Life Is So Difficult

I have been through so many difficult things, and sometimes I feel that life is just so hard. Especially recently, it seems that nothing has gone the way I had hoped, and I am also facing financial difficulties. Please pray that God will give me the courage and strength to keep going.

We hear the weariness in your words, and our hearts ache with you in this season of struggle. Life can indeed feel overwhelming when trials pile upon trials, financial strain, unmet hopes, and the weight of disappointment. But we want you to know this: you are not forgotten, and your pain is not unseen by the One who holds all things together. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18-19, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all." Even now, He is near to you, drawing close to your weary heart.

We also want to gently remind you that the name of Jesus is the only foundation strong enough to bear the weight of your burdens. In John 14:6, Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." It is only through Him that we have access to God’s throne of grace, where we can find mercy and help in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Christ, trusting in His sacrifice for your salvation and His power to sustain you. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and no other source of true strength.

Now, let us come together in prayer for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our dear brother/sister to You, who is carrying such a heavy load right now. Lord, You see every struggle, the financial pressures, the unmet hopes, the weariness of heart. We ask that You would be their strength when they are weak, their courage when they are afraid, and their hope when all seems lost. Remind them that You are the God who provides (Philippians 4:19), the God who restores (Joel 2:25), and the God who works all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Father, fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and help them to cast every anxiety upon You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Renew their spirit, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in tangible ways. Give them wisdom to navigate their financial challenges and the perseverance to keep pressing forward, knowing that You are their Provider and their Portion. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.

Friend, we want to encourage you with the truth that your current struggles do not define your future. The same God who parted the Red Sea, raised Jesus from the dead, and turned the apostle Paul’s life upside down is the same God who is with you today. He is not distant or indifferent to your pain, He is working, even when you cannot see it. Cling to Him, even if it’s just by whispering His name in the darkest moments. He hears you.

We also encourage you to seek out a community of believers who can walk alongside you. Isolation can make burdens feel heavier, but the body of Christ is designed to bear one another’s loads (Galatians 6:2). If you’re not already connected to a local church, we urge you to find one where you can be encouraged, prayed for, and supported. You do not have to walk this road alone.

Lastly, remember that trials, though painful, are not without purpose. James 1:2-4 tells us, "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." God is using this season to refine you, to deepen your dependence on Him, and to prepare you for the good works He has planned for you (Ephesians 2:10). Hold on, dear one. The dawn will come.

We hear how heavy this season feels, and we are sitting with you in it. When nothing goes as you hoped and money is tight, it can seem like courage is a resource you are supposed to produce on your own. It isn't. The strength to keep going often comes in very small, ordinary ways: a meal, a phone call, one honest conversation, sleep, a single bill paid. For the financial weight, it may help to let someone you trust help you look at the actual numbers, even if that feels exposing. A church deacon or a free budget counselor can sit with you so you are not carrying the arithmetic alone. But before all of that, we want you to know that God has not turned away from you. Hard circumstances do not mean he has stopped providing. We do not pretend the road is easy, but we do believe hope can grow even in a season like this, not because you feel stronger, but because God keeps meeting you in small mercies.

Father, you see this person's weariness and the weight of the financial strain. Grant the courage to face today and the strength for the next small step. Surround them with wise and kind help, and open a door of provision or clarity soon. Hold their heart steady when hope feels thin, and let them know they are not alone. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request has been laid before the throne of grace, and we do pray that the Lord will give you courage and strength to keep going. Life is indeed difficult, and when hopes are disappointed and money fails, the soul is worn thin. But the strength you need is not something you must work up within yourself; it comes from God alone. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. When there remains no strength in you, then fling yourself upon the divine strength and lay hold upon it, for the Lord Himself has said, I will strengthen them.

We will ask Him to supply your daily bread and to open a way through these financial straits. We will also ask Him to give you the greater grace of a settled confidence in His faithfulness. The work He has begun He will perform until the day of Christ, and the final perseverance of the saints rests not upon your grip on Him, but upon His grip on you. Do not look at all your difficulties as though you had to master them alone. Cry to Him as one without strength, for Christ died for the ungodly. Keep to secret communion with God, for it was secret communion which gave Daniel courage when outward circumstances were against him.

Take one hour at a time. His grace may come gradually, but it will come. We pray for you, that your heart may be strengthened with strength in the Lord, and that you may find Him faithful in the midst of every hard thing.

The weight you are carrying is real, and financial strain has a way of making every other burden feel heavier. You have asked for courage and strength, and that is the right request. The Apostle does not promise that those who belong to Christ are never pressed. He says we are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not driven to despair. God's grace does not always remove the pressure, but it keeps us from being destroyed by it.

Take courage from the greater things God has already done in Christ. Death has been trodden under foot, the devil has fallen, the law of sin is extinguished, and the grace of the Spirit is given. If God has done the impossible, He can be trusted with the difficult things, including your present need.

Persevere in prayer. The Canaanite woman heard the words, It is not right to take the children's bread and give it to dogs, yet she kept asking and received. The widow by her persistence prevailed. The Syrophoenician woman by her constancy called forth the Lord's compassion. Do not think that your unworthiness or your long trouble shuts you out. Often by perseverance we make ourselves worthy to receive.

I will pray with you, not only for relief but for courage and strength to keep going. Watch in all things and endure hardship. Bring your request to God at all times, not only in set moments. Do not hide your financial fears from Him; tell Him plainly. Remember that those who were scourged and persecuted, who suffered wrongs without number, were mighty before God. His strength is shown in those who endure.

Christ is the mediator of a new covenant by His death. Therefore we ought to be of good courage. You are not told to pretend the hardship is small; you are called to bring it to the One who has already conquered death. Keep knocking.

Let us ask together: Lord, You see Your servant pressed on every side. Give the courage that comes from Your Spirit, the strength to endure, and provision according to Your will. Teach this heart to persevere in prayer as the Canaanite woman did, and keep it from despair. Through Christ our mediator. Amen.

It has been a heavy season for you, and hearing how hard life feels right now moves us to pray with you. When nothing seems to go as you hoped and financial pressure weighs on you every day, it is understandable to feel weary and to wonder how you will keep going.

Scripture gives a different place to stand when our own resources feel small. It tells us that the Lord himself is our light, our salvation, our strength and our shield. Because He watches over His people and keeps them, we do not have to be overcome by fear even when circumstances are frightening. When we see our problems in the light of His power rather than in the light of our own weakness, we find a steadier footing. He is like a rock that is higher than we are, a place of shelter and security when our hearts are overwhelmed.

You mentioned feeling that your own strength is not enough. That is a place where God does some of His deepest work. The Bible says that blessed is the person whose strength is in the Lord, the one who has learned his own frailty and has learned to trust Him instead. His power is made perfect in our weakness. That does not mean the hard places disappear, but it means He meets us in them. There is a psalm that speaks of passing through the valley of weeping and finding that God turns it into a place of springs and pools, so that those who trust Him go from strength to strength. Even sorrowful ground can become a place of refreshment when our trust is in Him.

True strength is also found in belonging wholly to Him. Just as strength in the old stories was tied to a life set apart for God, our strength today flows from a committed walk with Him, not from trying harder in ourselves. If we faint in the day of adversity, it shows how small our own strength is. If we look within for some hidden reserve, we will eventually find it is not enough. But if we look to the Lord and lean on His strength, He does not let us down. He has promised to give strength to His people and to bless His people with peace.

Two simple habits help us receive that strength. One is His Word. When we take His promises into our hearts, they become our support in trial and change our outlook from defeat to confidence that He will give the victory He has promised. The other is prayer. Bringing every burden to Him is not a last resort, it is a place of strength where we are lifted from discouragement into trust.

So we pray for you now that God will be your strength day by day. May He strengthen your heart and give you courage as you put your hope in Him. May He provide for your financial needs according to His wisdom and care, and give you clear direction for each step ahead. May His Word become your daily portion and may He bless you with His peace that steadies you even while the pressures remain. May you know that He hears you, that He is near, and that He will keep His hand upon you and carry you through this valley.

You are not forgotten. The Lord who is your strength is with you, and we are asking Him to renew your courage and to sustain you one day at a time.
