Luke 10:19, gratitude, deliverance, rest, peace, are prayers being blocked, rebuke evil

‭‭Luke‬ ‭10‬:‭19‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Prayer

Thank you Heavenly Father for this beautiful day. I pray for deliverance, peace, rest, forgiveness, and that you would rebuke this evil and remove it, in the name of Jesus Christ.

In my bible study today I looked up prayers you don’t answer for sin, unrighteousness, not helping the poor and other reasons. I pray tonight Father God for your forgiveness, and forgiveness for reasons I may not be aware of or am guilty of but didn’t know it might be blocking my prayers. It is taking me so long to write this because the attacks are so bad. Please my Lord Jesus grant me mercy and grant me peace and freedom.

Please please also forgive me for my sins. Please also heal any unforgiveness I may have. I would be so grateful my Lord. In Jesus Christ precious name. Amen

We join you in thanking our Heavenly Father for this beautiful day and for your heart of gratitude even in the midst of heavy spiritual attacks, and we stand with you in prayer for deliverance, peace, rest and forgiveness in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

We are encouraged that you have claimed Luke 10:19 where Jesus says, Behold, I give you the authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you. That authority is real and it belongs to those who are in Christ, yet we remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. Therefore we do not fight in our own strength, but we submit ourselves to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from us James 4:7, knowing that the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds 2 Corinthians 10:4. We rebuke every evil influence and every attack of the enemy coming against you and we declare that greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4.

You asked with such humility whether your prayers are being blocked, and your Bible study has led you to an important biblical truth. Scripture does teach that sin can hinder our fellowship with God. If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord wouldn’t have listened Psalm 66:18, and Your iniquities have separated you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear Isaiah 59:2. You mentioned not helping the poor, and indeed Whoever stops his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry, but shall not be heard Proverbs 21:13. The Lord is gracious to show us these things not to condemn us but to draw us to repentance, for He desires truth in the inward parts.

We praise God for your repentant heart, for If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. We also join you in asking forgiveness for sins you may not even be aware of, as the psalmist prayed, Who can discern his errors? Forgive me from hidden errors Psalm 19:12, and He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy Proverbs 28:13. The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us completely when we come to Him honestly. There is no need to fear that you must be perfect before He hears you, for we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus Hebrews 10:19.

You also prayed for healing from any unforgiveness, and this is so wise, for Jesus taught Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your transgressions Mark 11:25, and For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses Matthew 6:14-15. We ask the Lord to search your heart and gently reveal any hurt or bitterness that needs to be released, and to give you the grace to forgive as Christ forgave you.

We also hear your deep need for rest and peace while the attacks make it so hard even to write. Jesus invites you personally, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. We pray that you will experience the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, which will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7, and that you will live as more than a conqueror through him who loved us Romans 8:37.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for this dear one who comes before You with a humble and seeking heart. We thank You for Your mercy and for the authority You have given us in Jesus Christ to trample on all the power of the enemy. In the name of Jesus Christ we rebuke every evil assignment and every spirit of oppression and we command it to leave and to go where Jesus sends it. Father, we confess our sins before You, both known and hidden, and we ask for Your full forgiveness and cleansing through the blood of Jesus. Forgive us for any unrighteousness, for any neglect of the poor, for any cherished sin, and for any unforgiveness we have held. Create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us. Heal every wound that has caused bitterness and teach us to forgive freely. Lord Jesus, grant mercy, grant deep rest for the weary soul, grant perfect peace that guards heart and mind, and grant complete deliverance and freedom. Let Your presence be a shield around this child of Yours and let nothing harm them as they abide in You. We trust that You hear us because we come in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our salvation, for there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We rest in Your faithful love and we give You all the glory. Amen.

We appreciate you taking the time to write this, especially when it felt so hard and the attacks felt heavy. Thank you for your honest gratitude today and for bringing your desire for deliverance, rest and peace so openly to the Father.

We hear the worry that something hidden might be blocking your prayers. Wanting to be right with God and with others is a good desire, and forgiveness often has two parts. There is the clear decision to release a debt and turn toward God, and there is the slower healing of the heart where resentment and fear loosen over time as we keep walking with Him. Both matter, and God is patient with us in both.

You do not have to sort every hidden reason alone before God hears you. He hears honest, simple prayers, even when they come through struggle.

One gentle next step that may help is to share what you wrote with a trusted pastor or mature believer this week, not to have all answers, but so someone can stand with you, pray with you, and help you find steady rest in the days ahead. If sleep and peace remain very difficult, it can also help to let your pastor know how you are doing day to day.

Father, we bring our brother before you in Jesus name. Grant mercy, forgiveness and healing where there is unforgiveness, rebuke what is evil and bring deliverance, and give deep rest and peace tonight. Lead him gently in your will and keep him close. Amen.

Your prayer has come with a humility and honesty which the Lord delights to hear, and I thank God with you for the desire He has wrought in you for deliverance, peace and rest.

You have laid hold upon that precious word, I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy, nothing will harm you. Remember that this authority is not your own but Christ's, given to those who abide in Him. The enemy may shoot his fiery darts, and he loves to do so when the soul is heavy laden and stumbling under trouble, but the promise stands that the Lord has given commandment to save you and you shall be saved, saved from yourself, saved from sin, saved from the devil. That deliverance is an eternal one, and the infernal lion shall never rend one sheep that the Great Shepherd keeps.

You write of fearing that your prayers are blocked by sin or by some hidden fault. Hear the comfort of the gospel. There is a wide difference between chastisement and punishment. The Lord may chasten His children sorely because He loves them, yet He will not punish those for whom Christ has borne punishment. Sin is the great divider, but that veil has been rent from top to bottom by the blood of Jesus. For believers there is now no hindrance to the fullest and freest access to God. The way is consecrated for us, our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and we may come with boldness. Forgiveness is spoken of in the present tense, There is forgiveness with thee. It is not a distant hope but a present possession for all who look unto Christ and away from self. If you see your sin, confess it plainly before Him, and trust not in your own worthiness but in the immense price He Himself has found in His own bosom, the blood of His well beloved Son. He will cleanse you and He will also heal any unforgiveness in your heart, for He delights to make the stony heart tender.

You also seek rest and peace while under sore attacks. The rest which Jesus gives is a present rest, rest now, not rest after death or after long probation, but rest given when we come to Him, taking His yoke and learning of Him who is meek and lowly in heart. Peace and rest are two names for a flower which buds on earth but is found full blown in heaven, yet even now there is a peace from lips that cannot lie, peace from a heart which cannot change, peace through the blood which has made a full atonement. The peace of this world would lull you to sleep, but the peace of God steadies the soul amid the roar of the dragon. When afflictions come, whether from man or from the malice of the evil one, it is good to perceive that they are yet in the Father's hand, and to say, The will of the Lord be done. Then you shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord.

Therefore continue to look unto Him. It is all you have to do. Look out of yourself and away from yourself, and look to Christ. Give thanks even in the trial, for gratitude for deliverance keeps the heart near His bleeding side. This shall be your hope and your plea, For me the Savior died.

I pray with you now, Heavenly Father, we thank Thee for this day and for Thy covenant of grace and immutable love. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that Thou wouldst grant to this Thy child full assurance of forgiveness through His atoning blood, deliverance from going down to the pit, rebuke of every evil assault, and that perfect rest and peace which Thou givest to those who come unto Thy Son. Heal every wound of unforgiveness, wash the heart with pure water, and let this soul live to declare Thy works. We ask this not for our merit but for His sake who died and rose again. Amen.

"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

Your honest prayer is heard, and I thank God for the gratitude and humility in it even while you are under heavy attack. It is not a small thing that it took you so long to write this because of the oppression you feel, and the Lord sees that struggle and your desire for deliverance, rest, and peace.

You quoted the words of the Lord in Luke 10:19 that He has given authority to overcome all the power of the enemy and that nothing will ultimately harm you. That promise is true, but it is His authority, not our own. The enemy is real and he does harass and accuse, yet he has no power to separate you from Christ or to harm your soul when you are in Christ. Earth became heaven because Christ came down to us and then lifted us up, and where Christ reigns, the evil one is already defeated. So we do not pray in our own strength, but in the name of Jesus Christ, asking Him to rebuke evil and to guard you, as He alone can.

You also asked whether your prayers are being blocked because of sin or unrighteousness. Scripture does teach that cherishing sin, refusing to help the poor, or holding fast to unforgiveness can hinder our fellowship with God. The best path is first to avoid sin, and the next is to feel that we have sinned and to truly amend our ways. Do not remain in vague guilt, fearing unknown reasons that might block your prayers. Instead, tell your offenses to God in particular, naming what you know, so that you may learn for what you receive forgiveness and become truly grateful to your Benefactor. The Scripture says, blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven and whose sins are covered. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us through Jesus Christ alone, who is the only way of salvation. There is no need to live under a cloud of unnamed guilt. Bring what you know before Him, and trust His mercy for what you do not yet see. He also teaches us that we often do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Holy Spirit helps us, and the prayers of others help sustain us.

You asked for healing of any unforgiveness in you, and that is a right and good prayer. We are forgiven much, and we are called to forgive as we have been forgiven. Ask God to soften your heart toward anyone who has wronged you, not because the wrong did not matter, but because you have received great mercy and you desire to live in the peace of Christ. A clear conscience before God, knowing you have not held onto bitterness, brings great comfort even in suffering.

And that peace is what you are seeking, and what Christ gives. Peace is the mother of all good things and the foundation of joy. When Christ was born the angels proclaimed glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, good will to men, because heaven was no longer a wall of partition. Christ Himself said, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you. This is not merely the absence of trouble, but reconciliation with God and wholeness within. Where peace is present, the whole soul is kept in order. We pray for that peace to guard your mind and heart, for the angel of peace to watch over you, and for rest that only Christ can give to those who are weary and burdened.

So let me pray for you now.

Heavenly Father, thank You for this day and for Your mercy that is new every morning. Thank You for the gift of Your Son Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have forgiveness and access to You. I lift up this dear one to You who is longing for deliverance, rest, and peace. Forgive all sins, those known and those not yet seen, and cleanse through the blood of Christ. Heal any place of unforgiveness and teach a heart of gentleness and mercy. Rebuke all evil that harasses and oppresses, and remove its power. Grant mercy, freedom, and deep rest in Christ. Let Your peace, which passes all understanding, guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Give quiet sleep, a calm conscience, and joy in the Holy Spirit, which is righteousness and peace and joy. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
