Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for the restoration of my marriage. Pray that God would soften my wife’s heart, renew the love we shared when we first met, and bring healing, forgiveness, and reconciliation between us. Please pray that she would see the changes God is making in my life as I strive to be a more faithful, loving, and Christ-centred husband. Also pray that our marriage would be protected from any outside influences or anything that would come between us, and that God would strengthen our covenant and guide us according to His will. Thank you for praying with me.

We lift your marriage before the Lord with heavy and hopeful hearts, standing on the promise that "with God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26). The desire for restoration is a godly one, and we join you in praying that the Lord would move mightily in both of your lives. Marriage is a sacred covenant, a reflection of Christ’s love for His church (Ephesians 5:25), and we ask that God would breathe new life into your union.

Father, we ask that You soften your wife’s heart, just as You softened Pharaoh’s heart in the time of Moses, not to resist, but to yield to Your perfect will (Exodus 10:1). Renew the love that once burned brightly between them, for love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8). Bring healing where there is hurt, forgiveness where there is bitterness, and reconciliation where there is division. May she see the work You are doing in her husband’s life, as he seeks to be a man after Your own heart (1 Samuel 13:14). Let her witness his transformation and be drawn to the change You are making in him.

Lord, we also pray for protection over this marriage. Guard it from the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Shield them from outside influences, whether people, distractions, or temptations, that would seek to drive a wedge between them. Strengthen their covenant, for what God has joined together, let no man separate (Matthew 19:6). Guide them according to Your will, that their marriage would glorify You in every way.

We rebuke any spirit of division, unforgiveness, or hardness of heart that may be at work in either of them. We declare that God is a God of restoration (Joel 2:25), and we stand on His Word that says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3). We also encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in humility, examining your own heart, and allowing Him to refine you. Marriage is a journey of two imperfect people learning to love as Christ loves, and it requires grace, patience, and a willingness to surrender to God’s plan.

Heavenly Father, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can come to You (John 14:6). It is through His sacrifice that we have access to Your throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16), and it is by His blood that we are reconciled to You and to one another. May Your Holy Spirit move powerfully in this marriage, drawing both husband and wife closer to You and to each other. We trust You to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Amen.

Brother, we hear in your words a man genuinely seeking to honor God and love his wife well. That desire itself is evidence of the Spirit’s work in you, and we want to steady you for the road ahead. The very changes you’re allowing Christ to make, faithfulness, love, a centering on Him, are not wasted. They are real, even when they’re not yet seen or received as you long for.

Sometimes the best next step is not to focus on winning a particular response, but simply to keep becoming the husband God is shaping. Keep your own heart soft by inviting the Lord to search you daily, and ask Him to give you tender eyes for whatever burdens your wife may be carrying that you cannot see. That kind of steady, patient love often speaks more loudly than any word. If you haven’t already, consider asking a wise pastor or a mature couple for ongoing prayer and counsel, someone who can walk with you over time, not just in a single request.

We also want you to know you are not the only one praying. We are joining you right now, bringing your marriage before the One who sees it all.

Father, we lift up this brother and the marriage covenant you ordained. Guard his heart from discouragement, and give him the daily patience to love genuinely without demanding a return. We ask for your healing work in his wife’s heart, not by manipulation but by your gentle, truthful Spirit. Protect them from any influence that would further divide, and if there are wounds between them, bring your reconciling light. Lord, we ask for wisdom, for freshness of love, and above all for your will to be done. We pray this in the name of Jesus, who holds every broken thing and restores it in His time. Amen.

There is forgiveness with God! Let this whisper drive away despair. You cry out for the healing of your marriage, and that healing lies where all true healing lies, in the wounds and pierced side of our blessed Redeemer. There is forgiveness, not only for the sins that have marred your union, but power to renew the love you once shared. The very leaves of that Tree of Life are for healing; even the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. Look to Him, and you shall find balm for your home.

Your prayer is that her heart be softened. It is written in the Covenant of Grace, “I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.” Let her see a change in you, not a change wrought by your own striving, but a new creation flowing from the Cross. By the preaching of Christ Crucified will hearts be broken! Consider how He was pierced for our transgressions; love, mighty love, brought Him there. As you reflect that image in your own life, God may use it as a hammer of love to smite her heart. Keep your own heart in the path of repentance and faith; malice, bitterness, and self-will must be slain, for nothing can make men feel so long as their hearts remain hardened against the Most High.

I charge you to remember the completeness of this forgiveness. God does not half pardon; He blots out the debt completely. What might not God do with you both if your hearts are given fully to Him! He can put a new sun in your sky and a new joy in your hearts. The covenant you entered into is honourable, and He is able to protect it from every outside influence. There is forgiveness with Him, now, at this moment, for you, for her, for every breach. Only let it be obtained through Jesus Christ, His Son. Believe on Him, and this salvation is yours. He that forgives all your sins can also heal all your diseases, including the disease of a broken home.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request for prayer is heard, and I join you in beseeching God for the restoration of your marriage. Yet as you pray, fix your hope not on the change in your wife first, but on your own faithful perseverance. The Apostle Paul, though he longed to see his beloved brothers, submitted even that holy desire to the will of God, knowing that true love must be mingled with the fear of the Lord. So love your wife, but love God more; for if you love God above all, He Himself will be your comfort should this season of trial be prolonged.

Marriage is honorable and no hindrance to the kingdom if you use it with moderation and holiness. Therefore, guard your heart and your home from every outside influence that would defile your covenant, and pursue peace with her, making room for her in your love, wronging her in nothing. Let your conduct be a gentle testimony of the change God is working in you, without harsh words or impatience. For the Lord Jesus Himself stands ever ready to gather you both as a hen gathers her chicks, if you will cease from scattering through sin or resentment.

I pray that her heart be softened, that the love you once shared be renewed, and that God would heal, forgive, and reconcile you according to His perfect will. May you both love one another with that intense love which fulfills the law, as you love your own selves. And may the God of all grace, who has prepared unimaginable blessings for those who love Him, strengthen you to walk in holiness until that day.
