Let it rain

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Father in heaven through your son Jesus let it rain down blessings on your daughter future spouse grandchildren all petitions posted. I ask for these things. A now former president once stated” it’s not what the country can do for us but what can we do for our country?” I agree with that but I say instead its not what god can do for us, which is every and anything, but what indeed can we do for him whose presence is always profound? 🙏🏾

We come before You, Heavenly Father, with hearts full of gratitude and reverence, acknowledging that every good and perfect gift comes from You (James 1:17). Your Word reminds us that we are to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, and all these things will be added to us (Matthew 6:33). We lift up this dear sister in Christ, her future spouse, her grandchildren, and all the petitions she has laid before You. Lord, we ask that You indeed let it rain down blessings upon them, blessings of wisdom, peace, provision, and divine favor. May Your presence be profound in their lives, guiding their steps and filling their hearts with joy and purpose.

We are reminded of the truth that our lives are not our own, but we are bought with a price, the precious blood of Your Son, Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). It is not about what we can receive from You, though You are generous beyond measure, but about how we can live in a way that honors and glorifies You. We echo the sentiment that it is not what God can do for us, but what we can do for Him, whose presence is always profound and whose love is everlasting. Let us be vessels of Your love, instruments of Your peace, and ambassadors of Your kingdom here on earth.

Father, we pray for this sister’s future spouse, that You would prepare him to be a godly husband, a man after Your own heart (1 Samuel 13:14). May he be a leader who loves sacrificially, as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25), and a man who seeks Your will in all things. For her grandchildren, we ask that You draw them close to You, that they would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior at a young age and walk in the fullness of Your purpose for their lives. For all the petitions she has brought before You, we trust that You hear and answer according to Your perfect will, which is always for our good and Your glory (Jeremiah 29:11).

Lord, we also lift up our nation before You. We confess that we have often sought our own ways rather than Yours, and we ask for Your mercy and forgiveness. Raise up leaders who fear You, who seek justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with You (Micah 6:8). Let Your people be salt and light in this world, shining Your truth and love in every sphere of influence (Matthew 5:13-16). May we, as Your children, be known for our love for one another and our obedience to Your Word (John 13:35).

We rebuke any spirit of entitlement or self-centeredness that may creep into our hearts, reminding ourselves that we are called to serve, not to be served (Mark 10:45). Let us be a people who lay down our lives for others, just as Christ laid down His life for us. May our actions reflect our gratitude for all You have done, and may we always remember that apart from You, we can do nothing (John 15:5).

Heavenly Father, we pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is through His name alone that we have access to You, and it is by His blood that we are forgiven and made new. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You for the gift of salvation and the privilege of coming before Your throne with boldness, knowing that You hear us and answer us according to Your will.

Lord, let Your rain of blessings fall upon this sister, her family, and all who call upon Your name. May Your Spirit move powerfully in their lives, drawing them closer to You and empowering them to live lives that bring glory to Your name. We trust in You, our Provider, our Protector, and our Peace. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

I received this message and prayer with gratitude bless up

We love the heart behind your prayer, not only asking the Father to rain down His blessings on your daughter, future spouse, grandchildren, and every petition here, but also turning the question toward what we can do for Him. That desire to honor God with your life is one of the truest ways we respond to His profound presence.

As you lift up these people you love, remember that you are already doing something precious for God: you are bringing them before His throne with faith. And often, His blessings flow through ordinary hands and voices like yours. A kind word, a steady presence, or a simple reminder of their worth in Christ, these are living blessings that echo His heart. The five biblical elements of a blessing include speaking value over someone, showing affection, and picturing a hopeful future with them. You may find quiet, everyday ways to bless your daughter and those you're praying for, which is a beautiful offering to the Lord.

We are praying right along with you. Father, we thank You for this dear woman's love for her family and her desire to serve You. In Jesus' name, we ask You to pour out provision, protection, and deep peace on her daughter, the husband You are preparing, her grandchildren, and every need lifted up here. Let them feel Your care tangibly. And stir in her fresh creativity to be a channel of Your goodness to them, for her joy and Your glory. Amen.

You speak of rain, and it is a good desire that the Lord should open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings upon your daughter, your future spouse, your grandchildren, and all the petitions that have been posted. But let us not only seek the showers, but the Giver of them, and above all the spiritual rain that makes the heart fruitful and the soul alive unto God. Temporal mercies are sweet while they last, yet they are passing things; but the blessing wherewith the Father has blessed us in Christ Jesus are eternal, heavenly, and sure. He has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places in Christ, a fullness of pardon, adoption, sanctification, and every good gift that cometh down from the Father of lights. These are the rarest, the richest, the most enduring blessings, and they all flow from His electing love, according as He has chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world. So when you plead for a rain of blessings, plead first that your loved ones may be found in Christ, and then all other mercies shall be added in their season.

And you have turned a common saying to a higher and holier purpose: "What indeed can we do for Him whose presence is always profound?" This is a speech that savoureth of a humble and grateful spirit. The great wonder is not so much that God gives to us, but that He condescends to receive anything from our hands. What can you do for Him? You can drink in the rain of His grace, and then yield back the fruits of righteousness to His honor. The earth, when the rain falls, does not keep it to itself, but returns green shoots, golden harvests, and the beauty of flowers. So it is with a soul visited by the Holy Spirit: as you receive the former and the latter rain, you give forth obedience, praise, trust, and a walk that pleases God. You can bless Him, "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits." You can love His Word, keep His statutes, and abide in communion with Christ. The husbandman waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and so does our heavenly Husbandman wait for the fruit of His vineyard.

Yet never forget that the clouds which bring the rain are often black. Your afflictions, though grievous for a moment, are big with mercy and shall break in blessings on your head. God knows how to send the rain when it is needed, and grace when it is needed, giving the former and the latter rain in their season. If you would do something for Him, then let your heart be a soil broken up by repentance, a soul hungering for the Bread of heaven. Christ is the cloud full of rain, and He empties Himself upon the earth; let Him shower down upon you and your household the blessings of the everlasting covenant. That love which He lavishes upon His Church is a special, particular love, and He delights in every soul that draws near to Him. The kiss of benediction meets the lips of petitioning when faith embraces the promises.

Go on, then, not only asking but receiving, not only seeking but serving. Let your daily walk be a psalm of gratitude, your home a temple of praise, and your petitions those of one who first says, "Lord, what wilt Thou have me to do?" For if the clouds are full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth, and so God's grace, when it fills the heart, must outwardly flow in lives of holiness and love. May the Lord's presence be your portion, and may you trace every stream of blessing back to the fountainhead of His everlasting love, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
