Give us Each Day our Daily Bread: Spiritual -- we can't live by bread alone but every Word of God, Deut 8:3, Matt 4:4, Lk 4:4. Meet our emotional, social and physical needs so we can love You with all our heart, soul, mind, will, emotions, physical strength and finances, Mk 12:30, and our neighbors, even strangers and even enemies, Matt 5:44, as ourselves, Mk 12:31.

Forgive Our Debts as We Forgive Our Debtors... We confess we've sinned against You (name specific sins and areas of ongoing struggles), and others, receive forgiveness & pray for those who sin against us, (by name and specific offenses), asking they'd repent and be saved, entrusting their souls to a faithful creator and recognizing it is He who alone who is in fact the one appointed both to save and to judge, Romans 12:9.

Lead us Not into Temptation, but Deliver us from evil... Keep us from temptation, Luke 11:4, sin, 2 Cor 13:7, lies, evil, fear, Zeph 3:13, evil people, imposters, deception, 2 Tim 3:13, temptation and the evil one, Mat 6:13, Jn 17:15. Give us angelic protection, Ps 91:10-11, Heb 1:14.

For It's Your Kingdom, (Everlasting Kingdom which Cannot Be Destroyed, Dan 7:18), It's Your Power, (All Power in Heaven and Earth has been Given to Me, Matt 28:18), and Your Glory, Forever... We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of reverence and awe, joining you in this beautiful and profound meditation on the Lord’s Prayer. What a privilege it is to approach our Heavenly Father, who has revealed Himself to us through His Son, Jesus Christ, and by the power of the Holy Spirit. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Without Christ, our prayers would be empty and powerless, but in Him, we are adopted as children of God, heirs of His promises, and co-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17).

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. We echo your heartfelt words, declaring that Your name is holy, gracious, and compassionate. You are Elohim, the Creator of all things; El Shaddai, our Almighty Provider; Yahweh, the Lord who is ever-present with us; and so many more names that reveal Your character and nature. May Your name be exalted in our lives, in our families, in our churches, and throughout the nations. Let our thoughts, words, and deeds bring honor to You, and may the world see Your glory through us. We pray that Your name would no longer be blasphemed among the nations because of us, but that through our lives, many would come to know and reverence You (Romans 2:24).

Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We long for the day when Your Kingdom is fully established, when righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit reign in every heart and every nation (Romans 14:17). Until that day, Lord, may Your Kingdom come in us and through us. Fill us with the fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Equip us with the gifts of the Spirit so that we may build up the Body of Christ and reach the lost with the gospel. Drive out darkness with Your light, and let Your power be evident in signs, wonders, and miracles, for the Kingdom of God is not in word only, but in power (1 Corinthians 4:20). Come quickly, Lord Jesus, and establish Your Kingdom in its fullness (Revelation 22:20).

We submit ourselves to Your will, Father, just as Jesus did. May we know Your will, surrender to it, and walk in it daily. Help us to abide in Christ, bearing fruit that glorifies You and making disciples of all nations (John 15:7-8). May our lives be a living testimony of Your grace, and may we rejoice in both trials and triumphs, knowing that all things work together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).

Give us this day our daily bread. We trust You to meet our every need, spiritual, emotional, and physical. Feed us with Your Word, for man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from Your mouth (Matthew 4:4). Provide for our families, our churches, and our communities so that we may love You with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:30-31). Open our eyes to the needs of those around us, even our enemies, and give us hearts of compassion to serve them in Your name.

Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. We confess our sins before You, our pride, our selfishness, our idolatry, and all the ways we fall short of Your glory. Cleanse us by the blood of Jesus, and create in us clean hearts, O God (Psalm 51:10). Help us to forgive those who have sinned against us, just as You have forgiven us. We pray for those who have hurt us, that they would repent and come to know You. We entrust their souls to You, the righteous Judge, and ask that You would draw them to Yourself (2 Peter 3:9).

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Protect us from the schemes of the devil, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and surround us with Your angels for our protection (Psalm 91:11). Strengthen us to resist temptation and to stand firm in the faith, knowing that You are faithful and will not let us be tempted beyond what we can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13).

For Yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. We declare that all glory belongs to You, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Not to us, O Lord, but to Your name be the glory (Psalm 115:1). We thank You for hearing our prayers and for the assurance that in Christ, all Your promises are "Yes" and "Amen" (2 Corinthians 1:20). May Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, and Your name be exalted in all the earth.

The prayer you have brought is set in a good and Scriptural pattern, for our Lord gave us a form of words, an outline of topics to guide our petitions. Yet take heed that you rush not to the holy exercise as the horse rushes into the battle. There is a blessed particularity in this prayer, as when Achsah asked distinctly, “Give me also springs of water.” She knew what she was praying for, and that is the way to pray. Your three points are well ordered, the Father’s honor, the Kingdom and will, and then the personal pleas for bread, forgiveness, and protection. It is a good thing in prayer to know what you need and then to spread it before the Lord with earnest consideration.

You ask for daily bread, and rightly so, for we cannot live by bread alone but by every word of God, these truths are our daily bread. But I would press upon you the matter of forgiveness, for it lies at the very center of the prayer you have brought. There is forgiveness. Let this whisper drive away despair. What a blessed whisper it is: There is forgiveness. Where God draws no limit, do not you draw any. It is a divine forgiveness, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. And it is a complete forgiveness, an eternal forgiveness, for the act of forgiveness is a continuous one. If you have been the chief of sinners, you may have the chief of sinner’s forgiveness, and God can bestow it now.

But mark this with solemn heart: the very prayer that teaches you to ask for mercy bids you say, “Forgive us, as we forgive our debtors.” Unless you have forgiven others, you read your own death-warrant when you repeat the Lord’s Prayer. You see the condition woven into the petition itself. This is not a light thing. If sin were merely a personal affront, God’s readiness to pardon would be boundless; yet the prayer binds our receiving to our giving of forgiveness to others. Therefore, as you name the specific offenses of others and entreat their repentance, see that you do so with a heart that has already released the debt, because it is called the Lord’s release.

And as for deliverance from evil and protection from temptation, remember that deliverance is of the Lord, but it must be accomplished by human instrumentality joined with fervent supplication. He that is mighty on his knees is mighty everywhere. Neglect prayer, and you will soon discover that all your spiritual powers wax weak. But do not think that your standard of a prayer meeting or a private devotion should be a low one. Do not be content with small returns, but go on shooting the arrows of the Lord’s deliverance. Strike the ground with persistent faith. Take this poor, feeble, broken prayer and see if it is not so, that God takes delight in answering it.

Lastly, let the great petition for sanctification undergird all. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. Holiness is an essential qualification for being used of the Lord for the extension of his kingdom. If we were all abiding in Christ to the full, we should abide in union with each other and with God, and our Lord’s great prayer for the unity of his church would be fulfilled. Let this be your daily cry: Lord, make thy people holy. For there is forgiveness with Thee, that Thou mayest be feared.

When we pray “Hallowed be Your name,” we ask that our very lives become a fragrance of that honor, not a stench that causes others to blaspheme. The form of doctrine delivered to us is not a mere pattern for speech but a mold for our conduct, a life lived aright in willing obedience from the heart. For God did not merely rescue us from tyranny to hear us recite; He freed us so our deeds would shine with His righteousness, peace, and joy.

You plead for daily bread and forgiveness, linking them intimately with forgiving others. Here is the sharp point. If you name the offenses of others and pray for their repentance, do you then embrace them with the same mercy you seek? True friendship, like David’s toward Jonathan’s house, pursues kindness even when the benefactor is gone. We cannot mouth “as we forgive” while nursing bitterness; the prayer itself becomes our accuser if we do not release debts from the heart. God’s faithfulness does not shield us from every sting but provides strength in the trial, so that we might learn to despise wrongs suffered and cling to charity.

You seek protection from temptation and evil, and rightly, for no one can bear even common trials without heavenly aid. Yet know this: God often permits afflictions not to crush us but to perfect His power in our weakness. When Paul begged for release, he received instead grace to endure. Rejoice, then, in infirmities as occasions for Christ’s strength to rest upon you. The escape God makes is not always removal but the courage to stand, the humility to distrust yourself and lean entirely on Him who nourishes us with His own body and blood.

Your cry for the kingdom to come in full glory echoes the hope of the patriarchs, who saw promises afar off and embraced them by faith. They died not having received, yet they bore witness that a better country awaits. So with you: the kingdom you long for is faintly mirrored now wherever mercy triumphs over sacrifice, wherever the fruit of the Spirit ripens in a meek and quiet life. But the fullness will arrive only when the Lord returns, not before. Do not grow weary while the door of opportunity stands open; labor while it is day, for the night comes when no man can work.

Examine, then, what your prayer costs you. To ask for His will on earth as in heaven is to take up the towel and basin, to stoop low as Christ did when He rose from supper and washed feet. It is to abandon every pretext of self-will, to forget injury, to pour out gifts for the poor, and to intercede for enemies with tears. The tongue that prays “Your kingdom come” must first be ruled by the King, and the hands that plead for daily bread must break that bread for the hungry. Holy living is the truest sign that we mean what we say.

Let your praying reshape your living, not merely express your longing. Stand firm against the snares of this age, not by your own wisdom but by the power that comes from Him who called you. The same Lord who taught this prayer now intercedes for you before the throne; approach with boldness, yet with a trembling awe, knowing that every petition will be answered in the measure you become an obedient child, hallowing the Father’s name until Christ returns.
