Father we thank You for ordaining government through Adam, and Pray for Our Presidents, V.P.s, Secretaries of State and Defense, DOJ, Congress (House and Senate, Parliaments, Legislators) Federal Judges and Supreme Court Justices that need our prayers and support. We ask that they rule as submitted to God and rule well in accord with Scripture, as "Rulers are to write for themselves a copy of the Law of GOD upon inauguration," Deut 17:18. Furthermore, we ask for wisdom, guidance, godliness and unity for our nation's defense: The Pentagon, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Generals, Military Commanders and other Bureaus, Intelligence, and those of all peoples who need Christ, Your wisdom and Your sovereignty (which we participate with GOD in governing, Gen 1:26, Ps 115:16, through cooperating with His intentions and ways, Ps 86:11, through Your Word, Deut 17:18, Josh 8:32, 2 Tim 3:15-16, God-given Counsel, Prov 11:14, Prov 24:6, and Prayer, Gen 1:26, Ps 115:16, 1 Tim 2:1-4).

Father, we seek first Your Kingdom and Righteousness, Matt 6:33, we cry out for wisdom and protection continually Ps 72:15, Luke 18:1, Eph 1:16, for these human individuals in positions of world influence, Rom 13:4, asking Your mercy, guidance and counsel from Your Word, and protection. Keep them from the evil one, 2 Kings 6:12, Jn 17:15, imposters and evil people, 2 Tim 3:13, let them turn away from such false people, 2 Tim 3:5, and let the evil ones be replaced, Ps 75:6-7, Ps 109:8, Acts 1:20.

We concede that there are no perfect rulers and actually see the wisdom in asking, "Your Kingdom Come, Your Will Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven, Matt 6:10. Come Lord Jesus.

In the interim, let these leaders know what to do, James 1:5, what to set as priorities and help them FULLY carry out Your purposes in their generation, as King David served Your purposes, Acts 13:36. Keep them from sin, 1 Cor 8:1, lead them NOT into temptation, Luke 11:4, yes we ask, lead them not into temptation, deliver them from all evil, Matt 6:13, even the evil one, Rev 12:9, Jn 17:15. It is written, You will keep them from the evil one, 2 Thes 3:3. You will give Your angels charge over them, Ps 91:11-13. Thank You in advance, Matt 11:23-24, as we trust in You with all our hearts and pray, not lean on our own understanding, Prov 3:5-6, in Jesus Name, since there is "no other Name given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, John 14:6, 1 Tim 2:5, again with thanksgiving we offer these requests, let now the peace of God guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7, The Amen, Faithful Witness and Originator of God's New Creation, Rev 3:14, even the Name of Jesus Christ, from whose Full Inheritance we each receive blessing after blessing, John 1:16, Eph 1:3, Eph 1:17-20, and in Him all God's Promises are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We join you in this timely and scriptural cry for Christ to reign through rulers by His will and His Word, and we thank you for anchoring this intercession so deeply in Scripture.

We agree that God ordained governing authority from the beginning. God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. Let them have dominion Gen 1:26, and The heavens are Yahweh's heavens, but the earth has he given to the children of men Ps 115:16. Government is not an afterthought but part of our stewardship under God, and He intends for those who govern to be guided by His Word. As it is written, it shall be, when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write himself a copy of this law in a book Deut 17:18. We pray with you that our presidents, vice presidents, secretaries of state and defense, the Department of Justice, our Congress, House and Senate, parliaments and legislators, federal judges and Supreme Court justices, together with the Pentagon, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, generals, military commanders, bureaus and intelligence communities, would submit themselves to God and rule well according to Scripture.

We also stand on the clear command to pray for those in authority. We exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence 1 Tim 2:1-2. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth 1 Tim 2:3-4. For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil, for he is a servant of God to you for good Rom 13:4. Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory Prov 11:14, and For by wise guidance you wage your war, and victory is in many advisors Prov 24:6. So we ask the Lord to surround these leaders with godly counsel, with advisors who fear God and speak truth, and to remove counsel that is corrupt or self serving.

We join you in praying for protection from falsehood, imposters, moles, leaks and evil plans. We ask the Lord to intercept evil plans as He did for Elisha, when it was said The words that you speak in your bedroom are reported by Elisha the prophet 2 Kings 6:12, and to keep these leaders from the evil one as Jesus prayed, I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one John 17:15. We know that evil men and impostors will wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived 2 Tim 3:13, and that many hold a form of godliness but deny its power, from such turn away 2 Tim 3:5, and they profess that they know God, but by their deeds they deny him Tit 1:16. We ask God to expose what is hidden, to bring leaks and deceptions into the light, to replace those who are unfaithful, for it is written Promotion does not come from the east, nor from the west, nor yet from the south, but God is the judge, he puts down one, and lifts up another Ps 75:6-7, and Let another take his office Ps 109:8, Acts 1:20.

We acknowledge with you that there are no perfect rulers, and so we pray with greater longing, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth Matt 6:10, and we say Come, Lord Jesus. In the interim we ask for wisdom generously given to those who ask. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. We pray they would seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness Matt 6:33, that they would know what to do and what to set as priorities and fully carry out God's purposes in their generation, as David served the counsel of God in his own generation Acts 13:36.

We pray for their personal holiness and protection, that God would not lead them into temptation, but deliver them from the evil one Matt 6:13, John 17:15, for The Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one 2 Thess 3:3. We ask that He will put his angels in charge of them, For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways Ps 91:11, and that they would trust in the Lord with all their hearts and not lean on their own understanding, In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Prov 3:5-6.

We give thanks that we can come with confidence only through Jesus, for There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Tim 2:5, and Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me John 14:6, and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We thank God for the fullness we have in Him, for Of his fullness we all received, and grace for grace John 1:16, and that every promise finds its yes in Him, For however many are the promises of God, in him is the Yes, therefore also through him is the Amen 2 Cor 1:20.

So together we pray, Father, we thank You for ordaining authority and for the privilege of participating with You in governing through prayer and Your Word. Pour out wisdom, guidance, godliness and unity upon all who lead and all who defend this nation. Let Your Word dwell richly in their hearts, let righteous counsel prevail, and let every evil plan be intercepted and brought to nothing. Guard them from the evil one, from flattering lips and deceitful hearts, and raise up faithful men and women in their place when needed. Lead them not into temptation, keep them from sin, and help them to fulfill Your good purposes with courage and humility. Let peace be established and let many come to salvation through tranquil and godly order. We ask this with thanksgiving, trusting Your sovereign hand, and we let the peace of God guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus Phil 4:6-7 as we pray in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

We appreciate you bringing such a faithful, wide-reaching burden before the Lord. Your heart for our presidents, vice presidents, judges, legislators, and all who serve in defense and intelligence comes through so clearly, and your desire to see them led by wisdom and integrity is a gift to the church and to our communities.

We join you in asking God to give these men and women clarity, humility, and good counsel as they carry heavy responsibilities. It encourages us that you are already seeking His will above any party or personality, trusting Him to guide and to guard and to accomplish His purposes in this generation.

One steady way to carry this prayer forward is to keep a simple rhythm that you can sustain. Many find it helpful to set aside a few minutes at the same time each day to pray for a small group of leaders by name, and if possible to do that with one other believer who will remember them with you. That kind of consistent, quiet intercession helps keep the burden from feeling overwhelming.

Father, we lift these leaders to You and ask for Your mercy and protection over them and their families. Give them wisdom to seek what is right, courage to turn from what is evil, and trusted counsel around them. Draw each one closer to Yourself through Jesus Christ and let Your peace rule in our land. Guard our hearts as we continue to pray and trust You. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join you with a hearty Amen in this supplication, and thank God for stirring your heart to pray thus for those in authority. It is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour that supplications, prayers, intercessions and givings of thanks be made for kings and for all that are in high place, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty, and that the knowledge of the truth may spread.

Your prayer is scriptural throughout. The Lord indeed ordained the powers that be, and rulers are His ministers for good. Well do you plead that they should write the copy of the law upon their hearts and rule in the fear of God, seeking wisdom not from their own understanding but from His Word, and taking godly counsel as in the multitude of counsellors there is safety. We would have them know what to do and be enabled fully to carry out the purposes of God in their generation, as David served his generation by the will of God.

We entreat the Lord with you that He would keep these men from the evil one, as our Lord prayed, Keep them from the evil, and that He would give His angels charge over them. As Elisha prayed and the Lord revealed the counsel of the enemy, so we ask that every evil plan, every falsehood, every work of imposters and moles and leakers, and every device of false brethren, may be exposed and brought to nothing, and that such as are unfaithful may be replaced according to the word, let another take his office. We ask that our presidents, vice presidents, secretaries, judges, legislators, and those who bear the sword and watch for our defense, with all who lead in the Pentagon, among the joint chiefs, commanders, and in intelligence, may be granted wisdom, guidance, godliness and unity, and above all that they may be brought to know Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

You have done well to pray with perseverance. The apostle beseeches the brethren to agonize together with him in prayer, not with words that foam away, but with humble boldness and intensity of desire, as a hidden torrent that cuts through rock. Such earnest prayer is prevalent because Christ Himself has prayed for us, and His intercession must prevail. Religion is not a thing for churches and chapels alone, but for courts and councils and camps, and the fear of the Lord is strong confidence and a place of refuge both for those who pray and for their children after them.

Let us therefore continue steadfastly. Let us not neglect the assembling of ourselves together for prayer, for praying is the chief matter, and let us also prove the sincerity of our prayers by doing what we can to answer them, living ourselves in subjection to the Word we desire rulers to obey. We confess with you that there are no perfect rulers, and so we cry with greater earnestness, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and we look for the coming of our Lord Jesus.

We will bear your burden before the mercy seat, that the God of peace may be with you and with those for whom you pray, that He may grant protection from every evil work, deliverance from temptation, and grace to walk in His ways, trusting with all our hearts and leaning not to our own understanding. May the peace of God which passes all understanding guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, in whose name every promise is Yea and Amen.
