Good and Faithful Servant
๐Ÿ’ New Heart, Ezek 36:26, ๐Ÿ™‡๐Ÿป Renewed by Mercy, Tit 3:5-6, ๐Ÿ‰ Serpent's Lies Resisted, James 4:7, John 8:44, 1 Peter 5:8, ๐Ÿคบ Chooses God's Word over Being Her Own god, Gen 3:5... ๐Ÿ™ Father, in Your Kindness, Lead My Matrimonial Love we committed to each other before God in the presence of many witnesses, Me, and Our Families to Repentance, "the kindness of God is intended to lead us to repentance," Paul, Rom 2:4... You will none perish but all come to repentance, Peter, 2 Pet 3:9... You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. "Eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41, not humans that were originally made to image God, Gen 1:27.

Let us be merciful, that we may receive mercy, Matt 5:7... We ask for grace to add fasting, which the early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to prayer," (Tertullian, 155AD - 240AD). Her one compassionate, honest and understanding family member says she "knows" she'll come back, but I am in prayer, Ps 109:4. Forgive her for neglecting pastoral counsel and phone calls. We know that God causes all things to work all after the counsel of His will, Eph 1:11, not our will, and certainly not our timing... It's better to take refuge in God, than hope in princes, Ps 118:9. We trust You in the midst of trials, we trust in God -- God whose Word I praise, Ps 56:4... If king's hearts are as channels of water, how much more an individual spouse that is loved? Prov 21:1.

Heavenly Father, I ask You give the one called alongside to help and children love for Jesus and understanding of Your will through our actions and His Words, "The entirety of Your word is truth, and all Your righteous judgments endure forever," Ps 119:160. I ask that "from infancy we would know the Holy Scriptures, which make us wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus, 2 Tim 3:15.โ€ I still aspire to do morning and early evening devotions, listen to godly counseling sessions, watch G-rated movies, funny, clean, entertaining shows (that grow our faith and knowledge of Christ, His love, our love for Him, our thinking, ethics, faithfulness, honesty, laughter, joy, faith and proper worldview).

Soften her heart and protect her (and us) from evil, Matt 6:13. Help her (and I) use our "Bible App" and understand what it says enough to let the Words You have caused to live inside become flesh in real life -- Let "Jesus Christ's love be publicly portrayed," Gal 3:1, and model it to each and every family member, those most dear and beyond -- let us be living epistles known and read by all, 2 Cor 3:2. All Scripture is inspired by God Almighty and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth," John 17:17. Thank you in Jesus' Name.

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh," Ezek 36:26.
โ€œBut this is the covenant I'll make... I'll put My law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I'll be their God; they'll be My people," Jer 31:33.
Jesus replied, โ€œTruly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. "Do not be amazed that I said, โ€˜You must be born again," John 3:7.

We come before the throne of grace with a heavy yet hopeful heart, lifting up this marriage that was covenanted before God and witnesses. Father, we acknowledge that You alone can soften hearts, restore what has been broken, and breathe new life into what feels like dry bones. Your Word declares, "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh" (Ezekiel 36:26). We claim this promise over both spouses, trusting that You are at work even when we cannot see it.

Lord, we recognize the enemyโ€™s tactics to deceive and divide, just as the serpent did in Eden, whispering lies that we can be our own gods (Genesis 3:5). We rebuke every spirit of rebellion, pride, and independence that has taken root in this marriage, declaring that Jesus Christ alone is Lord. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). We stand on Your truth, knowing that "the entirety of Your word is truth" (Psalm 119:160), and we pray that both spouses would choose Your Word over their own desires or the worldโ€™s deception.

We are grieved by the neglect of pastoral counsel and the hardening of heart that has occurred, but we know that "the kindness of God leads us to repentance" (Romans 2:4). Father, we ask You to pour out Your mercy afresh, that this spouse would turn back to You and to the marriage covenant. "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). We trust in Your perfect timing, knowing that "God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28).

We pray for the one who remains faithful, that You would strengthen their resolve, fill them with Your peace, and help them to model Christโ€™s love even in this trial. May their devotion to You and to Your Word be a testimony to their children and family, that they would see Jesus in their actions and words. "Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven" (Matthew 5:16). We ask that You would guard their heart from bitterness, resentment, or despair, and instead fill them with hope and perseverance.

Father, we also lift up the children in this family, that they would come to know You intimately through the Scriptures, which are "able to make them wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus" (2 Timothy 3:15). May they grow in love for You and understanding of Your will, even as they witness the challenges of their parentsโ€™ marriage. We pray that You would use this season to draw them closer to You and to one another.

We agree together in fasting and prayer, as the early church practiced, believing that it lends wings to our petitions (Matthew 17:21). We ask for grace to deny ourselves, to seek Your face, and to intercede with fervency for this marriage. "If two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven" (Matthew 18:19).

Lord, we ask that You would protect this family from the evil one, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). "Do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one" (Matthew 6:13). Sanctify them by Your truth, for Your Word is truth (John 17:17). May they be living epistles, known and read by all, reflecting the love and holiness of Christ (2 Corinthians 3:2).

We declare that no weapon formed against this marriage will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that what the enemy intended for harm, You will turn for good (Genesis 50:20). We trust in Your sovereignty, knowing that even the hearts of kings are in Your hand (Proverbs 21:1), and surely the heart of this spouse is as well.

Above all, we pray that this marriage would bring glory to Your name, that it would be a testimony of Your faithfulness and grace. May both spouses come to a deeper knowledge of You, walking in repentance, humility, and love. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12) and through whom we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18). Amen.

We stand with you, dear brother/sister, in interceding for this marriage. We echo your cries to the Father, asking Him to renew their hearts and minds according to His will. We claim His promise in Ezekiel 36:26, "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh." We pray that both spouses would experience this transformation, turning away from their own desires and the world's deception, and choosing God's Word instead (John 8:44).

We also join you in rebuking the enemy's schemes to deceive and divide. We stand on God's truth, knowing that His entire word is truth (Psalm 119:160), and we ask that both spouses would be sanctified by it (John 17:17). We pray for the faithful spouse, that they would be strengthened, filled with peace, and model Christ's love even in this trial (Matthew 5:16). We also lift up the children in this family, praying that they would come to know God intimately through the Scriptures (2 Timothy 3:15) and grow in love for Him and understanding of His will.
