We hear your heart's cry and we stand with you in agreement for the complete victory of Jesus Christ over every work of the devil and Satan in your life. We join you in desiring to see his mouth silenced, his plans halted, and his influence removed from your past, present, and future, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of wickedness.

We rejoice that you have called upon the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have authority and access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved and delivered. Scripture assures us of what you are praying for, that the Son of God was revealed for this very purpose, that he might destroy the works of the devil, 1 John 3:8. At the cross He triumphed, having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it, Colossians 2:15, and through death he might bring to nothing him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, Hebrews 2:14.

We also want to encourage you with biblical understanding as we pray together. While Jesus has decisively defeated Satan, the Word shows us that the final and forever binding of Satan into the lake of fire is yet to come at the end of this age, Revelation 20:10. Until then, we are called to walk in that victory daily by submitting to God and actively resisting the enemy. The promise is Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you, James 4:7, and Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour, 1 Peter 5:8. We are not to fear him, for we have been given authority, and we are to put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, Ephesians 6:11, which includes truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, the Word of God, and prayer. The God of peace will quickly crush Satan under your feet, Romans 16:20, as we continue to abide in Christ.

So we encourage you to continue to submit every area of your life to the Lordship of Jesus, to confess and turn from any known sin, to dwell in His Word, and to pray without ceasing, trusting not in a formula but in the person and finished work of Christ who intercedes for you.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, and we thank You that Jesus has already disarmed the powers of darkness. We ask in Jesus' name that You would silence the voice of the accuser over this dear one, that You would halt and render powerless every plan, scheme, direct attack, indirect influence, and hidden connection of the devil and Satan directed toward them. Lord, we ask that by the blood of the Lamb and the power of Your Holy Spirit You would cleanse and remove every work of the enemy from their past and break its power over their present and future. We ask that You would bind the influence of the evil one in their life and render him unable to carry out his work against them, and that You would fill every place once affected by darkness with Your light, peace, and truth. Help them to stand strong, to submit fully to You, and to resist the devil so that he must flee. Clothe them in Your full armor and keep them in Your perfect will and protection. We trust Your timing for the final and eternal judgment of Satan while we claim the victory Christ has already won for us today. We pray all of this in the victorious name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We hear how much you want to be fully safe and at rest in Jesus, free from any work of the enemy in your past, present and future. That longing to be covered and kept by Him is understandable, and we are glad you brought it to Him so directly. We are standing with you in prayer for His protection and peace over your life.

One thing we have found steadying when these concerns feel heavy is to keep our focus more on walking closely with Jesus Himself than on tracking what the enemy may be doing. Fear can pull our attention toward every possible influence, but growth in Christ tends to happen more like training than like a single moment. Simple, faithful steps over time, spending time with Him in prayer, staying in His Word, and staying connected to other believers who know you, help keep our hearts anchored when worries about yesterday or tomorrow rise up.

If you have not already, it may help to share this prayer burden with a trusted pastor or mature believer who can pray with you regularly and walk alongside you, so you are not carrying it alone.

Father, we lift our friend to You and thank You that You are near and You care for them. We ask You to guard them, to give them clear assurance of Your presence, to quiet fear, and to lead them in Your wisdom and peace each day. Help them to rest in what Christ has done and to walk in Your strength. In Jesus' name, amen.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Your prayer is heard, and it lays hold upon the very victory which Christ has already won. The Scripture declares, He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and Satan, that prince of darkness, has been overthrown. The Seed of the woman has bruised his head, and that death upon the Cross was the deathblow to the devil's usurpation.

There is comfort here for your soul. When it seemed you would be dragged down, the voice came from the excellent Glory, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, for I have found a ransom. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance if God had not thought of it, and He has found it in the finished work of His well beloved Son. That ransom silences every accusation of the adversary, for who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect when Christ has died and risen.

We join our faith with yours and pray to our gracious God who acts from good reasons and whose overruling hand holds all your ills within the fence of His providence.

O Lord our God, we beseech You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, deliver this Your servant from going down to the Pit. Let the power of that ransom be manifest, that the mouth of the accuser may be stopped and every plan of the evil one, whether direct or indirect or by any influence whatsoever, may be brought to nothing. As You have delivered us from the power of darkness, keep this soul from being enslaved thereby, for sin shall not have dominion over those who are under grace. Let the victory of Christ, who said Be of good cheer, I have overcome the world, be applied to this life, from all that has been in the past even to all that is to come. Chasten as You see fit, but we thank You that You have not given over to death those who trust in Christ, and we ask that You would snap every band, drag off every evil habit, and set Your servant at liberty to live and declare the works of the Lord.

May you be kept by His help to overcome, and may you stand as one who is more than a conqueror through Him that has loved us, giving glory to Him who alone saves, until the day when every foe shall be put beneath His feet. In the name of Jesus Christ our only hope and Redeemer we pray, Amen.

Your prayer has been brought before the Lord and we join you in asking for His protection and deliverance in the name of Jesus Christ.

We hear your desire that the Lord would put an end to the works of the devil, silence his influence, halt his plans, and remove his work from your life from the past into the future. Scripture teaches that Christ has won the decisive victory through His cross and resurrection, and that the devil is a defeated foe whose final judgment is sure. Yet until that final day we are called to stand firm, always armed, in this present life.

God in His wisdom has ordered things so that the devil does not prevail over us by compulsion. He is like a robber who waits in a desert place, and that desert place is sin. He does not dare to attack when he finds a person clothed in the armor of God. When he sees us unarmed and alone he is bold, but when we are guarded he trails along the ground and cannot lift himself high. For this reason we need the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, and we need continual prayer that he may be bruised under our feet.

The apostle calls this life the evil day and urges us not only to fight and to strike the enemy, but having done all, to stand. Many gain a victory for a moment and then fall again because they do not keep their stand. Our call is to do what is right and then to remain standing, not wavering, so that the adversary does not rise again. The Lord who delivered from the lion's mouth is able also to deliver from every evil work and to keep us from falling into condemnation, so that we may resist sin even unto blood and not yield.

So we pray with you now:

Heavenly Father, we come to You through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved. We thank You that Your Son has triumphed over sin and death and over all the power of the enemy. We ask in the name of Jesus that You would restrain the devil and his works in this life, whether direct or indirect, and guard from every influence and connection that would lead away from You. Cover this life with the blood of Christ, forgive what is past, and set a guard over what is to come. Grant strength to put on the full armor You provide, to live by faith and obedience, to flee from sin as from a serpent, and having done all, to stand. Keep this heart from fear and sadness that would please the enemy, and fill it instead with joy in Your victory. Let all that is done and said give glory to You, so that You may be glorified in faith and in works. We ask that You would silence every accusation and halt every plan of the evil one according to Your perfect will, and that You would lead into holiness, peace, and steadfast hope until Christ comes again. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.
