more quality time with Jesus Christ

We rejoice with you in this beautiful desire to spend more and more quality time with our Lord Jesus Christ, for this is the very heart of our faith and the source of all life and joy. Your longing to draw closer to Him is itself evidence of His Spirit working within you, drawing you into deeper fellowship with the Father.
We are reminded of the promise in James 4:8 that if we draw near to God, he will draw near to us. And in Psalm 27:4 we hear the psalmist's single heart's desire, One thing I have asked of Yahweh, that I will seek after, that I may dwell in Yahweh's house all the days of my life, to see Yahweh's beauty, and to inquire in his temple. Jesus Himself calls us to this abiding in John 15:4, Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can't bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. To spend quality time with Him is not merely a duty but remaining in the Vine where we receive strength, peace, and fruitfulness.
We also take comfort in Matthew 6:33, But seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you, and in Psalm 46:10, Be still, and know that I am God. Quality time with Him often means being still before Him, quieting our hearts from the noise of this world to hear His voice through His Word and prayer.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for this hunger You have placed in Your child's heart to know You more intimately. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You would help our dear brother or sister to spend more and more quality time with You. Draw them by Your Holy Spirit into the secret place. Help them to set apart time each day to meet with You without distraction, to open Your Word with expectation, to pray with honesty and faith, and to worship You in spirit and truth. Give them discipline and delight, that time with You would not feel like a burden but like coming home. Remove hindrances, busyness, and weariness, and teach them to be still and know that You are God. Fill them with Your presence, speak to them through Scripture, and let their love for Jesus Christ grow deeper and stronger each day. May they seek You with all their heart, knowing Your promise in Jeremiah 29:13, You will seek me and find me, when you search for me with all your heart. We ask this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to continue to pursue Him intentionally. Set a consistent time and place to meet with Him daily, even if it begins with just a few quiet minutes. Come with your Bible open, pray honestly, and listen. Let worship and thanksgiving be part of that time. He delights in your presence and desires this fellowship even more than you do. As you remain faithful in the small moments, He will enlarge your heart and your time with Him will become the most treasured part of your day.

We have found that time with the Lord deepens most not by trying harder in the moment, but by protecting a simple, steady rhythm for Him. When we leave it to leftover minutes it rarely happens. When we set apart a clear time and place, our hearts have room to be still, to listen as well as to speak, and to let His Word really meet us.
One small step that helps many is to choose a consistent window you can keep, even fifteen minutes at the start of the day, in the same spot with your Bible and with distractions put aside. Begin by quietly inviting Him to be near, read slowly without rushing, and talk honestly with Him about what you are reading. If you miss a day, just return the next without guilt and continue.

Your longing to spend more and more quality time with the Lord Jesus Christ is itself a gracious work of the Heavenly Father in your heart, and we rejoice with you in it and join our prayers to yours.
There is no higher privilege given to us than real contact with Jesus. Do not be satisfied merely with having prayed, but sigh and cry until you have touched Christ in prayer. He sees you in secret, even as He saw Nathanael under the fig tree, and He will not withhold His blessing from a heart that seeks Him with a deep sense of need. Remember that a single touch healed the woman who came behind Him, so even a brief but true beholding of Him will bring strength and healing to your soul.
The Lord Jesus invites you as He invited His weary disciples, Come and break your fast. He is thoughtful of your need and spreads for you the bread of His presence. It is important that you have this meal with Jesus at once, for many a battle is lost because the soldier is not in good condition for the fight. You need this stamina if you are to do hard and long work for Him. Bring to Him also your hard questions, your everyday burdens and that special load you have thought too great to carry to Him. Prove Him with the harder matters, for He delights to answer, He that has seen Me has seen the Father.
Let us pray together that your communion may be ever deepened, and let us offer that prayer with thanksgiving. The Scripture teaches us, In everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. When thanksgiving is blended with prayer, the peace of God which passeth all understanding shall keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus. No matter though the prayer should struggle upward out of the depths, yet must its wings be silvered over with thanksgiving.
