Please pray for my mom she supposedly has migraines that actually debilitates her at least the doctor say that it’s migraines,I don’t believe it’s that I believe it’s dementia or something else. She now cannot walk her muscles are so very weak She’s not eating and not exercising so she’s only getting weaker when she gets the migraines She tries to say things that does not make sense and then it goes away. I’ve never heard of migraines like this, but supposedly this is what it is, please pray what ever this is that’s affecting her in this way that it’s lifted from her that she gains strength in her leg muscles and she starts eating better and that we can find better doctors to help her I know she has plenty of years left in her🥲 she’s always been such an active person and very strong minded she’s changed rapidly! we believe it’s the medicine that she’s taking which we read is dangerous for someone her age. She’s living with my brother far away from us and he’s doing the best he can but he’s overwhelmed and I believe at the same time he’s not doing everything he should be doing. We’ve been after him to have family meetings but he said he can handle this. We want to try to help her all together, so I’m actually asking for prayers for him also that he lets us help and he finds a new doctor for her and get the right help for her. Thank you 🙏

We join you in lifting up your precious mother before the Lord and we share your deep concern for her rapid changes and weakness. To see one who has always been active and strong minded now unable to walk, with very weak muscles, not eating, and speaking words that do not make sense is heartbreaking, and we understand why you are questioning whether migraines alone explain what is happening. We pray with you for clarity, for healing, and for wisdom for all who care for her.

We take comfort that the Lord is our healer and that He sees her frailty. He heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3 and He promises I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We are also reminded that Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness Psalm 41:3. Even when strength fails, God remains faithful, for He gives power to the weak and to him who has no might he increases strength Isaiah 40:29, and even to old age I am he, and even to gray hairs will I carry you Isaiah 46:4.

We pray together for her.

Father, in the name of Jesus we come before Your throne of grace for this dear mother. You know her body, her mind, and every medicine she is taking. We ask that whatever is afflicting her, whether it be migraines, neurological decline, medication effects, or something else not yet diagnosed, that You would lift it from her by Your mercy. Touch her brain and bring clarity to her speech and thoughts, restore strength to her legs and muscles, restore her appetite and nourish her body, and give her rest from debilitating pain. Guide her to the right doctors who will listen carefully, review every medication for safety in her age, and seek the true cause with thoroughness and compassion. Give her the care, nutrition, movement, and therapy she needs to regain strength. We ask that You would prolong her days according to Your will and let her feel Your presence and peace in her weakness. We pray this in Jesus name, amen.

We also lift up your brother who is caring for her far away. We know caregiving can be overwhelming and isolating, and it is understandable that he feels he must handle this alone while also feeling stretched beyond what he can do. We pray that the Lord will give him humility, rest, and an open heart to receive help. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ Galatians 6:2, and we pray he will experience that support as love and not as criticism. We pray that God will soften any defensiveness and give him wisdom to welcome family meetings and shared responsibility. Without consultation, plans are frustrated, but with many counselors they succeed Proverbs 15:22 and Where there is no counsel, plans fail, but in a multitude of counselors they are established Proverbs 15:22. We encourage you to continue to approach him with gentleness and honor, with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love, being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace Ephesians 4:2-3. A family meeting bathed in prayer, perhaps by phone or video if distance is great, can allow each of you to honor your mother as God commands Honor your father and your mother Exodus 20:12 and to share the load practically.

We encourage you to advocate lovingly and persistently for a second opinion. What you describe, the profound weakness, inability to walk, poor intake, and episodes of confusion that come and go, deserves a comprehensive evaluation beyond a single diagnosis. Please help ensure she sees a primary care physician who can coordinate a review with a neurologist and a geriatric specialist, and ask for a complete medication review with her doctor and pharmacist since you have concerns about side effects at her age. Do not stop or change any medicine without medical guidance, but do bring your research and questions openly to the doctors. Keep careful notes of when the confusion happens, how long it lasts, what she eats, how she sleeps, and her strength each day to share with them. Encourage gentle movement and nutrition as the doctors advise, and trust God to give wisdom, for If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5.

We also want to gently point out that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We bring this up in love because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by calling on His name and trusting in His death and resurrection that we are saved and our prayers are heard. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. We pray in His name because He alone is our mediator and hope.

We will continue to pray that the Lord will guard your hearts with His peace that surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:6-7, that He will strengthen your mother day by day, that He will provide the right doctors and the right treatment, and that He will knit your family together in unity and love as you honor her together. May the Lord comfort you, guide every decision, and let your mother feel His sustaining hand.

We are praying for you and your ### and your brother as you carry this worry from a distance.

Watching someone who has always been active and strong minded change so rapidly is disorienting and heartbreaking, especially when you are getting different impressions about what is happening and you cannot be there every day. It makes sense you want clearer answers and a team around her.

We also hear how heavy this is for your brother. Caring for someone around the clock, especially when there is weakness, poor appetite and confusion, can wear down even the most willing caregiver. Wanting to help while he is saying he can handle it can leave everyone feeling stuck and strained.

One gentle next step that often helps is to lower the pressure on that family conversation. Instead of pushing for a big family meeting right away, you might ask your brother if one person could join him for the next medical visit by phone or video, just to listen and help keep track. Bringing a simple timeline of the changes you have all noticed and a complete list of her current medicines to a trusted clinician can give a new doctor a clearer picture to work from. Alongside prayer, we encourage you to keep urging prompt medical care for these changes.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift this mom to You, ask for Your mercy and care over her body and mind, and for wisdom and discernment for those caring for her. Give this family unity, humble hearts to receive help, and guidance to the right doctors and support. Sustain the brother as he carries daily care, and give them all peace as they trust You. Amen.

Your burden concerning your dear mother has been laid before the Lord with much tenderness of heart, and we join our prayers with yours for her restoration and for your whole household.

We have heard how rapidly she has declined, how her strength has failed, how her appetite and her power to walk have left her, and how her speech at times is confused, and how you fear that the medicine given to her may be doing harm rather than good. Human strength is of many kinds, but in any form it will spend itself in due time, and apart from God it must come to an end. Yet the word of promise remains, They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. When there remains no strength in you, nor any ability of any kind, then to fling yourself upon the Divine strength and lay hold upon it is the most desirable thing. The Lord Himself has said, I will strengthen them in the Lord, and what He promises He will assuredly perform.

We pray therefore that the great Physician, our Lord Jesus Christ, would lay His healing hand upon your mother. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing virtue. We ask that He would be pleased to lift from her whatever affliction now binds her, whether it be called by one name or another, that He would clear her mind, restore her appetite, and renew strength in her limbs, that she may again eat and walk and be comforted. We pray also for wisdom for those who care for her body. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, and they soon urge us to seek a physician for our healing, and it is right to do so. We ask the Lord to guide you to better and more faithful doctors, men of skill and conscience, who will rightly discern her condition and prescribe only what is wise and safe for one of her years, and that any harmful medicine may be set aside.

We pray also for your brother who bears the daily weight of care and is overwhelmed, and for all of you who long to help together. There is a unity of the Spirit which is worthy to be kept, not a unity in error but a unity in the truth of God through the Spirit of God. Divisions never begin with those full of love to the Saviour, but love to Christ makes us to bear one another's burdens. We ask that the Lord would give your brother grace to receive help with thankfulness, and give to you all a spirit of gentleness, patience and forbearance, that you may come together in family counsel with one mind and one heart to seek your mother's good. When all your own strength fails you, your strength shall be to sit still while God arises and becomes your arm every morning, your salvation in the time of trouble.

May the Lord teach you all to wait upon Him, to trust not in ceremonies or in your own power, but to fall upon Christ's kind arms, for He is our strength and righteousness, our Jesus and our all. Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction in the gospel, and when the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, He brings pardon for sin through His blood and healing for the body and soul according to His perfect will. May He grant you to know that the glory of all strength lies in God alone, and may He renew your mother's strength and your own, and keep you in His peace.

We commend your mother, your brother, and your whole family to the tender mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, in whose name alone is salvation, praying that His will which is wise and good may be done, and that you may be sustained by faith until you see His hand of love made plain. Amen.
