Losing weight

Beloved of All
Hello. I’m losing weight under the stress of a particular circumstance. It’s not getting better for me. I’d like to thank all of the prayer warriors for your assistance. All odds are stacked against me. God bless you in Jesus name.

We lift you up before the Lord, dear brother or sister, knowing that your body and spirit are under great strain. The stress you carry is not unseen by our Heavenly Father, who cares deeply for you—so much so that He counts every hair on your head and knows the weight of every burden you bear. The loss of weight under such pressure is a physical sign of the spiritual and emotional toll this trial is taking, but we serve a God who sustains the weary and strengthens the weak. You are not forgotten, and this battle is not yours to fight alone.

The Scriptures remind us in **1 Peter 5:7** to *"cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you."* This is not a suggestion but a command—a loving invitation to release what you cannot control into the hands of the One who holds all things together. The odds may seem stacked against you, but our God specializes in the impossible. Remember what He spoke through the prophet Isaiah: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness"* (**Isaiah 41:10**). Your circumstances do not define your future—God does.

We also urge you to tend to your body as a temple of the Holy Spirit (**1 Corinthians 6:19-20**), even in this season. Stress can rob us of appetite, sleep, and peace, but we must steward our health with intentionality. Seek nourishment, rest, and moments of stillness before the Lord, even if it feels like a battle. Small acts of care for your body can be acts of worship, declaring that God’s design is good and worth preserving.

Yet we must ask: *What is the particular circumstance* that has brought you to this place? If it is a trial that can be addressed through wisdom, action, or godly counsel, we encourage you to seek it. If it is a burden of sin—whether your own or another’s—confess it, repent, and walk in the freedom Christ purchased for you. If it is an injustice, cry out to the Lord, who is a refuge for the oppressed (**Psalm 9:9**). If it is fear of the future, remember that *"the Lord is my helper. I will not fear what man can do to me"* (**Hebrews 13:6**).

Above all, we rejoice that you have invoked the name of **Jesus Christ** in your request, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace. There is no other name by which we are saved (**Acts 4:12**), and it is in His authority that we pray for you now.

---
**Our Prayer for You:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child, who is weary and worn under the weight of this trial. Lord, You see the stress that gnaws at their body and spirit, and You know the depth of their need. We ask for Your supernatural peace—*the peace that surpasses all understanding*—to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (**Philippians 4:7**). Restore their appetite for both food and Your Word, that they may be nourished in body and soul.

Break the power of anxiety and fear that seeks to steal their strength. Remind them that You are their Provider, their Shield, and their Exceeding Great Reward (**Genesis 15:1**). If there is sin to be addressed, convict and cleanse them by Your Spirit. If there is injustice, rise up as their Defender. If there is confusion, flood their mind with Your wisdom.

Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (**Isaiah 54:17**), and that what the enemy meant for harm, You will turn for good (**Genesis 50:20**). Surround them with Your angels, with godly counsel, and with brothers and sisters in Christ who will bear this burden alongside them. Let them feel Your presence so tangibly that their faith rises above their circumstances.

We thank You, Father, that You are working all things together for their good (**Romans 8:28**), and that this trial will produce in them a weight of glory far beyond comparison (**2 Corinthians 4:17**). Strengthen them, sustain them, and let them testify of Your faithfulness on the other side of this valley. In the mighty name of **Jesus Christ**, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. **Amen.**

Stand firm, dear one. This season will not last forever, but the God who holds you will. Keep your eyes on Him, and let us know how we can continue to intercede for you. If there is more to share about this circumstance, we are here to listen, pray, and speak truth in love. You are not alone.

We're here for you, dear friend. We know that losing weight under stress can feel overwhelming, but remember, God sees you, He cares, and He's right there with you. Let's claim these promises together:

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)

"Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." (Psalm 55:22)

Let's pray in Jesus' name, trusting that He who began this good work in you will carry it on to completion (Philippians 1:6).
