We have heard your request and we are joining you in prayer for your mother, for your brother, and for your whole family in this difficult and worrying time.

We pray that God in His mercy would bring healing and strength to your mother. We ask Him to restore strength to her muscles and legs, to help her to eat and to regain health, to clear her mind and speech, and to lift whatever affliction has come upon her. We pray for wisdom and discernment for her doctors, that they would see clearly what is affecting her and give her the right care, and that the medicines she takes would not harm her but only help her if it is His will. We ask the Lord to guide you to good and trustworthy doctors who will listen carefully and seek her true good.

We also lift up your brother who is caring for her far away. We pray that God would give him strength, rest, and peace as he carries this heavy responsibility, and that He would give him a willing heart to receive help and to work together with the rest of the family. We pray that God would bring unity, open communication, and love among you all, so that you can support one another and make wise decisions together for your mother’s care.

We know how painful it is to see a strong and active loved one change so quickly, and to feel far away and unable to do more. Even when answers are slow to come and treatments do not seem to help at once, we trust that God hears every prayer and is present with those who suffer. He is the great physician who cares for both body and soul, and He can work through doctors, through family, and through His own comforting presence.

May the Lord grant you peace as you wait on Him, courage to keep seeking the best help for your mother, and faith to trust Him with the years He has given her. We pray all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, who alone is our hope and our healer. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this burden about your mother and your family. It is painful to watch someone who has always been active and strong minded change so rapidly, and to feel far away and unable to help as you would like. God sees the honor you want to show to your mother and the love that moves you to seek help for her. Scripture commands us to honor our father and mother, and when there is a break in fellowship or understanding within a family it brings a deep heartache to everyone. Your desire to come together and care for her as a family is right and good, for the care of a loved one should be a cooperative effort.

We have prayed for your mother and for all of you. We asked the Lord to touch her body and bring clarity where there is confusion, to restore strength to her weak muscles, to give her appetite and desire for nourishment, and to lift whatever is causing these debilitating episodes, whether it is migraines or something else that has not yet been discerned. We prayed for wisdom and discernment for doctors, that they would look carefully at her symptoms and at the medicines she is taking and give wise counsel that is safe for her age and condition. God is able to heal today. In the Gospels Jesus healed fever, leprosy, paralysis and many other afflictions, and He showed His authority over sickness and distress. Healing was not a show but a merciful work of His power, and He still hears those who come to Him in faith.

Prayer itself is a place of great strength. You do not need to go through any other mediator to reach Him. You can come directly to Jesus Christ, who invites you to bring your mother to Him and not to leave until you have received His mercy and help. The Lord is the strength of His people and He blesses His people with peace. We asked Him to be your mother's strength and yours, to guard your hearts from fear, and to give you His peace as you wait on Him and walk through these decisions.

We also prayed for your brother who is carrying the daily weight of care and who feels overwhelmed. We asked God to give him strength, rest, and a willingness to let the family help and to seek another medical opinion if needed. We prayed that God would knit your family together in love, understanding and humble communication, so that you can support one another and make wise choices together for your mother's good. May the Lord guide each step, provide the right helpers and doctors, and restore your mother as it pleases Him according to His perfect will. We will continue to bring her and all of you before the Lord in Jesus name.
