Losing it all

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I’m so confused right now. I may have to be evicted. I am very very upset right now. I feel abandoned and misled. I thought that God would help me but He didn’t. I’m losing weight, can’t find work, and my health is deteriorating. Getting wrong advice and illnesses is just it. Tired of praying and no answers or things getting worse. I have no money left and waiting in God’s timing is not helping me. Every day that goes by I get deeper in debt. I should file bankruptcy or find alternative solutions. Please don’t tell me that “I’m sorry that you’re going through this” as that doesn't pay the rent or bills. I’m done.

We hear the depth of your despair, and our hearts ache with you in this overwhelming storm. You are not alone—though it may feel that way, the Lord sees your struggle, and we stand with you in prayer and truth. First, let us address the pain in your words: *"I thought that God would help me but He didn’t."* Beloved, God *has* helped you—He sent His Son to die for you, to break the power of sin and death, and to offer you eternal hope. But His ways are not our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9), and His timing is perfect, even when it feels unbearable. The silence you perceive is not abandonment; it is the refining fire of a Father who loves you too much to leave you unchanged (1 Peter 1:6-7).

You are weary of waiting, and we understand. Yet Scripture warns us not to grow weary in doing good, for in due season we *will* reap if we do not faint (Galatians 6:9). This is not a hollow platitude—it is a promise. But waiting does not mean passivity. The Lord calls us to act in wisdom while trusting Him. Have you sought counsel from your church or a biblical financial ministry? Proverbs 15:22 says, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* Bankruptcy may be a tool, but it should be a last resort after all other godly avenues—budgeting, negotiating with creditors, or even temporary assistance—have been exhausted.

Your health is deteriorating, and that is a serious matter. Have you reached out to local Christian clinics or ministries that provide medical care for those in need? James 5:14-15 instructs us: *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord."* Do not neglect this. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and caring for it is an act of worship.

Now, let us rebuke the lies you are believing. The enemy wants you to think God has failed you, but that is a deception. Jesus said, *"I will never leave you nor forsake you"* (Hebrews 13:5). The fact that you are still standing—still crying out—proves His faithfulness. The weight loss, the debt, the fear—these are not evidence of God’s absence but of a battle that *He* has already won. You are not "done." You are in the valley, but valleys have exits. Psalm 23:4 says, *"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me."*

We must also address the spiritual root of this struggle. Have you examined your heart for unforgiveness, bitterness, or unrepentant sin? These can hinder our prayers (Psalm 66:18). Not every trial is a result of sin, but we must ask the Holy Spirit to search us (Psalm 139:23-24). If there is anything separating you from God’s full blessing, confess it and turn from it. His mercy is greater than our failures.

And to the core of your request: You need *action*, not just sympathy. Here is what we will do together:
1. **Pray for provision**—not just for money, but for wisdom to steward what God provides (James 1:5).
2. **Pray for favor**—with employers, landlords, and creditors (Proverbs 3:4).
3. **Pray for healing**—spiritually, emotionally, and physically (Jeremiah 30:17).
4. **Pray for community**—so you are not alone in this (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10).

Let us pray now:

*"Father in Heaven, we come before You broken for our brother/sister in this battle. You see the tears, the sleepless nights, the mounting bills, and the fear that threatens to overwhelm. Lord, Your Word says You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We declare that truth over them now. Jesus, You fed the five thousand with a boy’s lunch—nothing is too small for You. You calmed the storm with a word—nothing is too chaotic for You. You raised Lazarus from the dead—nothing is too hopeless for You. So we ask for a miracle of provision, a miracle of open doors, a miracle of healing. Give them wisdom to navigate this crisis, and soften the hearts of those who can help. Expose the lies of the enemy that say You have abandoned them. Remind them that You are the God who sees (Genesis 16:13) and the God who provides (Genesis 22:14). Strengthen their faith when it wavers, and let them feel Your presence in tangible ways. We rebuke the spirit of poverty and lack in Jesus’ name. We declare that their latter end will be greater than their beginning (Job 42:12). And Lord, if there is any sin or unforgiveness blocking Your blessing, reveal it so it can be dealt with. We trust You to turn this valley into a testimony. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen."*

Now, take one step today—just one. Apply for one job. Call one creditor to negotiate. Visit one church or ministry for help. And when you pray, do not just ask for relief; ask for *eyes to see* God’s hand in the waiting. He is working, even when you cannot see it. We are standing with you. You are not forgotten.

We hear your cry, dear friend, and we're here to walk with you through this storm. It's true, God has helped you - He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for you and offer you eternal hope. But remember, His ways are not always our ways, and His timing is perfect, even when it's hard to see. You're not alone, and you're not abandoned. God is with you, refining you like a loving Father.

We understand your weariness, but let's not grow weary in doing good. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep acting wisely. Have you sought counsel from your church or a financial ministry? Proverbs 15:22 tells us, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail, but in a multitude of counselors, they are established." Bankruptcy might be an option, but it should be a last resort after exploring all other godly avenues.

Your health is a serious matter. Have you reached out to local Christian clinics or ministries for help? Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and caring for it is an act of worship.

Now, let's address the lies you're believing. God hasn't failed you; He's still with you, and He'll never leave you nor forsake you. The battle is real, but it's not too big for God. You're in the valley, but valleys have exits. Psalm 23:4 says, "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me."

Let's also examine our hearts. Have we forgiven others as we've been forgiven? Is there any unrepentant sin hindering our prayers? If so, let's confess it and turn from it. God's mercy is greater than our failures.

Here's what we're going to do together: we're going to pray for provision, favor, healing, and community. We're also going to encourage you to take one step today - just one. And when you pray, ask for eyes to see God's hand in the waiting. He's working, even when you can't see it.

We're standing with you, dear friend. You're not forgotten. Let's trust God together, one step at a time. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We want you to know how deeply we have carried your burden in our hearts these past days. Your pain and confusion have not been overlooked, and we have lifted each detail before the Lord—your housing situation, the weight loss, the lack of work, the mounting debt, and the weariness of waiting for a breakthrough that feels delayed. We have prayed for provision that arrives before eviction, for wisdom that cuts through the noise of wrong advice, and for healing that restores your strength when illness presses in.

We also prayed for something even more foundational: that you would sense God’s nearness in the silence, that His presence would become more real than the bills on the table or the empty cupboards. It’s okay to be honest with Him about feeling abandoned—He can handle your raw questions and frustration. We asked Him to meet you in the waiting, not just with answers, but with Himself.

If any doors have opened since you posted—even a small one like a meal from a neighbor, a call back about a job, or a moment of unexpected peace—we’d love to celebrate that with you. But if the weight feels just as heavy today as it did before, we’re not walking away. Post this request again if you need to, and we’ll keep standing with you, believing that God sees what you’re going through and is at work even when the timeline doesn’t make sense.

You’re not forgotten, and you’re not alone in this. We’ll keep praying for tangible help to arrive, for clarity about next steps like bankruptcy or other solutions, and for the kind of hope that doesn’t depend on circumstances. May God remind you in this season that His timing isn’t cruel—it’s often where He does His deepest work. In Jesus’ Name.
