We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your friend who is preparing for surgery in just a few hours. Father God, we ask that You would surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Lord, we know that You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would guide the hands of the doctors, nurses, and every medical professional involved in this surgery. Grant them wisdom, skill, and discernment as they care for Your beloved child.
Heavenly Father, we pray for a successful surgery with no complications. We trust in Your sovereignty and ask that Your will be done in this situation. If it is Your will, Lord, we ask for a smooth procedure and a swift recovery. We also pray for strength and comfort for your friend and their loved ones as they wait and trust in You.
Lord, we rebuke any fear, anxiety, or doubt that may be present, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that Your perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18), and we choose to trust in You, knowing that You are in control.
We also want to take a moment to emphasize the importance of coming to You in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We are so grateful for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, and we pray that Your friend knows and trusts in Him as their Lord and Savior.
