Disciple of Prayer
Goodevening, I am thankful for Gods Word grace mercy and love. I am interceding in prayer for my husband ### prayer Ezekiel 36:26 for a spiritual transplant in his heart and prayer for reconciliation and remarriage. We have talk for the last month however he seems to have unhealthy influence from family surrounding him. I am ask you all to pray with and for him for a spiritual awakening and conversion in Jesus name Amen

We rejoice with you in thanksgiving for God's Word and for His grace and mercy and love that sustain us even in seasons of separation and longing. We hear your heart for your husband and we stand with you in intercession for him, agreeing together for the very work you have prayed from Ezekiel 36:26 where the Lord says I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. Only God can do this spiritual transplant, and we believe He is able to awaken and convert a heart that has grown hard or cold.

We affirm your desire for reconciliation and remarriage, for we believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman as God designed it. What therefore God has joined together, don't let man tear apart, Matthew 19:6. The Lord has said For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel, Malachi 2:16, and His heart is for healing and restoration where sin and brokenness have caused division. The apostle teaches in 1 Corinthians 7:10-11 that to the married the Lord commands that the wife not leave her husband, but if she departs, let her remain unmarried, or else be reconciled to her husband, and that the husband not leave his wife. Your willingness to remain faithful and to pray for restoration rather than pursuing another relationship honors God and reflects His covenant love.

We also understand your concern about unhealthy influence from family surrounding him. Scripture teaches in Genesis 2:24 that Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh. While we are to honor our parents, a husband is called to cleave to his wife and a marriage is to be established as its own covenant household under God. When family voices pull a man away from truth or from his covenant, it can harden his heart and confuse his steps. We pray that the Lord will give him discernment and courage to not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, Romans 12:2, and to seek first the counsel of God over the opinions of others.

We encourage you to continue in steadfast, gentle intercession. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective, James 5:16. Continue to walk in grace and truth before him, for Peter encourages wives in 1 Peter 3:1 that even if any don't obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word, seeing your chaste behavior coupled with reverence. Keep abiding in the Word, guarding your own heart in purity and hope, trusting the Lord's timing and not striving in your own strength to force what only God can do.

We pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we have access to You and no other name by which we can be saved, Acts 4:12. We thank You for Your steadfast love and for the power of Your Word. We lift up this husband to You and ask for a mighty spiritual awakening and true conversion in his heart. Give him a new heart and put a new spirit within him, take away his heart of stone and give him a heart of flesh that is tender toward You and toward his covenant wife. Draw him to repentance and to faith in Jesus, that he may become a new creation in Christ, 2 Corinthians 5:17.

Lord, we ask You to break every unhealthy influence and ungodly counsel that surrounds him. Silence voices that do not align with Your truth and surround him instead with godly counsel and with Your Holy Spirit's conviction. Teach him to leave and cleave as You have ordained, and to take responsibility as a man of God for his marriage. Where there has been hurt, pride, or confusion, bring healing, humility, and clarity.

We pray for reconciliation that would honor You, and if it is Your will, for remarriage that restores what has been broken and displays Your redeeming power. Make this marriage a testimony of Your grace, built on Christ as the foundation, filled with forgiveness, as You have forgiven us in Ephesians 4:32. Give this dear sister strength to wait on You, to keep her heart guarded in peace, and to trust that You are working even when she cannot see. Let Your perfect will be done in both of their lives, and let all glory be Yours.

We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We are thankful you shared this with us, and for your love for God's Word and your faithfulness in praying for your husband.

Hearing that you have been talking again this past month gives us a picture of both hope and tension. It is encouraging that communication has opened, and it is also painful to sense other voices influencing him when your deepest desire is for his heart to turn fully to Jesus and for your marriage to be restored. We are standing with you in that desire for his awakening and true conversion.

Reconciliation is a tender process that cannot be forced by one person alone, it requires both hearts willing to move toward God and toward each other. While you cannot control the influence of family around him, you can keep your own walk steady and your interactions with him calm and gracious. It may help to have one or two mature, trusted believers or a pastor who know you both to pray with you regularly and to give you wise, grounded counsel as you navigate these conversations. Continuing to pray as you are, and also guarding your own peace and daily time with the Lord, will sustain you for whatever next steps God opens.

Father, we lift this husband to You and ask for Your mercy and drawing work in his heart. Give him clarity to seek You for himself and wisdom to discern the voices around him. Comfort and strengthen our sister as she waits and prays, guide her words and guard her heart, and lead both of them according to Your will. In Jesus' name, Amen.

- Ezekiel 36:26 — "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you."
- 2 Corinthians 5:17 — "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"
- Proverbs 21:1 — "The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases."
- Mark 10:9 — "Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate."

May God soften this husband's heart, remove wrong influences, and restore this marriage in His perfect timing.

Your faithful intercession for your husband has been heard, and we join our prayers with yours before the throne of grace. We give thanks with you for the Word of God and for His grace, mercy and love which never fail, and we count it a holy privilege to bear this burden with you.

You have prayed Ezekiel 36:26 over him, that God would take away the stony heart and give a heart of flesh, and this is indeed the very miracle that is needed. Conversion is not a mere reformation of manners, but a new creation. As the Word teaches, it is by the Scriptures of Truth applied by the Spirit of God that men are made to see their error and are turned from sin to righteousness, from self to Christ. True conversion gives pardon without presumption, and it makes a man to live for God and before God. It is not a sham conversion which fears the Lord and yet serves other gods, nor a religion without atonement, but a thorough work wrought by the blood of the covenant. We will pray that the Lord, who alone can give this new heart, will do it for your husband, that the Word may come to him with power, and that the Holy Spirit will open his eyes to see Christ as the Lamb who alone can make peace between the soul and God. Even the most humble word, when the Spirit goes with it, may be the instrument of such a change, and family influence, however strong, is not stronger than sovereign grace.

You also seek reconciliation and remarriage, and we pray with you toward that end according to the holy design of marriage. Marriage as God ordained it is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, two becoming one flesh, and it is set forth in Scripture as a picture of Christ and His Church. He is a Husband unto His people, setting His special love upon them, faithful to them, communing with them most lovingly and providing for them. Where that covenant has been wounded, the gospel holds out the ministry and word of reconciliation, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them, and having prepared everything necessary for a perfect reconciliation. As you would tell a husband the sorrow of your heart, so you may tell your Lord, for you can tell a Husband what you could not tell a mere master. We pray that if it be the Lord's will, He will heal what is broken and knit together what has been torn, for His glory and for your good.

We do pray, then, for your husband, that the Lord will awaken him and bring him to true conversion through faith in Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we must be saved, and no marriage between the soul and Christ except through the Lamb. We pray that the unhealthy influences which surround him will lose their power as he hears the voice of the true Husband of souls, and that he will be kept watchful and made steadfast. We pray that the Lord will give you grace to continue in prayer and in the Word, speaking the word of reconciliation with love and patience, and trusting not in persuasion alone but in the Spirit who converts the soul.

May the Lord who found His people in a desert land and loved them as a bride, be pleased to visit your husband with a spiritual awakening, to give him a new heart and a new spirit, and to work reconciliation where there has been estrangement, all through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
