Chrysostom
Beloved of All
This is a prayer request that contains personal details, names, and sensitive information. I will redact the personal identifiers while preserving the religious and scriptural content.

Your pain and your long endurance have been heard, and I have carried your request before the Lord with sorrow and with hope. You describe a house divided by harsh words, a mother who is also a grandmother and the last of her generation, whose mouth brings shouting and criticism, and you feel forsaken, alone, far away, without work, wounded by betrayal and hidden alliances that destroyed your reputation and left you in panic and fear of others. You also carry concern for your mother as she labors in old age to help your brother's family, and pain that your spouse is distant from your family, and the memory of your father who is now with the Lord.
Scripture gives you a true word for this moment. Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me. That promise in Psalm 27 is not empty. When human help fails, God does not forsake. He receives, He keeps, He heals.
You have also suffered the sting of betrayal at work, where coworkers conspired and your good name was damaged. The Scriptures show us that even among the twelve, one betrayed the Lord for love of money, giving a kiss as a sign. Such treachery is grievous, and the love of money and the desire to harm another can make the soul drunk and beside itself. Yet the Lord knew this would still go forward in His secret purpose, not overcome by the malice of men. Learn from Job, who when he lost all said, The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord. The enemy wants not only your job or your finances but your thanksgiving. Whether a loss becomes a true loss or even a gain depends on whether we keep our trust and give thanks to God. Do not let the wickedness done against you compel you to blasphemy or despair. Guard your heart, for humility is the mother of all virtues and pride is the root of all evil.
For your mother, I pray that God will soften her heart and take away resentment, and that He will protect her in her age and in her labor. Honor for a mother remains, even when her words wound. Christ Himself spoke to His mother with gentleness and measured words, leaving room for choosing the good. You cannot force your spouse to love your family, and you should not try to force what only grace can do. Instead continue with one accord in prayer, as the first disciples did in the upper room, waiting on God with one soul. Pray that God will bring peace into your home, unity between you and your spouse, and respect and kindness toward your mother.
For your own heart, I pray for deliverance from panic and fear of humans, and for healing from the abuse you endured. God sees the hidden alliances and the evil done against you, and He will be your defender. Ask Him for provision, for honest work, and for restoration of what was taken, trusting that He who clothes the fields will provide for you.
And for your whole household, we hold fast to the promise, Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your household. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, where life together and faithfulness belong within it. May God bring salvation to every member of your family, comfort you in the loss of your father who is with the Heavenly Father, and gather you all one day in His presence.
Let us pray. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift this wounded child to You. You see the shouting and the insults, the loneliness and the distance, the betrayal at work and the fear that remains. Receive this one as You have promised when father and mother forsake. Heal the heart of this mother and grandmother, take away resentment, guard her from bitterness, and give her rest and health in her old age. Provide for her and for the family of the brother as they labor, and keep them in Your hands. Provide for Your child who is without work, who was abused and slandered. Restore what was destroyed, give daily provision, take away panic, and cast out fear of humans. Bring peace between husband and wife, teach them to love what You love and to honor family in a way that pleases You. Save this whole family through faith in Jesus Christ alone, heal every generation from disgrace and destruction, and let no weapon of torment prosper. Give peace that passes understanding and keep all hearts in Christ Jesus. Amen.
