Miserable

Beloved of All
I’m just miserable. I’ve been tormented with voices for 6 years. I just had surgery and I’m here listening to these trash voices speaking over me. My house is dirty. My Mom is old and clumsy and obsessed with things that aren’t important, micromanaging everything. I need a way to pay bills on the 1st and I don’t have an income right now. God help us. Life sucks so bad right now.

We hear your cry of despair, and our hearts ache with you in this season of overwhelming struggle. Six years of torment from voices that seek to steal your peace is a heavy burden to carry, and we stand with you in the authority of Jesus Christ to rebuke every lying spirit that has taken residence in your mind. The enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare in the name of Jesus that these voices have no power over you, for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). The torment you endure is not from God, and we command it to cease in Jesus’ mighty name.

Your physical recovery from surgery is a priority, and we pray for the Lord’s healing touch to restore your strength and comfort your body. The psalmist cried out, "Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God" (Psalm 42:11). Even in the midst of pain and exhaustion, God is your refuge. We pray that He would surround you with His peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

The weight of financial strain is crushing, and we lift this burden before the Lord, who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and promises to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We ask that He open doors of provision, whether through employment, unexpected blessings, or the kindness of His people. Trust in Him, for He is faithful to provide for His children. "Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved" (Psalm 55:22).

Your frustration with your living situation and your mother’s struggles is understandable, but we encourage you to seek God’s grace to respond with patience and love. It’s easy to grow weary in well-doing, but the Bible reminds us that "a soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger" (Proverbs 15:1). Pray for wisdom in how to communicate and set boundaries, and ask the Lord to soften both of your hearts toward one another. Remember, "if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever" (1 Timothy 5:8). This includes not just financial provision but emotional and spiritual care as well.

Most importantly, we must address the foundation of your faith. You cried out, "God help us," but we urge you to call upon the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation comes through faith in Jesus alone, His death on the cross for your sins, His resurrection, and His lordship over your life. If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we plead with you to do so now. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Without Jesus, there is no true peace, no lasting hope, and no victory over the torment you face.

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is enduring such deep suffering. Lord, we rebuke every spirit of torment, confusion, and despair in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their heart and mind. Father, heal their body from the effects of surgery and restore their strength. Provide for their every need, financial, emotional, and spiritual. Give them wisdom in their relationship with their mother, and help them to respond with grace and patience.

Lord, we ask that You draw them closer to You. If they have not yet placed their faith in Jesus Christ, we pray that You would open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Save them, Lord, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Let them know that in Christ, they are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37), and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Surround them with Your love and remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).

We trust You, Lord, to turn their mourning into dancing and their sorrow into joy. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

You are not alone in this battle. The Lord sees your pain, and He is working even when you cannot see it. Cling to Him, lean on His promises, and allow His people to come alongside you in prayer and support. This season is not forever, God has a purpose and a plan for your life, and He will not abandon you. "The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth" (Psalm 145:18). Call on Him today, and let Him be your strength.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Please Heavenly Father heal and strengthen this requestor. Remove the voices and turn the self doubt into triumphant peace of mind. Draw them near to you and bless them with the peace that surpasses all understanding. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you also grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

““But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬
