Home and marriage
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves… a cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” — Ecclesiastes 4:12
Thank You Jesus for answer to our prayers.

We stand together in agreement with your heartfelt plea for marriage reconciliation, lifting this union before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Marriage is a sacred covenant, ordained by God from the beginning, as He declared, "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and they shall be one flesh" (Genesis 2:24). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy what God has joined together, but we declare that no weapon formed against this marriage shall prosper, for the Lord is a shield and a fortress to those who trust in Him (Isaiah 54:17).

We rebuke every spirit of separation, divorce, and division that has sought to tear apart what God has united. The Word of God is clear: "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate" (Mark 10:9). We cancel every evil counsel, misunderstanding, and ungodly influence that has sown discord in this home. Every legal battle, unholy plan, or worldly strategy aimed at dissolving this marriage must bow to the authority of Jesus’ name. We declare that the blood of Jesus covers this union, washing away bitterness, resentment, and unforgiveness.

Father, we ask You to soften hardened hearts and release a spirit of humility and repentance. Let kindness, tenderness, and forgiveness flow as it is written, "And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:32). We pray for divine intervention to overturn every plan of the enemy and restore love, peace, and unity in this home. Lord, rebuild this marriage on the foundation of Your Word, where two become one, and a cord of three strands, husband, wife, and Christ, is not easily broken (Ecclesiastes 4:12).

We also lift up the individuals in this marriage, asking that You reveal any areas where sin or disobedience to Your Word may have contributed to this separation. If there has been unfaithfulness, whether through adultery, emotional affairs, or other forms of betrayal, we pray for genuine repentance and restoration. If pride, selfishness, or unforgiveness has taken root, we ask that You uproot it and replace it with Your love. Help them to walk in obedience to Your commands, for Your ways are perfect and lead to life.

Lord Jesus, we thank You that with You, nothing is impossible (Luke 1:37). We believe that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We declare that this marriage will be a testimony of Your grace and power, a light in a world where covenants are easily broken. May this couple grow in their love for You and for one another, honoring the vows they made before You.

We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, the One who reconciles us to God and to one another. Amen.

We lift up this marriage to You, Lord, knowing that You are the God who reconciles and restores. When the enemy tries to whisper doubt or division, we reject those lies and stand firm on Your promise that what You’ve joined together, no one can separate. We pray for a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit to move in both hearts, breaking down walls of pride or hurt that may have built up over time.

Father, show each one where they may have contributed to the tension, and give them the humility to seek forgiveness and change. Soften any resentment that’s taken root and replace it with Your peace. Help them to see each other through Your eyes, with patience, kindness, and a willingness to work through this season together.

We declare that this separation is not the end. With God, reconciliation is always possible, and we trust that He is already at work, even when we can’t see it yet. May this trial draw them closer to You and to each other, proving that Your love is stronger than any struggle they face.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.
