord has already moved in response to these prayers, we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report so that we may rejoice with you. If the answer has not yet come, or if the journey feels long and uncertain, we encourage you to bring this request before the Lord again. We are committed to standing with you in prayer, trusting that God is faithful to complete the work He has begun.

May the Lord bless you with His peace as you continue to seek Him. May He strengthen your faith, deepen your dependence on His Word, and fill you with hope as you wait on Him. We pray that His love would be evident in your life, drawing others to the truth of the Gospel. Let us continue to trust in His perfect timing and sovereign will, knowing that He desires all to come to repentance and to be saved.

We lift all these things up in the powerful name of Jesus, our Mediator and Redeemer. Amen.
