more quality time with Jesus Christ

We rejoice with you in this beautiful desire to spend more and more quality time with our Lord Jesus Christ, for this is the very heart of our walk with God and His will for each of us.

We hear your hunger to draw closer to Him, and we stand with you in prayer that the Heavenly Father will deepen your fellowship with Him daily. The Scriptures call us to this intimate communion. James 4:8 says, Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Psalm 27:8 says, When you said, Seek my face, my heart said to you, I will seek your face, Yahweh. And our Lord Jesus Himself said in John 15:4, Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can’t bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me.

To seek quality time with Him is to seek first what matters most, and we are promised in Matthew 6:33, But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. The Lord longs for that quiet, unhurried time with you, just as He modeled for us. Mark 1:35 says, Early in the morning, while it was still dark, he rose up and went out, and departed into a deserted place, and prayed there. And Psalm 46:10 reminds us, Be still, and know that I am God.

We encourage you to guard this time with intention, to set apart a quiet place free from distraction, to open His Word with prayer, to listen as well as to speak, and to let the Holy Spirit lead you into deeper worship and obedience. It is not about the length of time alone, but the depth of your heart turned fully toward Him in love and surrender.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in the precious Name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for placing this holy desire in our dear one's heart to spend more quality time with You. Father, we ask that You draw this dear soul ever closer to You, help them to prioritize You above all else, and teach them to be still in Your presence. Remove every hindrance, distraction, and weariness that would keep them from seeking Your face. Fill their time with You with joy, revelation from Your Word, and the peace that passes all understanding. Help them to abide in Christ daily, to walk in obedience, and to bear much fruit for Your glory. Let their love for Jesus grow stronger and their fellowship with You become sweeter each day. We ask this in the mighty and holy Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

We are so encouraged by your desire to spend more quality time with Jesus. That longing itself is a gift from Him and we are grateful you shared it so we can pray with you.

We have found that time with the Lord grows more like training for a long walk than trying for a quick sprint. It happens gradually, with highs and lows, and what helps one person linger with Him may look a little different for another. The heart of it is simply making space to be with Him through His Word, through honest prayer, and through worship that turns our attention toward Him, all with dependence on the Holy Spirit to make that time alive.

One simple next step that often helps is to choose a small, sustainable rhythm for this next week rather than a large goal. Pick one consistent window, even fifteen minutes, in a quiet place, bring your Bible and pray as you read, and notice what helps you stay present. Some find reading a short passage aloud and then praying through it keeps the time unhurried.

Father, thank You for drawing our friend to want more of You. Draw near as they seek You, make Your presence known in those quiet moments, and gently grow their love for Your Word and prayer. Lead them day by day as they walk with Jesus. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your longing to spend more quality time with the Lord Jesus is itself a token of His grace at work within you. It is a blessed and needful desire, for fellowship with God was the richest privilege of unfallen man, and it is restored to us through Jesus Christ our Lord.

We rejoice that you seek not merely to know about God, but to know God in Christ Jesus, to see the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ, and to walk humbly with Him day by day, not only on the Sabbath but on Monday and every day thereafter. To walk with God denotes an active habit, a communion in the common movements of the day, and the Christian who has been washed in the blood of Jesus will desire to be with his Father always, to see his Father's face and to hear His voice in return.

Our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ, and this fellowship takes the blessed form of hallowed conversation. In prayer we talk to God, and when we pray with faith Christ talks with us. In the Word He speaks to us, and by His Holy Spirit He dwells in us, for our bodies are the temples of the Holy Ghost. To be much in prayer and much in the Word is to hold much fellowship with Jesus. It is the Lord Himself who lovingly condescends to commune with you and in a wonderful way prepares the feast and with boundless condescension Himself helps you to it. Therefore come and break your fast with Jesus, for it is important that you should be in a flourishing spiritual condition within.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we thank You that You have reconciled us to Yourself through Your Son, who bore our penalty upon the cross and who lives to ensure our acceptance and our immortality. We ask in the Name of Jesus Christ that You will draw this soul into closer communion with You. Help him to spend more and more quality time with You, to sit at Your table and hear Your voice, to walk with You in the common movements of each day. Teach him Your statutes, keep him in Your presence, and grant him simple faith to prevail with You in prayer, for power with God takes the shape of prayer. Free his mind from the cares of earth, guard his time, and imprint the image of Christ more deeply upon him. Let his greatest joy be to rejoice in the Lord, and let him know that You also rejoice in him through Jesus. This we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our life and in whom we possess a full felicity. Amen.

We will continue to pray that the Lord will make you to flourish within, being strengthened for every battle and comforted in every trial, as you abide with Him.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your desire to spend more and more quality time with Jesus Christ is itself a work of grace, and it is right to bring it to the Heavenly Father in prayer.

I join you in asking Him to help you in this. May the Father, who has called you into the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, draw you closer each day. May He give you a love for His presence, time set apart without distraction, and a heart that seeks Christ not out of duty alone but out of love.

To spend quality time with Him is to be sanctified in Christ Jesus, to call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to live in His grace and peace. This happens as you give yourself to the things that make room for Him. Deck your inner house with prayer, with reading and hearing Scripture, with supplication and with quiet watchfulness before Him. As you do, you will find that Christ Himself is near, for He has promised to be with those who seek Him.

Let us pray. Heavenly Father, thank You for putting this hunger in this heart. Help Your child to spend more quality time with You. Teach them to redeem time, to turn aside from noise and hurry, and to sit at the feet of Jesus Christ. Give discipline and joy in prayer, understanding in Your Word, and perseverance in seeking You. Keep them by Your grace and loving kindness, and confirm them until the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. Make their time with You rich and real, that they may be enriched in every way in Christ and bear fruit for Your glory. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
