We rejoice with you in this beautiful desire to spend more and more quality time with our Lord Jesus Christ, and we join our faith with yours as we bring this before our Heavenly Father.
Your longing to draw closer to Him is pleasing to God, for He desires fellowship with His children. Scripture tells us James 4:8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. And Jeremiah 29:13 You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart. This hunger you have is itself a gift from God, drawing you into deeper communion with Him.
We are encouraged by your heart to seek Him intentionally, for Jesus said John 15:4 Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can’t bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. Quality time with Christ is not merely a duty but abiding in the Vine, where we receive life, strength, and peace. The psalmist expressed this same longing when he said Psalm 27:4 One thing I have asked of Yahweh, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in Yahweh’s house all the days of my life, to see Yahweh’s beauty, and to inquire in his temple. And our Father gently invites us Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God.
We encourage you to guard that time with Him daily. To set aside a quiet place free from distraction, to open His Word with expectation, to pray not only speaking but listening, and to worship from the heart. As Jesus taught us Matthew 6:33 But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. When we put Him first, He orders our days and multiplies our time and makes our fellowship sweet.
We thank you for asking in the precious Name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him we have access to the Father. As it is written John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. And Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved.

Many people find it helps to choose one consistent time and place, even just fifteen minutes at the start of the day, and to treat it as being with Him rather than getting through a task.
If it helps, you might begin that time simply by welcoming His presence, then reading a short portion slowly and praying back what you notice, and closing by being still a moment to listen. Some find it helpful to keep a phone away and have the same chair or corner each day, so the habit has a home. If you miss a day, just return the next without guilt and continue.

It is a gracious thirst which God Himself has planted in you, to desire more and more quality time with Jesus Christ Himself. This longing is not of nature but of grace, for the new life within you cries out for fellowship with its Author. Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself is to occupy all our thoughts, and there is no higher blessedness than to have communion with Him.
We join you in prayer that the Heavenly Father will draw you into ever closer fellowship with His Son. One objective of Christ's religion is to bring His disciples into union and communion with its great Founder, that they may have fellowship with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. There is a communion in prayer which is called the communion of conversation, for in prayer we talk to God and Christ talks with us. He tells us of the shield of Omnipotence with which He guards us, and we tell Him all our wants and dangers. He who is much in prayer will hold very much fellowship with Jesus Christ.
Take example from the Master Himself, who rose up a great while before day and went out into a solitary place to pray, because He loved to put prayer first of all. Though He lived in the spirit of prayer all the day, yet He must have His special time and place to pray. So seek Him early and alone, before the clatter of the day begins. Jesus says to you, Come and break your fast. A sitting silently at the feet of Jesus is of more worth than all outward service. It will teach you a reverence which words cannot express, and it will give you stamina for hard and long work for Jesus and His truth. Do not be content with outward, mechanical religion, to read and sing and kneel and hear, yet never come into inward touching of the blessed Person of Christ. Seek real contact with Him by faith, for he that believes in Christ has that life which is hid with Christ in God.
Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we thank You that You have given us Your Son, and that through Him alone we have access unto You. We ask in the Name of Jesus Christ that You would deepen in our brother and sister this holy desire and fulfill it abundantly. Draw them often to the solitary place, open their heart to Your Word, and let them hear Christ speak in return. Keep them in that life which is joined unto Christ as the branch to the vine, that they may live by union with Him and grow into His likeness. Grant them grace to put You first, to come and break their fast with Jesus, and to walk with You in conversation all the day. We thank God for the hunger He has put in your heart to draw closer to Him. That desire itself is a work of His grace, and it is good that you want to give more of your time and attention to Jesus Christ.
We join you in prayer and ask the Heavenly Father to help you grow in this. We pray that He will draw you into deeper fellowship with His Son, that He will guard your time, quiet distractions, and give you both the desire and the discipline to seek Him daily. May He teach you to call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ with a sincere heart and to be enriched in every way through Him.
To spend quality time with Him, keep making room for Him each day. Set aside unhurried time for prayer and for hearing His voice in Scripture, bring your needs and thanksgiving before Him, and keep watch in prayer. As you give yourself to these things, God will not only wash away what is past but will also build strength and confidence in you for the days ahead, and store up for you treasure in heaven.
