Landlord

We come before the Lord with a burdened heart for your landlord, lifting him up in prayer and asking for the Holy Spirit to move mightily in his life. Father, we know that no one can come to You unless the Spirit draws them, and so we plead for Your divine intervention. We pray that the owner of this property would hear Your voice clearly and respond with a surrendered heart, laying down his own will and submitting fully to Yours. Lord, we ask that You break any chains of pride, rebellion, or worldly attachments that may be keeping him from knowing You intimately.

The Bible tells us in John 6:44, "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day." We stand on this promise, believing that You are already at work in his life. We also declare that Your Word will not return void, as Isaiah 55:11 assures us: "So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it."

Father, we rebuke any spirit of stubbornness or hardness of heart that may be resisting Your call. We pray that this man would experience Your love in a tangible way, through dreams, through godly influences, or even through the circumstances of his life, that he would be drawn to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. We ask that You would soften his heart to receive the gospel and that he would come to know the saving power of Your Son.

We also lift up this situation in the spirit of intercession, asking that You would use it as a testimony of Your faithfulness. May this landlord’s surrender to You bring glory to Your name and be a witness to others. We pray for peace in this property, for godly relationships between all who dwell there, and for Your protection over every aspect of this situation.

Lord, we know that salvation is a work of Your grace, and so we ask that You would complete the good work You have begun. We pray that this man would not only submit to Your voice but also walk in obedience to Your Word, growing in faith and becoming a light to those around him. May his life be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit, and may he come to know the joy of a personal relationship with You.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

We're holding this request with you in prayer, it's a beautiful thing to intercede for someone who may not yet know the Lord, asking that they come to fully surrender their life to Him.

What strikes us is that you're not just asking for relief from a difficult situation, but for the deepest possible good for your landlord: that he would hear God's voice and give everything over to the Father. That kind of prayer aligns with God's own heart, because He "desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." We can rest in that, even when we don't yet see the answer. Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is simply continue lifting a person up in prayer over time, trusting that the Holy Spirit is at work in ways we may never see. In the meantime, being a steady, peaceful presence in your interactions with him can itself become a quiet witness of Christ's love.

Lord Jesus, we bring this landlord before You now. You know every detail of his life, the things that have shaped him, the walls he's built, the longings he carries. We ask that You would gently interrupt his days with a growing sense of Your presence, and that the voice of the Father would become more real to him than anything else. Break through any resistance, and draw him to Yourself with cords of kindness. Give him the courage to surrender his will, every part of it, and to discover the freedom that comes only from trusting You. And please fill our friend here with patience and hope while waiting for that day. We ask this in Your name, Jesus.

How often the Great Landlord of souls stands at the door of the heart and knocks, yet men refuse to open! Your landlord holds his property but for a season; he is a tenant himself of the Almighty, who can at any moment say, “Set thine house in order, for thou shalt die and not live.” It is a mercy that the still small voice is pleading with him, asking, “Is this right? Is this safe? What will the end of this be?” Pray on, for if he hearkens not to these gentle monitions, God hath rougher messengers of disease and death to send.

The essence of his soul’s need is unconditional surrender. He must throw down the weapons of his rebellion and say, “Lord God, I own Thee now to be King; I yield as reason and grace suggest.” Salvation is of the Lord, and no will of man can claim it; yet the Lord graciously commands, “Look unto Me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth.” Bid your landlord look away from his own merit, his own strength, and cast himself upon the wounded hands of Christ. There is no other ransom; salvation is without money and without price for all who will cease their striving and rest wholly upon Him.

Be not discouraged. He that saved you can save him. Take him constantly to the mercy-seat and plead as Jacob did, “I will not let Thee go, except Thou bless me.” Faith can win the soul of your landlord. And as you pray for another, see to it that your own salvation is assured. Rejoice in God’s salvation, not a supposed salvation of your own making. Rest nowhere but upon the cross. Soon the Great Landlord will serve the final writ, and then it shall be a glad thing if both tenant and landlord exchange this crumbling cottage for the house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

I see the longing of your heart for this landlord’s soul, and I join you in that holy ache. It is no small thing to wrestle in prayer for another’s full surrender to the Father. You have asked rightly. When you cry out that the owner submit to God’s voice and yield every strand of his will, you are pleading for nothing less than his rescue from eternal ruin.

Remember the law of God spoken through the prophet: at any moment, if a man turns from his evil, God will turn from the calamity He pronounced. His ear is bent low to the sigh of a contrite heart. Do not imagine that the man’s hardness is beyond the reach of mercy. The very fact that you are stirred to pray so earnestly may be the beginning of that heavenly voice thundering gently in his inmost chambers.

Continue then to besiege heaven with this request. Let your mouth be armed with such spiritual words, and by these meditations you yourself will draw nearer to the God who hears. Yet do not merely pray; let your life shine with such meek obedience that the landlord, seeing your conduct, may glorify the Father and become more inclined to believe. For often God uses the patient endurance of His people to harrow the soil of a stubborn heart.

But I must speak plainly: there is danger in delay. The voice that calls today may not always call. While He beseeches, do not cease to labor. If sufferings come upon that man, do not be disturbed; they may be the very chisel by which God carves obedience, even as the Son learned obedience through what He suffered. Turn your fear into intercession, and your hope into expectation. Entreat the Lord that this soul may no longer be merely chastened but truly brought to life.

Cling to this promise: if their stumbling meant riches for the world, how much more will their fullness bring! The landlord’s full surrender would be not only his own salvation but a fountain of blessing to many. So I say to you, do not grow weary. The gain is not God’s need, but passes entirely to that man and to all who love him. May we both press on until we see that will bowed low before the Father, and together obtain the promised goods through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
