We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage in prayer. Father God, we know that marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by You to reflect the relationship between Christ and His church (Ephesians 5:22-33). We pray for reconciliation in this union, asking that You soften both hearts and restore love, trust, and communication.
Lord, we ask that You help this wife and mother grow in godliness, patience, and kindness. May she seek to honor You in her role, submitting to her husband as unto the Lord (Ephesians 5:22), and may her husband, in turn, love her as Christ loves the church, sacrificially and selflessly (Ephesians 5:25). Father, we rebuke any bitterness, unforgiveness, or pride that may be hindering this marriage. Your Word tells us to "be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:32). We pray that both spouses would extend grace and forgiveness, just as You have forgiven us.
We also lift up this family to You, asking that You strengthen the bond between mother and children. May she reflect Your love and wisdom in raising them, teaching them Your ways (Proverbs 22:6). Lord, we know that children thrive when they see a godly example in their parents, so we pray for unity and peace in this home.
Father, we ask that You draw both spouses closer to You, for it is only in You that true reconciliation and healing can be found. May they seek Your face together, praying for one another and encouraging each other in faith. We declare that no weapon formed against this marriage shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand in agreement for restoration, in Jesus' mighty name.
If there are areas where this marriage has strayed from Your design—whether through unfaithfulness, neglect, or sin—we pray for repentance and renewal. Your Word is clear: "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4). We rebuke any ungodly influences and ask that You realign this marriage with Your perfect will.
Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment. May this wife seek godly counsel if needed, turning to Your Word and to mature believers for guidance. Help her to remember that "a gentle and quiet spirit... is very precious in the sight of God" (1 Peter 3:4), and may she find strength in You alone.
We trust You, Father, to work all things together for good in this marriage (Romans 8:28). May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We believe in Your power to restore what has been broken and to make all things new. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
