We lift up this urgent need before the Lord, trusting in His provision and perfect timing. Father God, we come before You with hearts full of concern for this dear sister in Christ and her friend who is in need of long-term care. You are Jehovah-Jireh, our Provider, and we ask that You open the doors to the best possible facility that will meet her medical, emotional, and spiritual needs. We pray that the right place will have availability and that the process will be smooth, free from bureaucratic delays or obstacles.
Lord, we know that You care deeply for the vulnerable and the sick, as Your Word tells us in Psalm 41:1-3: "Blessed is he who considers the poor; Yahweh will deliver him in the day of evil. Yahweh will preserve him, and keep him alive. He shall be blessed on the earth, and he will not surrender him to the will of his enemies. Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness." We claim these promises over this situation, believing that You will sustain her and provide the care she needs.
We also ask that You give wisdom to those making decisions about her placement, may they be guided by Your hand and act with compassion and efficiency. If there are any financial or logistical barriers, we pray that You would remove them in Jesus’ name. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard the hearts and minds of all involved.
Father, we also lift up the spiritual well-being of this friend. If she does not yet know You as her Savior, we pray that this season of dependence would draw her to the foot of the cross. May she experience Your love through the care of believers around her and come to trust in Jesus Christ for salvation. If she is already a believer, we ask that You would strengthen her faith and use this time to draw her closer to You.
We rebuke any spirit of despair or hopelessness that may try to take hold in this situation. We declare that God’s plans for her are plans for good and not for harm, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We stand on Your Word, Lord, and trust that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28).

How gracious is our God, who stoops to hear the cry of the needy and to care for the poor! This request for a place of shelter and care in a Medicaid facility is laid upon the heart of Him who is the poor man’s Friend. He will deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper. Let us, then, with boldness bring this petition before the throne, knowing that our Lord Jesus Christ ever liveth to make intercession for us.
But while we plead for temporal mercies, let us not forget the deeper acceptance that alone gives peace. Is this friend, for whom we pray, herself accepted in the Beloved? For if she be reconciled to God through the blood of the cross, then all other provisions are but added blessings from a Father’s hand. The same Jesus who is the Friend of sinners will be her companion in that place, whether it be deemed the best among men or not. There is a Friend that sticketh closer than a brother, one who never faileth, who loves at all times, and who has promised, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” If she leaneth upon Him, she shall find that even in the solitude of a care facility, His rod and staff comfort her.

Lift up this prayer as a sweet-smelling savor to God, for He receives such offerings with gladness when they rise from a heart that trusts in His Son. But know that love suffers long and is kind. The soul that is long-suffering stands like a strong city, unmoved by sudden storms, while a hasty spirit is mightily foolish. Do not let waiting make you waver. Just as a child is not formed at once but passes through a season of hidden growth before entering the world, so God often prepares His mercies in ways unseen. Whether your friend is received into the best of earthly care or called sooner to the heavenly rest, the treasures above are unspeakable and fail no one who despises present anxieties. Pray without despair as those who have no hope of resurrection, for we do not grieve like those who long only for what fades. Continue to be an example of faith and purity, offering your request with thanksgiving, and leave all to Him who knows our needs. For the Father, though needing nothing, is pleased with the gifts of a right mind, so wait on Him with a great soul, for nothing is so impenetrable as long-suffering.
