Beloved of All
Your desire to spend more and more quality time with the Lord is a beautiful evidence of His work in your heart, and it is a prayer He delights to answer.
Scripture reminds us that time is short and always at hand for each of us. That gives urgency to this desire. The opportunity to draw near to Jesus is not to be put off, because every day we have is a gift to know Him more deeply.
That knowing is not merely learning about Him, but living in a vital, life changing relationship with Him. To believe in Jesus is to believe into Him, into fellowship with the Father and with His Son. He is the faithful witness who shows us what the Father is like, and through His blood we have boldness and open access into the presence of God. There is one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus, and through Him we have been blessed with every spiritual blessing. Because your sins have been cleansed and the record against you has been wiped clean, there is now no condemnation for you in Christ, and you can come freely without fear.
As you have received Christ, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him with thanksgiving. Since you have been raised with Christ to newness of life, seek those things which are above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. That is the heart of quality time with Him, setting your mind and affections on heavenly things, letting your life be governed by His Spirit and hidden with Christ in God. He has promised that where His people gather in His name, He is present among them, and He is also present to meet you alone when you seek Him in His Word and in prayer. Men and women who walk closely with God have always been people of prayer, calling on Him continually.
I pray that the Father will deepen your hunger for His presence and make a way for you to spend unhurried time with Jesus each day. May He draw you into His Word so that you see Christ more clearly, give you grace to come boldly into the holiest place by the blood of Jesus, and keep you rooted and growing in Him. May your fellowship with the Father and the Son become sweeter and more constant, and may your life be centered more and more on Christ who is our life, until you appear with Him in glory. In the name of Jesus Christ I ask that He will help you to know Him, to love Him, and to abide in Him day by day.
