πŸ™"Give us our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For it’s Your Kingdom, Power and Glory Forever, Amen,” Matt 6:9-13, c.f., Matt 6:33, "But seek first The Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, then all these other things shall be added to you," thank You in Jesus' Name.

We thank you for sharing this beautiful reflection on the pattern our Lord Jesus gave us for prayer and we join with you in seeking first our Father and His glory.

We love how you have highlighted the divine order in Matt 6:9-13. Jesus teaches us to begin not with our own needs but with adoration and surrender, Pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth. Only after our hearts are aligned with His honor, His Kingdom and His will do we then bring our daily provision, our need for forgiveness and our need to forgive others, and our plea to be kept from sin and delivered from evil. This order is not accidental, it teaches us that worship and submission must come before petition.

This is exactly what Jesus means in Matt 6:33, But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. When we put Him first, He faithfully cares for all the rest. We are also reminded in Matt 22:37, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind, and that love is expressed first in prayer by hallowing His name.

We are grateful you closed in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him we have access to the Father. As Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To hallow the Father's name and to seek His Kingdom is to come through His Son.

We pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we hallow Your holy name together and we thank You that through Jesus Christ we can call You Father. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done in our lives and on this earth as it is in heaven. We surrender our own wills to Yours. We ask You to give us today our daily bread, providing for every need according to Your riches in glory. Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, create in us clean hearts that release others as You have released us, and teach us to walk in mercy. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one, keep our feet from sin and guard us from evil. For Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever, amen.

We encourage you to continue to make this pattern your standard each day, beginning prayer with worship and surrender, trusting that as you seek Him first, He will add all that you need and keep you in His righteousness. We join you in praying that this Kingdom focused prayer would shape every part of your life and the lives of those you love, in Jesus name.

We were glad to read your thanksgiving and the way you are holding onto the Lord's Prayer as a pattern for seeking Him first.

What you described stands out to us, starting with the Father, His name and His kingdom and His will, and then bringing our daily needs, our need for forgiveness and to forgive, and our need to be kept from evil. That order has a way of steadying us when daily pressures feel loud. It reminds us who we are coming to before we list what we need.

If it is helpful this week, you might try praying through that same pattern slowly in the morning, pausing on each phrase as your own prayer rather than rushing through it. Just a few unhurried minutes to rest in who the Father is before bringing the day's provision and relationships before Him can make that thanksgiving you expressed even more personal.

We join you in gratitude for the way He teaches us to pray and to seek Him first.

Father, we thank You for being our Father in heaven and for inviting us to come to You. Thank You for Your kingdom and for Your faithful care for our daily needs, for forgiving us and helping us to forgive, and for keeping us. We praise You for the peace of seeking You first and we ask You to keep drawing this dear one closer to You day by day. In Jesus' name, Amen.

What a blessed pattern our Lord has given us in that prayer which you have quoted, and how wisely you have noted its sacred order. Our Saviour would have us seek first the Father, His name, His kingdom, His will, and then to bring our own need before Him. In that holy of holies of the Word of God, where the Son speaks with the Father in closest fellowship of love, we are taught that worship must go before want, and adoration before petition.

You have asked aright. Hallowed be Your name comes first, for what is the use of preaching or praying if it does not glorify God. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven, this is the great desire of every sanctified heart. Holiness is an essential qualification for usefulness in the kingdom, and our Lord prayed, Sanctify them through thy truth, thy word is truth. When we pray thus we ask that we ourselves may be made holy, and that the reign of Christ may come in our own souls, in our homes, and throughout all the earth.

Then, and only then, comes our daily bread. How sweet to remember that He who is mighty on His knees is mighty everywhere, yet he who neglects prayer will find all his spiritual powers wax weak. Your Father knows you have need of daily provision, and He would have you cast all your cares upon Him and come away rejoicing, for deliverance is of the Lord though it be accomplished by human instrumentality. Ask for bread for today, and trust Him for tomorrow.

Then you pray, Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. There is forgiveness with Him, that He may be feared. It is a divine forgiveness, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. It is complete and it is eternal, obtained only from God through Jesus Christ His Son. Would Christ have put these words into your mouth if there were no pardon. But there is forgiveness, at this moment there is forgiveness, and the very prayer that teaches you to ask for mercy bids you say, as we forgive. Unless you have forgiven others you read your own death warrant when you repeat the Lord's prayer, but when you have tasted so much manifest forgiveness, to forgive others ought to be as natural as to open your hands.

Then you pray, Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. This is the cry of a soul that knows its own weakness and the subtlety of the adversary. Satan will whisper that God has forsaken you and that prayer is a waste of words, but go and pour out your sorrows into your Father's ear. He has promised deliverance from the archers that would beset you, and He will keep you from falling.

And you close as you began, with the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory forever. Your Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom, and Your dominion endures throughout all generations. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these other things shall be added unto you.

We join our prayers with yours, that the Lord would sanctify you through His truth, supply your daily need, grant you the joy of full and free forgiveness through the blood of Christ, keep you from temptation, and deliver you from evil, and that in all things His name may be hallowed and His will be done in your life as it is in heaven. We wish for you the highest and the best prosperity that we desire for ourselves, even that you may abide in Christ to the full, and so abide in union with Him who alone is the way of salvation. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer keeps the right order as Christ taught, to seek first the Father, His name, His kingdom and His will, and then to bring our own needs before Him.

We join you in praying as He commanded, Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We ask with you that you would seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, trusting that all other things will be added as He sees fit.

We pray that He will give you daily bread, what is needed for health and for life, and keep you from making provision for excess or wantonness, but to be content with what sustains you for His service. We give thanks with you, for every prayer should be accompanied with thanksgiving for His mercy.

We pray that He will forgive your debts as you forgive your debtors. As you have been counted worthy of so great forgiveness, being brought from darkness into adoption as sons and into the kingdom, so may you extend that same mercy to others, not praying against anyone but forgiving from the heart, that you may be forgiven.

We pray that He will not let you be led into temptation but will deliver you from evil. When temptation comes, remember that God is faithful and will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear, but will with the temptation make the way of escape that you may be able to endure it. He gives patience and brings release, and He draws you to Himself so that you will flee to Him and remain with Him.

Persevere in this prayer, early and by night, for prayer is a great weapon for the daily fight. Whether you receive quickly or whether He delays to train you to persevere, continue to ask, and if you have received, continue to give thanks. May your heart be bruised and earnest before Him, looking to Him with the eyes of your mind, and may His kingdom and power and glory be yours forever in Jesus name, Amen.
