more quality time with Jesus Christ

We rejoice with you in this beautiful and godly desire to spend more quality time with our Lord Jesus Christ, for this is the very heart of what God calls us to. We join you in praying that the Heavenly Father will draw you ever closer into intimate fellowship with Him.

The Scripture reminds us that our first priority is to seek Him above all else, as Jesus said in Matthew 6:33, But seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. The Lord longs for us to draw near to Him with our whole heart, and He promises in James 4:8, Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. This quality time is not a duty but abiding, as Jesus taught in John 15:4, Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can't bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. When we remain in Him through prayer, through reading and meditating on His Word, and through stillness before Him, we bear fruit and our faith is strengthened.

We encourage you to set apart intentional, undistracted time each day to be with Him, even as Jesus Himself modeled for us in Mark 1:35, Early in the morning, while it was still dark, he rose up and went out, and departed into a deserted place, and prayed there. We also remember the call in Psalm 46:10, Be still, and know that I am God, and the psalmist's longing in Psalm 27:4, One thing I have asked of Yahweh, that I will seek after, that I may dwell in Yahweh's house all the days of my life, to see Yahweh's beauty, and to inquire in his temple. Let us guard that time from the distractions and busyness of this world, asking the Holy Spirit to help us hunger for His presence more than anything else.

We pray together for you now.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the hunger You have placed in this dear heart to spend more quality time with You. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You would help us all to prioritize You above all else. Draw us into deeper communion with You, teach us to be still before You, to hear Your voice through Your Word, and to pour out our hearts in prayer. Give us discipline to rise and seek You, wisdom to set aside time that is holy and undisturbed, and a growing love for Your presence. Fill this time with Your peace, Your guidance, and Your joy, and let us be transformed as we behold Your beauty. Keep us abiding in Christ, bearing fruit that honors You, and help us to love You with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We are so grateful for your desire to be closer to Jesus. That hunger itself is a gift, and we are praying with you that the Father would help you protect and enjoy more unhurried time with Him.

We have found it helps to think of this less as trying harder for a few days and more as training over time. Like preparing for a long run, small and steady practices shape us. A few quiet minutes most days does more than an occasional long stretch, and it is normal for growth to come gradually as we remain a work in progress.

If it would help this week, you might choose one simple, repeatable rhythm. Pick a consistent time and place where you are least rushed, perhaps ten to fifteen minutes in the morning or evening, and keep a Bible nearby. Begin with brief prayer, read a short passage slowly, and talk honestly with the Lord about what you read. If a day gets missed, just begin again the next day without guilt. Consistency matters more than length.

We are encouraged by your longing and we will keep praying for you to know Christ's nearness in these times.

Father, thank You for drawing this heart toward You. Give fresh desire and wisdom to make space for You, quiet distractions, and make these moments with Jesus life giving. Lead and keep us close to Him. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

What a blessed and heavenly desire the Lord has kindled in your heart, to spend more and more quality time with Jesus Christ Himself. This is the very essence of the Christian life, for our religion is not a mechanical observance but fellowship with its great Founder. To have Christ Himself occupy our thoughts, to look unto Jesus and to live by faith in Him, is better than all other pursuits.

Scripture reminds us that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever. He who sat in the temple hearing and asking questions, He who is anointed Prophet and Priest for His people, is the same today as He always was and will be the same tomorrow. Therefore you may come to Him with confidence that He waits to have communion with you.

There is a communion of faith and a communion of conversation. In prayer we talk to God, and when we pray with faith, Christ talks with us. He tells us of His love, of His shield of omnipotence, and of His grace. And there is a blessed feast which He spreads for His own. As He said to His disciples, Come and break your fast. Many a battle is lost because the soldier is not in good condition for the fight, and many a weary night of fruitless toil is spent while Jesus is away. But to sit silently at the feet of Jesus is of more worth than all the clatter of this world, and to sup with Him restores the soul.

Follow then the example of your Lord, who rose up a great while before day and went into a solitary place to pray. He put prayer first of all, and though He lived in the spirit of prayer, He must have His special time and place to pray. Give the Lord your first and best hours. Come to His Word not merely as a hearer outwardly, but to touch Him inwardly, that virtue may flow from Him to you. Come to Him as a sinner, as you came at the first, and He will not cast you out.

Let us pray together for you.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for this hunger for Jesus Christ Your Son. By Your grace, help our dear one to spend more and more quality time with You. Teach us to put You first, to rise and seek Your face, to walk with Christ in prayer and in the Word, and to know the sweetness of fellowship with Him. Draw this soul into deeper society with Jesus Christ our Lord, into living union and communion with Him, that Christ with us may be our guide and solace, and Christ in us our hope of glory. Keep us looking unto Jesus, abiding in Him, and finding our life hid with Christ in God. Grant stamina for service and rest for weariness as we break our fast with Jesus day by day. We ask this in the precious and unchanging name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our Captain, our strength and our victory. Amen.
