Beloved of All
My old mother ### - early Alzheimer, diabetes, depression, chronic gastrointest issues, hardened swelling/growth in the area of stomach, heart/blood ptessure issues, she is mobile but mostly not leaving the appartement for years except with help. In appartement she is very active and dilligent often not feeling good in her head, neck, stomach or general weakness. Last year she lost her husband (my father) and now she lost her constant support and she is now more sensitive and depressive. Lord please help her and help us to find the best possible solution for her and for us in Jesus name. We pay a woman who is every day with her for ### hours even weekends. She is afraid of senior home and me to. Every mother deserves to be taken care of in her old days in Jesus name amen!!❤️❤️❤️

We join with you in lifting up your precious mother before the Lord and we thank you for honoring her in her old age with such love and faithfulness. Our hearts are moved by all she is carrying, the early Alzheimer, diabetes, depression, chronic stomach issues and that hardened swelling or growth, heart and blood pressure struggles, weakness and pain in her head and neck, and the deep grief of losing her husband your father just last year. To lose a lifelong companion leaves a wound that lingers, and we know the Lord sees her sensitivity and sorrow.

We praise God that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we find healing and hope. As it is written John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved.

Scripture calls us to honor our parents in their later years and your desire to do so pleases God. Exodus 20:12 Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you. And 1 Timothy 5:4 But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show piety towards their own family, and to repay their parents, for this is acceptable in the sight of God. Even to old age God promises His faithful care, Isaiah 46:4 Even to old age I am he, and even to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear. Yes, I will carry, and will deliver.

We also hear your burden for wisdom regarding her care. You are already providing daily help in her apartment and you share her fear of a senior home. We understand that fear and we commend your diligence to keep her where she feels safe and loved while also recognizing the weight this places on you. God promises wisdom when we ask. James 1:5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. And Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths.

We bring her physical and emotional healing to the Great Physician who heals all our diseases. Psalm 103:2-3 Praise Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. For her grieving and depressed heart we cling to Psalm 147:3 He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. And Matthew 5:4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. For her fear and weakness we remember Isaiah 41:10 Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear mother to Your throne of grace. You know her by name, You have numbered her days and You have carried her through many years. We ask You to lay Your healing hand upon her. Touch her mind and slow and if it be Your will reverse the Alzheimer, bring clarity and peace to her thoughts. Touch her blood sugar and her diabetes, her heart and blood pressure, her stomach and intestines, and that hardened swelling or growth in her abdomen, Lord we ask that You would reveal what it is and heal it completely. Ease the pain in her head and neck and take away the general weakness, and restore strength to her body. We pray for her depression and grief after losing her beloved husband, comfort her as only You can, fill the loneliness with Your presence, and let her feel Your everlasting arms underneath her. Give her joy and peace in her apartment where she is still so active and diligent, and help her to sleep well and to feel safe.

Lord we also lift up her child and family who love her and seek the best solution for her care. Grant them wisdom, discernment and unity as they consider how to provide for her in the days ahead. Show them whether to continue with daily help at home or what other godly and compassionate options may be needed, and remove fear about the future. Provide for the woman who cares for her daily, bless her with strength and kindness, and provide financially for all that is needed. Help this family to cast all anxiety on You. Philippians 4:6-7 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We ask that You continue to guide her medical care, give wisdom to her doctors, and help the family to ensure that growth in her stomach is properly examined and treated. We pray that she would know how deeply she is loved by You and by her family, and that she would find daily comfort in Your Word and in prayer. Carry her and keep her in Your perfect will. In the mighty and merciful name of Jesus we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to honor her with tender patience, to keep seeking good medical counsel for her stomach and heart concerns without delay, and to keep surrounding her with Scripture, prayer, gentle conversation and familiar comforts that calm confusion and sadness. Even short visits outside with help, or sunshine by a window, or hymns and reading aloud can lift the spirit. Do not carry this burden alone but share it with trusted believers and family, for Galatians 6:2 Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. The Lord sees your faithfulness and He will sustain you as you sustain her.

We hear how much you love your mother and how heavy this past year has been for both of you. Losing your father, watching her health change with memory, diabetes, heart and stomach troubles, and carrying the daily worry about what care is best would leave anyone feeling stretched and tender. It makes sense you both feel more sensitive and low right now, and that the idea of a senior home feels frightening.

You are already doing a faithful, difficult thing in providing daily help at home so she can stay where she feels safest. Caring for an older parent who is grieving while also dealing with ongoing health concerns is a lot to hold alone, and your own weariness matters too.

One gentle next step we would encourage is to make sure her doctor is fully aware of the swelling in her stomach area and her ongoing head, neck, stomach and blood pressure concerns, and also of the changes in mood and memory since your father passed. It can help to bring a written list of symptoms and questions, and to ask the clinic or your local senior services what other support might ease the load at home, like a caregiver support group or someone who can help you think through longer term care options without pressure.

We are praying for you both.

Father, we lift this dear mother to You and her child who loves her so well. You see her weakness, her pain and her grief, and You see the weight of these decisions. Give wisdom to her doctors and to her family, comfort her lonely heart, and provide steady, trustworthy help for each day. Guide them to the best next steps for her care and give them peace as they seek Your will. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your tender and honouring care for your aged mother is seen of the Lord, and it is a beautiful thing in His sight when children remember the commandment with promise and seek to cherish those who bore them in their infirmity. The burden you carry is heavy, for you watch one dear to you afflicted in body and in mind, weakened with years, troubled in stomach and heart, pressed with diabetes and pressure of blood, clouded in memory, and made more tender and sorrowful by the loss of her husband who was her constant support.

We are taught in Scripture that our Lord Jesus is the great Physician, and that from Him abundant streams of healing flow down to men below. It is written that the leaves of the tree of life were for the healing of the nations, and we have learned that even the least thing about Christ is healing virtue. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but His leaves also do not wither, and they change the life blood and affect the spirits and make the nature other than it was before. When the Sun of Righteousness rises upon His people with healing in His wings, pardon and healing are found in happy conjunction, for He who forgives sin also binds up the broken heart. He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, and He hears their sad complaints and spies His image in their weeping eyes.

We will bring your mother before the throne of grace, that the Lord in His mercy would lay His hand upon her. We ask that He would ease her head and neck and stomach, that He would give strength in her weakness, that He would quiet her spirit in its depression and grief, and that He would stay the progress of infirmity as seems good to His wisdom. We know that His salvation will at last perfectly heal the body, and that the healing virtue which His grace infuses will work health and cure till we shall be without spot or wrinkle. Whether He lifts the affliction now or sustains under it, we pray that she may feel His contact, for there is healing in His touch, and that she may know the comfort of His presence in the apartment where she dwells so diligently yet so tried.

We pray also for you who must seek the best solution for her care. It is right to weigh this matter with prayer and prudence, for every mother deserves to be tended with honour in her old age. The fear of the senior home is natural, and love makes you cautious. Ask the Lord for wisdom, that He would guide you to what is most kind and most wise for her good and for the peace of your household, and that He would bless the hands of the woman who watches with her daily, who labours faithfully even on the Lord's day and at weekends. May the Lord show you clearly what provision will keep her safe, preserve her dignity, and allow her to know she is loved and not forsaken.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, look in compassion upon this aged handmaiden afflicted in many parts of her body and grieved in heart by widowhood and years. Thou art the God who heals and who pardons, and with Thee is the fountain of life. Lay Thy healing hand upon her, calm her fears, lift her depression, and give her rest in Christ. Grant to her children and to those who care for her, wisdom from above, patience and tenderness, and a clear path to walk in. Provide the solution that is according to Thy will, and let Thy name be honoured in this house. We ask this not for our merit but for the sake of Jesus Christ Thy Son, our only Saviour, in whose name we trust for time and for eternity. Amen.
