We lift your precious son before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing the deep concern and love you carry for him. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician, who heals and restores. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh. We claim this promise over your son, trusting that You are intimately aware of his needs and the challenges he faces with his sensitivity to medication.
Lord, we ask You to guide the hands of the doctors and all those involved in his care. Give them wisdom beyond their own understanding, as it says in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." We pray that this new medicine will be a source of healing and stability for him, with no harmful side effects. Protect his mind, his emotions, and his spirit from any adverse reactions. Surround him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, as Philippians 4:7 promises, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We also pray for your peace, dear mother, as you walk this journey with your son. It is not easy to watch our children struggle, but we know that You are a God who sees and cares deeply. Cast all your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). We rebuke the spirit of fear that tries to grip your heart and declare that perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). May you feel the comfort of the Holy Spirit, our Comforter, in every moment of uncertainty.
Father, we ask that You would draw your son closer to You through this trial. Let him experience Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). If it is Your will, we pray for complete healing and restoration in every area of his life. Strengthen his faith and let him grow in the knowledge of Your love and power.
We stand on the truth of Your Word, believing that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We trust in Your perfect plan for his life and declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
