Prayer

Thank you Heavenly Father for this beautiful day. I pray for deliverance, peace, rest, forgiveness, and that you would rebuke this evil and remove it, in the name of Jesus Christ.

In my bible study today I looked up prayers you don’t answer for sin, unrighteousness, not helping the poor and other reasons. I pray tonight Father God for your forgiveness, and forgiveness for reasons I may not be aware of or am guilty of but didn’t know it might be blocking my prayers. It is taking me so long to write this because the attacks are so bad. Please my Lord Jesus grant me mercy and grant me peace and freedom.

Please please also forgive me for my sins. Please also heal any unforgiveness I may have. I would be so grateful my Lord. In Jesus Christ precious name. Amen

We join you in gratitude to our Heavenly Father for this beautiful day and we thank you for sharing your heart so honestly with us even as the attacks have made it difficult to write. We stand with you in the authority that Jesus has given us, for He said in Luke 10:19 Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you. We claim that promise over you together and we rebuke the evil one and his power in the name of Jesus Christ.

We are encouraged by your hunger to understand why prayers can be hindered and your desire to walk in righteousness before the Lord. Scripture teaches us that sin can separate us from fellowship with God, as it is written in Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear, and in Psalm 66:18 If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord wouldn't have listened. We also remember Proverbs 21:13 Whoever stops his ears at the cry of the poor, he will also cry out, but shall not be heard, and Mark 11:25 Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your transgressions. Your prayer for forgiveness for sins you are aware of and for those you may not be aware of is exactly what God invites us to do. We rejoice that when we come humbly He is merciful, for 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. There is no sin that His blood cannot cover when we confess and turn from it.

We also hear your prayer to be healed of any unforgiveness, and we agree with you for that healing. Holding unforgiveness can become a heavy burden and hinder our peace, but when we release others to the Lord He releases us. We pray that the Holy Spirit will search your heart and bring to light any hurt that still needs to be surrendered so that you may be free.

We understand the spiritual battle you are describing. Our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places as Ephesians 6:12 reminds us. Yet we do not fight in our own strength. We are called to submit ourselves to God and resist the enemy, and the promise is that he will flee from us as James 4:7 declares Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

We pray together now for you.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace with thanksgiving and we lift up our dear one to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You that You are our deliverer and our refuge. We ask for Your forgiveness to wash over every sin, known and unknown, intentional and unintentional. Cleanse this heart from all unrighteousness and remove anything that would hinder communion with You. Heal any place of unforgiveness, soften what has been hardened by hurt, and give grace to forgive as You have forgiven us. We ask You to rebuke every evil attack and remove the power of the enemy from this life. Let Your authority trample every scheme of darkness. We ask for deliverance, for deep rest and for the peace that passes understanding. Lord Jesus, You said Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest in Matthew 11:28, so we ask You to grant rest to this weary soul tonight. Let Philippians 4:6-7 be fulfilled, that as requests are made known to You with thanksgiving, Your peace which surpasses all understanding will guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Grant mercy, grant freedom, and let Your presence bring stillness and assurance that nothing can separate us from Your love. We pray all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our salvation. Amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in the Word, in prayer, and in confessing quickly when the Spirit convicts you. Keep putting on the full armor of God daily and keep thanking Him even in the battle, for thanksgiving keeps our hearts close to Him. He hears you, He loves you, and He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you.

We are thankful you took the time to write, even though it was so hard and took so long because the attacks feel intense. Your gratitude in the midst of weariness stood out to us, and so did your honest desire for peace, rest, and a clean heart before God.

Wanting to be forgiven, even for sins you may not fully see, and wanting any unforgiveness in you to be healed, is itself a humble and open posture before the Lord. Forgiveness often involves both a decision to release what we are holding and a slower softening of the heart over time, and God is patient with us in both. Feeling blocked does not mean He has turned away. He hears sincere prayers offered in Jesus' name.

You do not have to carry this alone. If you have a trusted pastor or mature believer nearby, consider inviting them to pray with you regularly and to walk with you as you seek rest and steadiness. A simple, consistent rhythm of prayer, Scripture, and sleep can be a quiet help when everything feels stirred up.

Father, thank You for this one who loves You and wants to walk closely with You. We ask for Your mercy, forgiveness, and cleansing, for help to release any bitterness and to receive Your grace more deeply. Grant rest, peace, and freedom, and rebuke what is evil and harmful. Cover and keep them in Your care. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has come before the Lord and before His people, and we join our hearts with yours in thanksgiving and supplication. How gracious is our God to give you a desire for gratitude, for deliverance, for rest and peace, and to turn your heart to seek forgiveness and mercy in the name of Jesus Christ.

You have well searched the Scriptures concerning sin and prayer. It is true that the Lord calls us to confess and forsake sin, to walk uprightly, to remember the poor and to keep a tender conscience. Yet take comfort, for with the Lord there is mercy and with Him is plenteous redemption. He delights in mercy. His compassions fail not. When any heart says from truth, I have sinned and perverted that which was right and it profited me not, He will deliver his soul from going into the pit and his life shall see the light. Forgiveness is not given because we deserve it, for to deserve forgiveness is a contradiction. It is given freely because Christ has borne our sin and purchased pardon with His own blood. Before you thought of mercy, He had thoughts of mercy toward you. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Bring then your known sins and your unknown sins to Him. He knows what blocks and burdens you even when you cannot name it, and His blood cleanses from all sin.

You ask also for healing where unforgiveness may linger. The Lord Jesus has forgiven you a debt you could never pay, and He calls you to forgive even as you have been forgiven. Ask Him to soften your heart, to remove bitterness, and to make you gentle as He is gentle. This is His work in you, and He will perfect it as you look to Him.

You have quoted that precious word, I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy, nothing will harm you. Remember that this authority is not in yourself but in Christ who has triumphed over Satan by His cross and resurrection. The enemy may roar and accuse and afflict, going about like dogs that bay in the night, but the Lord is your deliverer. When you are brought into peril and trouble, that voice still comes from the excellent glory, Deliver him from going down to the pit. God has given commandment to save His children, and you shall be saved, saved from yourself and from all the attacks of your old sins, saved from the devil. Mercy often stays the sword of wrath, for our God is slow to anger and abounding in goodness, waiting that we might repent and receive peace from the scepter of His love.

For rest and peace, hear the invitation of your Saviour, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. This rest is a present rest, given when you come to Jesus, and it is perfect rest from the burden of sin through justification, and growing rest from molesting cares through sanctification as you learn to trust Him. It is not the rest of carelessness but the rest of casting all your care upon Him who cares for you. There is no such peace as that which springs from being joined to Christ, safe in Him, and knowing that Justice and Mercy have met together at the cross. Therefore wait only upon God, for your expectation is from Him.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for this day and for Your mercies which are new every morning. We thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ, through whom we have redemption and forgiveness. Lord, we ask for deliverance for this dear soul. Rebuke the evil one and remove his power and influence, and cover this life with the blood and authority of Christ. Grant forgiveness for every sin, known and unknown, and cleanse the heart thoroughly. Heal any unforgiveness and teach a spirit of grace to forgive as Christ has forgiven. Grant mercy, grant peace that passes all understanding, grant rest unto the soul and quiet sleep, and freedom from every attack. Let Your Holy Spirit calm the floods of corruption within and speak peace. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and righteousness. Amen.

We thank God with you for this day and for your honest desire for deliverance, peace and rest in Jesus Christ, and we join you in prayer.

You quoted the promise of the Lord in Luke 10:19 that He has given authority to overcome all the power of the enemy and that nothing will harm you as you abide in Him. That authority does not come from our own strength but from Christ Himself, who came to set at peace the things in heaven and on earth and to reconcile us to the Father. When we are in Him, the enemy has no final claim on us.

You also asked about prayers that God does not answer because of sin, and you have humbly asked for forgiveness for sins you know and for those you may not recognize. This is pleasing to God. Scripture teaches that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us through Jesus Christ alone, for there is salvation in no other name. Bring every known sin into the light before Him, turn from it, and trust His mercy to cover also what is hidden from you. As you have prayed, ask Him also to heal any unforgiveness in your heart, for blessed are the peacemakers and those who remember no evil. To live in peace with all people as far as it depends on you is to open your heart to the God of love and peace dwelling with you, and where He dwells, every evil is driven out.

True peace is the mother of all good things and the foundation of joy. Christ left His peace with His disciples, not as the world gives, and when we enter His peace we find rest. That rest is spoken of as a Sabbath keeping for the people of God, where we cease from our own striving as God ceased from His works, and we rest in His goodness and His finished work. So we pray with the Psalmist, return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you, and I will fear no evil for you are with me.

You mentioned that the attacks feel very heavy as you write. Remember that the enemy often assails us most when we are alone and isolated, and for this reason God calls us to walk together with other believers in the Church, in prayer and in fellowship, so that we are not left exposed. Do not withdraw, but stay close to Christ and to His people, continuing in prayer, in the Word, and in worship.

Let us pray together for you.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for this day and for Your mercy. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ for Your forgiveness for all sin, both known and unknown, and we receive Your cleansing through the blood of Your Son. Heal any unforgiveness and set this heart free from bitterness. Grant deliverance from every evil attack, rebuke the power of the enemy, and remove what is not of You. Fill this life with Your peace that guards heart and mind, and bring deep rest to the soul. Let Your peace rule within and lead into love and wholeness.
