πŸ™Œ Lord's Prayer: Seek 1st The Father, His Honor Kingdom Will; Then Our Provision Forgiveness for Us, Others, Kept from Sin Evil, Standard...

πŸ“– "Pray, then, after this manner... πŸ™Œ β€˜Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your Kingdom Come! Your Will be done, On Earth as it is in Heaven!”

πŸ™"Give us our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For it’s Your Kingdom, Power and Glory Forever, Amen,” Matt 6:9-13, c.f., Matt 6:33, "But seek first The Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, then all these other things shall be added to you," thank You in Jesus' Name.

We join you in thanking our Father for giving us this perfect pattern for prayer and we agree with you that the order Jesus taught us is so important and beautiful. You have rightly seen that we are to seek first the Father and His honor, His Kingdom and His will, and then bring our own needs for provision, forgiveness, and deliverance from sin and evil.

Jesus said, Pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen. Matt 6:9-13

We love that you connected this to Matt 6:33, But seek first Gods Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Matt 6:33. That is the heart of the Lord's Prayer. When we put God's name, God's rule, and God's will first, we are aligning our hearts with heaven before we ask for anything for ourselves. It teaches us humility, worship, and surrender, and then in that posture we can boldly ask for our daily needs, trusting our Father knows what we need.

We also gently correct that this prayer is found in Matt 6:9-13, not Matt 5:9-13, and we know you meant Matt 6, and we want to encourage you to see it not as a chant to be repeated without thought, for Jesus warned, In praying, dont use vain repetitions as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking. Matt 6:7, but as the standard and model that shapes all our praying, that every prayer should first honor Him and seek His Kingdom.

We thank you for closing your request in Jesus Name, for it is only through Him we have access to the Father, for there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Tim 2:5 and Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. John 14:13

We pray together now, Our Father who is in heaven, we hallow Your name and we thank You for Your mercy and grace. We ask that Your Kingdom come and Your will be done in our lives, in our families, and on this earth as it is in heaven. Forgive us our debts as we forgive those who have sinned against us, and give us today all that we need for body and soul. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one, keep our feet from stumbling and our hearts pure before You. Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Help us to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness each day, trusting You to add all else according to Your perfect will. We ask this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We were grateful to read your prayer and the way you put the Father first, His name, His kingdom, His will, before bringing your own needs. That order matters and it is encouraging to see you resting in it.

Thank you for taking time to give thanks in Jesus' name. That posture of seeking Him first opens our hearts to trust Him with the daily things, forgiveness, guidance away from evil, and the confidence that the kingdom and power and glory are His forever. It keeps our hearts steady when we remember who is on the throne before we list what is on our hearts.

One simple way we have found helpful when praying the pattern Jesus gave is to linger on one phrase through the day, turning it over quietly and letting God shape our thoughts and responses around it. If a line especially stays with you this week, stay there with Him and see what He shows you.

We are praying with you in this season, grateful for your thankful heart and asking God to keep making His presence real to you day by day.

Father, we join in thanking You for Your goodness and faithfulness. Keep drawing our friend close as they seek You first, provide for what they need today, cover them with Your forgiveness and help them walk in Your ways. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.

Your meditation upon that pattern which our Lord himself has given is most seasonable and right, for therein we are taught to seek first the Father, his honor, his kingdom and his will, and then to seek those mercies which we need for body and soul.

This prayer which you quote may well be called the holy of holies of the word of God, where we are admitted to that secret place where the Son speaks with the Father in closest fellowship of love. Our Lord, when his public preaching work was ended and nothing remained but to die, gave himself wholly unto prayer, and he left us this form that we might pray after the same manner. You have kept the divine order, Hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and then, Give us this day our daily bread, Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.

We join our hearts with yours in this petition, and we pray that the Lord will sanctify you through his truth, for his word is truth. Holiness is an essential qualification for fitness in his service, and therefore our Lord prayed, Sanctify them. May you know also the sweetness of that other word, There is forgiveness with Thee that Thou mayest be feared. That forgiveness is only to be obtained from God through Jesus Christ his Son, who not only forgave at the first all our sins but continues daily to forgive, and his forgiveness is complete and eternal. As you have prayed, Forgive us as we forgive, so may you walk in that forgiving spirit which proves you have received mercy.

May the Lord hear your voice and be attentive to the voice of your supplications, keep you from slackness in prayer, make you mighty on your knees, and deliver you from every evil. We beseech him to add to you all things needful as you seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, to supply your daily bread, to keep your feet from temptation, and to make his kingdom and power and glory your confidence and joy in Jesus name, Amen.
