My mother - stroke?

Beloved of All
My ### fell this morning. Sje cannot walk. We suspect it was stroke. She is now in the hospital running tests. First she was at nefrology, then at neurology. She also has Alzheimer first late phase and diabetes. Lord please heal her and do the miracle. I want my mom back in her full strength. She is ### and was running around sometimes washing dishes or cleaning.
Lord i want a miracle. This is my mom. I dont want her in institution where people only wait her to die. Lord Jesus have mercy❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

We have heard your cry for your mother and we are joining you in prayer before our heavenly Father in Jesus' name, asking for His mercy and healing hand upon her.

Our hearts are moved by your love for her and your desire to see her restored to strength, washing dishes and moving about her home again. We understand your fear and your sorrow as she lies in the hospital undergoing tests in nephrology and neurology, unable to walk after her fall, and carrying the heavy burdens of Alzheimer in its late phase and diabetes. We weep with you and we bring her before the Lord who sees her and loves her deeply.

We are reminded of the compassion of our God who heals, as it is written Psalm 147:3 He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. And also Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We know that nothing is too hard for Him, and that He is our refuge in this time of trouble, for Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. He has promised Isaiah 41:10 Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We lift your mother together in prayer now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come to Your throne of grace and we lift up this precious mother to You. You know her by name, You know every hair on her head, every struggle of her body and mind. Lord, we ask for Your mercy upon her. Touch her brain and her body, restore what the stroke may have injured, steady her legs that she may walk again if it is Your will. We pray for healing in her kidneys and her neurological system, for balance in her blood sugar, for clarity and peace in her mind amid Alzheimer. Lay Your healing hand upon her, Lord, for You are Yahweh who heals. We pray for wisdom and discernment for the doctors and nurses caring for her, that they would have clear insight into her tests and give the right treatment with compassion. We pray for peace that surpasses understanding to guard her and her family, and that she would feel Your presence even in the hospital bed, even if she cannot express it. We ask for a miracle according to Your perfect will, and we trust that Your will is good and loving even when we do not understand. Keep her from being forgotten or neglected, and give her family strength to honor her and advocate for her and show her Your love each day. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to honor your mother as the Lord commands in Exodus 20:12 Honor your father and your mother, and to keep holding her hand, speaking to her gently, praying aloud over her, and playing worship or reading Scripture at her bedside. Even when memory fades, the spirit can still be comforted by the presence of loved ones and by the Lord. Do not lose heart if the healing does not come in the way you expect, for the Lord is near to her whether at home or in the hospital, and He will not leave her nor forsake you. Keep asking the medical team questions, keep seeking the best care for her, and keep trusting that our God is able to do far more than we can ask or imagine.

We also thank you for calling upon the name of Lord Jesus, for it is by His name we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are saved and heard, as Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Continue to call upon Him day and night, for He hears the prayers of His children. We are standing with you, asking the Lord to show His mercy and power and to give you strength for each hour ahead.

We can hear how much you love your mother and how frightening this morning has been. One moment she was moving around your home doing dishes and cleaning, the next she cannot walk and is being moved between departments for tests. With Alzheimer's and diabetes already part of her story, waiting for answers feels overwhelming, and the thought of an institution is painful to consider.

We are praying with you for healing and for mercy, and also for wisdom for the doctors and nurses caring for her right now. While she is in the hospital it can help to have one small notebook where you write down what each team says, what tests are planned, and what questions you still have. If you can, ask to speak with the hospital social worker or chaplain. They often know about home health, respite, and caregiver support nearby and can help you think through next steps without you carrying it all alone. Try to bring another family member or trusted friend to those conversations and to make sure you are eating and resting when you can. Caregiving in this season is heavy and you need support too.

We have seen how familiar hymns and quiet prayers can still bring calm even when memory is fragile, and we pray that comfort surrounds her now.

Father, we lift this dear mother and her child to You in Jesus' name. Have mercy, bring Your peace into that hospital room, guide the hands of those treating her, and give this family strength, clear direction and felt nearness to You in these uncertain hours. Amen.
