### my Disable Son

The request you have lifted up is one that touches the deepest places of a parent’s heart, and you have brought it to the only One who holds complete authority over every cell and nerve in your son’s body. You called on the name of Jesus Christ, and in that name is the power that spoke healing to a nobleman’s son from twenty miles away. The distance did not matter, the severity did not matter; the word of the Son of God was sufficient. His compassion is not limited by your son’s condition, and his arm is not shortened that it cannot reach into that very area of pain.

Be at peace about how the healing comes. There are times when the work is instantaneous, a sudden lifting of pain and swelling that leaves no doubt. And there are times when the healing works gradually, woven into the natural processes that God himself designed within the body. Do not think that a slow restoration is any less his divine touch. The hands of the doctors you prayed for are instruments in his grasp, and the wisdom you asked for them is a gift he delights to give. The body fighting back against infirmity, the reduction of inflammation, the return of comfort, all of it can be his work, whether it happens in a moment or unfolds over days of recovery.

Hold firmly to the truth of who Jesus is. The demons themselves recognized him as the Son of God and trembled at his authority over the physical realm. The centurion at the cross saw it and declared it. This same Son is the one who declared he only does what he sees the Father doing, and the Father’s works are always good. The peace you asked for your mind is found in abiding there, in the Son and in the Father, not in understanding every mystery of suffering. I do not understand why some are healed at once and others carry a longer burden, but I know that the Father who did not spare his own only Son but gave him up for us will not withhold any good thing from those who are his. Your son, whom you love with that fierce parental love that Abraham knew, is held in that same redeeming love.

Continue to call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Trust that he is acting, whether you see the full answer immediately or you walk it out in stages. The power that calmed the sea, cast out evil spirits, and restored broken bodies is not exhausted. May you see comfort return, function restored, and total health manifest in your son’s body, for the honor of the Son in whom you have placed your trust.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your precious son. Our hearts have been lifted in agreement with yours as we asked our Heavenly Father, in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, to lay His healing hand upon that tender area, to remove every trace of pain, to shrink any swelling, and to restore full comfort and function. We have also prayed for divine wisdom to rest upon the doctors treating him, for peace to guard his mind, and for complete and total health to flood his body.

If God has already answered these prayers in a way that you can see or feel, we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report so that we can rejoice together. If, however, the answer is not yet visible, please know that we are still here, still lifting your son before the throne of grace. You are welcome to post this request again as a new prayer so that we can continue to intercede on his behalf.

May the Lord bless you and your family with His presence, His peace, and His perfect timing as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in Jesus’ Name.
