We join with you in this prayer and we agree together in the name of Jesus Christ for His victory to be made manifest in your life, for He alone has the power to destroy the works of the evil one and to silence every accusation and scheme.

We take comfort that the Word tells us the purpose of Christ's coming, that the Son of God was revealed for this purpose, that he might destroy the works of the devil, 1 John 3:8. We know that through His death He has brought to nothing him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, Hebrews 2:14, and that we are given authority through Him, for He said, Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you, Luke 10:19.

We also understand your desire to see Satan completely bound and unable to carry out his work. We share that longing and we pray for God's protection and deliverance over you right now. At the same time we want to encourage you with what Scripture teaches about how God deals with the enemy. We are called to resist the devil in the present age, knowing that God will bring his final and eternal judgment in His perfect time. So be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you, James 4:7. Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith, 1 Peter 5:8-9. We are to put on the whole armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, for our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, Ephesians 6:11-12. The ultimate silencing and binding of Satan forever is God's final act, when the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, Revelation 20:10, and we look forward to the day when the God of peace will quickly crush Satan under your feet, Romans 16:20.

So we pray together now against every direct and indirect influence, every whisper, accusation, and plan of the enemy.

We pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ that every work of the devil against you would be destroyed and brought to nothing. We ask the Lord to silence the accuser, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, Revelation 12:10, and we overcome him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony, Revelation 12:11. We ask Jesus to halt every plan and scheme formed against you, whether seen or unseen, and to render the enemy powerless to carry out his purposes in your life, your mind, your home, and your circumstances. We ask the Father to fill you with His peace and to cause the enemy to flee as you submit yourself fully to God, resist him, and walk in obedience and faith.

We encourage you to continue to abide in Christ daily, to remain in prayer, to speak Scripture aloud, to put on the armor of God each day with truth, righteousness, the preparation of the Good News of peace, faith, salvation, the Word of God, and prayer. As you draw near to God, He will draw near to you, and no weapon formed against you will prosper when you are hidden in Christ.

We thank God that you have called upon the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we have victory, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, and whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved, Romans 10:13. We praise Him that Jesus is Lord and that His victory is already accomplished at the cross and will be fully completed at His return.

We stand with you and we ask all of this in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We hear the longing in your prayer for Jesus to have the final word over every work of the enemy and to bring you into real peace. That desire for His protection and authority is good, and we want to stand with you in it.

We believe Jesus has won the decisive victory, and at the same time we live in a time where we still look to Him daily for strength and keeping. A helpful balance many believers find is to give more attention to knowing Christ and walking close to Him than to tracking what the enemy might be doing. When our focus stays on Him, fear loses ground.

If it would help, consider a simple steady rhythm rather than trying to cover everything at once. A brief daily time to be with the Lord in prayer and in Scripture, and inviting one or two trusted believers or a pastor to know how you are praying so they can pray with you and check in, can bring steadiness over time. You do not have to carry this alone.

Father, we lift this person to You and ask for Your covering and peace. Keep them close to Jesus, quiet any confusion or fear, and make Your presence very real day by day. Guide their steps and surround them with supportive community. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join you in prayer at once concerning this great enemy, and we take comfort that your cry is one which the Lord delights to hear and to answer.

There is a voice that has come from the excellent Glory concerning every soul that trusts in Christ, crying, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, for I have found a Ransom. That conquering cry, It is finished, was the deathblow to the devil's usurpation. Satan may have thought he triumphed when Christ was crucified, but that Cross was his defeat, and that risen Man who now sits upon the throne has already overcome the world on behalf of all His people. The arch enemy has been conquered by Man, and though he still prowls, he is a vanquished foe held as a man holds a horse by its bridle, permitted to go no further than Infinite Wisdom allows.

You do well to look not to self, nor to means, nor to any strength of your own, but only to Christ. Deliverance from the power of darkness and from the guilt and power of sin is as much the work of God as any other grace, and where we look for justification there must we look for sanctification and for keeping. Resist the devil in the name and merit of Jesus, and he will flee from you. Even when he casts you to the ground, remember the righteous falleth many times but riseth up again, and the designs of the enemy shall be frustrated.

Let us pray together.

O Lord Jesus Christ, Thou Seed of the woman who has bruised the serpent's head, we bless Thee that Thou hast spoiled principalities and powers and triumphed over them. We ask Thee now to put an end to all the works of the devil and Satan concerning this Thy servant, to silence every accusing mouth, and to halt every plan and device, whether direct or indirect or by any connection or influence whatsoever. Bind the strong man, we pray Thee, and render him unable to carry out his work, for Thou hast said Thou beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Keep this soul from the Pit, keep his life from perishing, and let Thy mighty hand be upon him for deliverance. Let him hear Thy voice saying, I have found a Ransom, and let him live to declare the works of the Lord. We ask this not by our own power, but by Thy blood and Thy intercession alone, that Satan may shortly be bruised under our feet. In Thy name, Lord Jesus, Amen.

Your longing for Jesus Christ to put an end to the works of the devil and to silence every plan of the enemy is a right and Christian prayer, and it is one that Scripture itself teaches us to pray.

The apostle says that the Lord delivered him from the mouth of the lion and will deliver him from every evil work. By the lion he meant both the fierce ruler who sought his life and the devil himself who prowls like a lion. The first deliverance was from present danger, the greater deliverance is that we may be kept from sin and not depart with condemnation, so that we may be able to resist even to the point of striving against sin. In this way Christ has shown His power, and He will yet show it fully when this present age comes to its end.

For now, as it is written, our wrestling is not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness in this world. The enemy still occupies his place under heaven until the time appointed, and his kingdom belongs to this age. Therefore Christ has already accomplished the victory at the cross, delivering us from the curse and bringing us into sonship, and He has given us His Spirit so that we may live as sons. Yet He also calls us to keep guard.

That keeping guard means not only turning away from evil deeds but being adorned with good. The washing of new birth is not enough by itself to save us unless after it we display a life worthy of the gift. The crown is given by Him, but it is ours to hold it fast. Willing itself is natural and from God, but willing in the right way, toward what is good, comes from our own choice as we yield to Him.

So we pray with you that Christ would restrain the adversary in every direct and indirect influence, silence his mouth, and frustrate his schemes against you, and we pray also that you may be kept steadfast within. Guard your heart, for evil thoughts bred within defile a person, and guard your company, for evil communications corrupt good manners and have special strength in times of trial.

Let us pray together. Lord Jesus Christ, You alone are our salvation and our deliverance. You have borne the curse for us and made us sons, and You have the power to deliver from the mouth of the lion and from every evil work. We ask You to silence the voice of the devil, to halt his plans, to bind his power over this life, and to keep this soul from every sin and every influence that would lead away from You. Grant strength to resist, to hold fast the gift You have given, and to walk in a life adorned with good and worthy of Your calling. Keep this one in Your truth and in Your peace until the day when every work of the enemy is brought to a final end. In Jesus name, amen.
