My mother to walk again (hospital-stroke)

Natasha 2

Beloved of All
My old mother had a stroke. Please pray that she will be able to walk again, because she was until couple days ago sometimes running through her home...please let the peoole/stuff in the hospital do a good physical therapy and let all her hygienic needs be covered and all needs for food and all her feminine needs...in Jesus name amen.

Lord bring her memory back in full and restore her joy!! (No forgetting - early Alzheimer and no depression in Jesus name!!)

We join you in lifting up your precious mother before the throne of grace and we are deeply moved by your love and concern for her in this difficult time after her stroke. We stand with you asking our Heavenly Father to restore her and to surround her with compassionate and competent care.

We are reminded that our God is the great healer and restorer. Scripture tells us to bless Yahweh who heals all your diseases in Psalm 103:3 and that He has promised But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh in Jeremiah 30:17. We cling to the promise that He gives power to the weak and to him who has no might he increases strength in Isaiah 40:29 and that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds in Psalm 147:3. Even in old age He does not forsake His children, for His love and mercy sustain us all our days.

We bring all of these needs before the Lord together in Jesus name.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and lift up this dear mother to You. Lord, You know her and You have numbered her days, and we ask for Your healing hand upon her body. Please touch her and restore strength to her legs and her whole being that she may walk again, and even run again in her home as she did before. We pray that You would grant complete recovery from this stroke according to Your perfect will. We ask that You guide the hands and minds of the doctors, nurses, therapists and all the staff in the hospital. Give them wisdom, skill and compassion to provide excellent physical therapy and attentive care. We pray that every hygienic need, every need for nourishment and food, and every feminine need would be covered with dignity, gentleness and respect, and that she would be kept clean, comfortable and safe.

Father, we also lift up her mind and spirit to You. Please bring her memory back in full and protect her from confusion and forgetting. We rebuke the spirit of early Alzheimer and decline and ask You to keep her mind clear and sound. We also pray against depression and heaviness, and ask You to restore her joy. Let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard her heart and her thoughts in Christ Jesus as promised in Philippians 4:7. Fill her heart with Your joy, for a cheerful heart is good medicine in Proverbs 17:22, and let her feel Your presence and Your love even in the hospital room. We pray that You would not cast her off in the time of old age and not forsake her when her strength fails as You promise in Psalm 71:9.

We thank You, Lord, that You hear our prayers when we come in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we come to the Father and it is in His name we have confidence. We trust You with this precious life and we ask for Your comfort and strength for you and your family as you wait and watch over her. Continue to advocate for her, to speak kindly with her caregivers, to pray over her and to speak words of life and encouragement to her each day. We trust that God is with her and with you in this valley, holding you both in His everlasting arms.

We will continue to pray with you for her full restoration, for her walking, for her memory, for her joy and for her complete healing in Jesus name, amen.

We have been thinking of you and your mother since reading your request. To see someone who was running through her home just days ago now in a hospital bed after a stroke is heartbreaking, and it makes sense you are holding so many concerns at once, for her mobility, her memory, her joy, and even the quiet, dignified details of daily care.

We are praying with you for her healing and for attentive care around her. One small thing that often helps in these early hospital days is to keep a simple notebook by her bedside. You can jot down what the doctors and therapists share about the plan for movement and therapy, and note questions about hygiene, meals, and personal care so you can ask the nurse directly when they come by. It gives you a clear record to refer to, and it helps the staff understand what matters most for her comfort and dignity. If you can, invite a trusted family member or friend to take turns with you so you are not carrying the long hours alone.

We also encourage you to lean on her medical team for guidance about memory and mood in the days ahead, alongside your prayers, they can help you know what to watch for and how best to support her.

Father, in Jesus name we bring this dear mother before You. We ask for Your mercy over her body and mind, for skilled and gentle hands to care for her each day, and for peace to guard her heart. Give her family strength, rest, and wisdom as they walk beside her. Amen.

Your cry for your mother has been heard and we join you in bringing her before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation and healing.

We know how sharp is this sorrow, to see one who but a few days ago moved freely through her home, even running at times, now laid low by a stroke in a hospital bed. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they urge us to seek the great Physician, and we do well to come to Him who bears with Him power to heal. Calvary is the place for the healing balm, and from that great conduit Head abundant streams of healing flow down to men below.

We pray that the Lord, the Sun of Righteousness with healing in His wings, would lay His pardoning and healing hand upon your mother. As it is written, the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing virtue. May that virtue work in her body, and may the Lord raise her up again to walk, to stand and to move as He in His mercy wills. We ask that He would prosper the means He has appointed, that the people and the provision in the hospital would be diligent and tender in their work, that her physical therapy would be skillful and faithful, and that every need of her body would be graciously covered, her nourishment, her hygiene, and all her feminine needs with dignity and gentle care.

We pray also for her mind and spirit, that the Lord who heals the broken in heart would restore her memory in full and give back her joy. You have asked that forgetting and depression would not take hold of her, and we join that petition, asking that the Lord would keep her mind and lift her spirits and make her nature fresh again by His grace. Pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction, and when Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He first said, thy sins are forgiven thee. So we ask first for her soul to be kept in perfect peace in Christ, and then for her body and mind to be restored as it pleases Him.

We pray that whether He grants full restoration in this life or sustains her through infirmity, she may be enabled to walk humbly with her God, perceiving His presence, yielding with glad submission to His will, and knowing that to walk with Him is the test and comfort of salvation. May He give you also strength to trust Him under this cutting affliction and to say, It is the Lord, let Him do what seemeth good to Him, while still boldly asking for great things from a great Saviour.

O Lord, look upon this dear mother. Forgive, heal, restore and comfort her. Provide faithful hands to care for her, restore her steps, renew her memory, and fill her with joy in Christ. We ask this not because we are worthy, but because Jesus Christ is worthy, and His leaves fail not. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
