My son returned

Please God help me to fix the problem and let my son to call or message me and only guide him by putting in his way only the good people and took away from him or his side any sorrow and stress. Amen

We rejoice with you in the return of your son, for the Lord is near to those who call on Him in truth. It is written in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We lift your heart to the Father, asking Him to mend what is broken and restore what has been lost.

Father God, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for bringing this precious son back into his mother’s life. We ask that You soften his heart to reach out to her, to call or message her in love and humility. Let no pride or past hurt stand between them, but let Your peace reign in their relationship. Guide him, Lord, with Your gentle hand, placing godly people in his path, those who will speak truth, encourage righteousness, and reflect Your love. Remove from him every source of sorrow and stress, replacing them with Your joy and peace that surpasses all understanding.

We also pray for wisdom for this mother, that she may extend grace and patience as You work in her son’s life. Help her to trust in Your timing and to speak life into his circumstances, just as Proverbs 25:11 says, "A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver." May their relationship be rebuilt on the foundation of Your Word, with love, respect, and mutual edification.

Lord, if there are any ungodly influences or unrepentant sin in this young man’s life, we ask that You convict him by Your Holy Spirit. Let him turn away from anything that displeases You and walk in the light of Your truth. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to the Father. Without Him, our prayers are in vain, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May Your will be done in this family, and may Your glory be revealed in their lives. Amen.

We can only imagine how heavy the waiting feels right now. When a son returns but hesitates to reach out, a parent’s heart can ache with questions and a desire to somehow fix whatever went wrong. We are praying with you that God will guide your son toward good companions and steady his heart, and that the silence will give way to a real conversation.

Sometimes the most helpful thing we can offer in this tender space is a low-pressure opening. A short, warm message, maybe just a line or two that says you’re thinking of him and your door is always open, can become a quiet invitation without the weight of unresolved hurts. It lets him know he’s loved without being pushed. Then, when he does respond, try to listen for the feelings beneath his words; often a casual comment carries a deeper worry he’s not yet naming. That kind of gentle presence can rebuild trust a little at a time.

And while you wait, it’s okay to simply place him in God’s hands daily, not with frantic pleas but with the steady confidence that Jesus sees the full picture and is already at work in ways you cannot see. Your love is a gift, and your prayers are not wasted.

Let’s pray together:

Lord Jesus, you know the ache behind this mother’s words. Please watch over her son. Surround him with people who will lead him toward what is good, and lift the sorrow and stress that weigh him down. Soften whatever stands between them, and in your perfect time, open the way for a call, a message, a fresh beginning. Give this mother your peace that steadies her heart and the wisdom to know when to speak and when to wait. We ask all this in your name. Amen.

The cry of a parent’s heart is never unheard in the courts of Heaven, for He who fashioned the ear hears the sighs of the burdened. You plead for your son’s return, for good companions to surround him, and for sorrow and stress to be taken away. Seek first that peace which Christ alone bestows, peace, perfect peace, not because the storm has ceased, but because your mind is stayed on Him, trusting in the God who cannot lie. Look upon the prodigal’s father: when the wanderer came home, he was as if he had never gone away, so complete is divine restoration.

And remember Peter: his fall was dreadful, but one look from the Lord Jesus, and the prayer He had already breathed for him, brought swift and full recovery. That same living Christ intercedes still; His blood whispers peace within, and God the Father forgets the sins for which that blood was shed. Let not your hope rest upon a message or a change of circumstances, but upon Him who is our peace, the Son of God slain for sinners. He will guide your son by principles infused, and in due time, if he be a child of promise, he shall be restored, as surely as the shepherd finds the sheep.

In the meanwhile, wait with submission, avoid haste, and let your tears be those irresistible weapons of weakness, crying, “Hold not Your peace at my tears.” I pray you find that unruffled calm which flows from the Father, purchased by the Son, and wrought by the Spirit, and which no thief of hell can steal. Leave your boy in those nail-pierced hands; plead the blood, and then believe that the Lord has endless, boundless peace for you both. Trust Him who lives and was dead, and behold, He ever loveth to restore.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this parent's heart before You. Lord, we ask that You would fix the problem and restore connection—let her son reach out and call or message her.

Guide him, Lord, and place only good people in his path. Remove from him and from his side every sorrow, stress, and burden. Surround him with Your peace and protection.

We stand on Your Word: *"The Lord watches over you; he is your shade at your right hand"* (Psalm 121:5). And we claim: *"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7). We also hold onto: *"I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them"* (Isaiah 42:16).

We trust You to work in this situation and bring restoration. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask God to put only good people in your son’s path and to take away every sorrow and stress. But beware of asking for a peace that has no root in heaven. For concord is not in every case a good thing, since even robbers agree together. The true peace that surpasses all understanding is not the absence of trouble but reconciliation with God through the blood of His cross. If you desire your son’s welfare, pray first that his sins be purged, for He who by Himself purged our sins has sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, this is the greatest proof of His care.

Do not think that a life without pain is a sign of God’s blessing. Often He permits sorrow and stress as a physician cuts away an incurable part, that the soul may be saved. When the diseased is cut off, when the mutinous is removed, then it is possible for heaven to be united to earth. Entreat the Lord to grant your son not merely good companions, but the fear of God; not a smooth road, but a heart turned toward the Father who reconciles all things to Himself through the Cross. And you yourself must be at peace. The more your son may war against you, the greater your reward if you remember no evil. For with the haters of peace we are called to be peaceful, and nothing so much delights God as to forget wrongs.

So cease striving to arrange his outward circumstances, and cast yourself upon the will of Him who said, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you.” This is the Mother of all good things; this is the foundation of joy. Seek it first, and then, whether your son calls or not, you will find that earth has become heaven, because your own heart is at rest in the Son who made peace through the blood of His cross.

Your love for your son comes through so clearly. It echoes the deep, protective love we see when Abraham was asked to take his only son, the one he loved, and lay everything on the altar. You would do anything to shield him from sorrow and surround him with good influences, just as any parent desperately wants to fix what is broken. But the most profound picture of love is that our heavenly Father did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all. His heart for your son is far greater than your own.

If you want the problem truly fixed, it will be found in the Son of God. The testimony God has given is this: eternal life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. Your son’s deepest need isn’t simply a change of circumstances or the right companions, it’s to know the life, peace, and righteousness that are only in Jesus Christ.

You asked God to take away every sorrow and stress from his side. I understand that longing, but we must remember that peace cannot be superficial. There is no real peace as long as there is unaddressed sin, just as the question was once asked, “What peace, so long as the whoredoms and sorceries of Jezebel are so many?” Lasting peace begins with peace with God through grace. When your son hears the instruction of truth and embraces the Son, then the peace of God can guard his heart and mind. Pray first that he would humble himself under that instruction, for “My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord.”

As you wait and pray, do not forget that you yourself can know the peace that Jesus gives: “My peace I give to you… not as the world gives.” Entrust your son to the One who gave His only begotten Son. He who did that for you will surely handle this. And one day, you may see the spirit of adoption at work, bringing a restored son into the Father’s house, not merely as a returning child, but as a joint heir with Christ. That is the hope we fix our eyes on.
