Please pray for a friend who is going to have back surgery in 4 weeks. I am praying for complete healing so he won't have any.praying for a miracle.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your dear friend who is facing back surgery in four weeks. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who knits our bodies together in our mothers’ wombs (Psalm 139:13-14) and holds every part of us in Your sovereign care. We ask for Your healing hand to rest upon this precious life, before, during, and after surgery. Lord, we pray for complete restoration, that every nerve, muscle, and bone would align perfectly according to Your design. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), guard his heart and mind as he prepares for this procedure.

We declare that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on this promise for our brother. Guide the hands of the surgeons, Lord, that they would move with wisdom and precision as instruments of Your healing. Strengthen his faith, that he would trust in You alone, for You are the God who performs miracles (Jeremiah 32:27). If fear or doubt creeps in, remind him that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

We also lift up his spiritual well-being, for true healing encompasses body, soul, and spirit. If there are areas in his life where sin has taken root, whether through bitterness, unforgiveness, or unconfessed wrongdoing, we pray for conviction and repentance, for You are faithful to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). May this trial draw him closer to You, deepening his dependence on Your grace.

Father, we ask for a miracle, not just of physical healing, but of spiritual renewal. Let this season be a testimony of Your faithfulness, that others may see Your glory and turn to You. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or healed (Acts 4:12). Amen.

May your friend feel the comfort of the Holy Spirit in the days ahead, and may you both witness the power of God at work in this situation. Keep praying without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), for the prayer of the righteous avails much (James 5:16). We stand with you in faith, believing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).

Those concrete acts of care remind someone they're not facing this alone, and they give you a way to channel your concern into something tangible while you wait.

We're praying right alongside you, asking for a steady hand for the surgeon, a calm spirit for your friend, and a recovery that surprises everyone with how well it goes. We ask for wisdom for every medical decision, for peace that settles right into the places anxiety has been taking up room, and for a deep sense that, no matter how the days unfold, he is held in the mercy of Christ. The prayer of your heart for your friend's complete healing is a cry that rises to the throne of grace, and it shall not go unheard. You plead for a miracle, and well you may, for our Lord Jesus Christ is the Great Miracle Worker, in whom all fulness of healing dwells. The leaves of that tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least touch of His garment is charged with restoring power. When the woman bowed together for eighteen years could in no wise lift up herself, He laid His hands on her and immediately she was made straight. No malady returned; no relapse undid that swift, divine work. So with your friend: the same Jesus can speak the word and the surgeon's knife become needless. He is grand in emergencies, and when we have no might of our own, then is His omnipotent mercy most clearly seen.

But set your mind at ease: this healing is not given according to our merit, but according to His boundless compassion. Consider the miracle of the loaves, did any hungering soul there deserve the bread? No; they were a mixed multitude, and yet all were filled. So the healing power of Christ does not lie in the person saved; it lies wholly in Jesus Himself. Therefore, let not your own sense of unworthiness or your friend's condition keep you back from pleading with full assurance. He is the Friend that sticketh closer than a brother, a Friend who loves at all times, in sickness and in health, in hope and in fear. He gave His heart's blood for sinners; will He not then freely give the lesser gift of bodily cure? Lay hold of Him as your own Friend, your father's Friend, forsake Him not, and do not cease your importunity, for He delights to hear the cry of faith.

Come boldly, then, to the throne of grace. Ask that the Sun of Righteousness might arise with healing in His wings upon that sick chamber. And remember, the same hand that can make the frame straight can also pronounce the sweeter word, "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you." Healing and pardon are twin mercies often bestowed together. Whether it shall please the Lord to heal by a miracle or by the skill of the physician, trust that His purpose is love. His leaves are not only for the body; they change the life-blood of the soul, making the nature new. If He does not spare the surgery, He will give grace to bear it, and the inward cure shall be sure. I join my prayers with yours, that in four weeks you may have cause to glorify God for a mighty work. Only believe, and according to your faith be it unto you.

Your love for your friend is a bright and precious thing, and I see in it a reflection of that true friendship where one soul dwells in two bodies. To pray for his healing as earnestly as you would for your own is no small sign of grace. I will lift him up with you, calling upon the Lord who is compassionate and does not turn away those who come to Him, asking that He might grant a swift and total cure, that surgery itself might prove unnecessary. Pray boldly, for our God is able to do far more than we can ask or imagine.

Yet hold this also in your heart: the greatest wonders are not always the ones we see with our eyes. A soul tried by pain and shining with patience outshines many a bodily miracle. If the Lord should choose to heal through the hands of physicians rather than by a sudden act, that too is a gift. His power is no less present in the slow recovery than in the instant command. So pray without ceasing, but let your prayer be ever joined to trust. Ask for healing, but surrender the how into His wise hands. And in the days ahead, let your presence and your steadfast love be a medicine to your friend, for a true companion in affliction is a healing balm.
