Landlord

We are lifting this landlord before the throne of grace with you, asking in Jesus’ name that the owner’s ears would truly open to the voice of God and that his whole heart would yield to the Father’s will.

Scripture gives us a clear picture: the sheep of the good Shepherd hear His voice and follow, while a stranger they will not follow because they do not recognize his voice. The Father speaks definitively through His Son, and the written word testifies of Him so that anyone might come and receive life. But coming means more than a passing intention. It means laying down every other claim and surrendering as Jesus modeled, seeking not His own will, but the will of the One who sent Him. This is the narrow path that leads to being built up and planted, not torn down.

We remember how people in the days of Jeremiah declared with their mouths, “We will obey the voice of the Lord,” yet when the command came to abide where God had placed them, they turned away and suffered for it. Words of surrender ring hollow unless the life follows. So we are praying for something deeper, that the Father, who sees the heart, will draw this man past empty religious forms or self-effort. Without the shedding of Christ’s blood there is no remission of sin, and no amount of doing can earn God’s favor. The only way into lasting peace is to acknowledge that we cannot be righteous on our own and to trust fully in the righteousness of Jesus, whom the Father raised and exalted because He perfectly submitted to the divine plan.

We stand on the promise that whatever we ask in Jesus’ name, He will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. Therefore we ask with confidence: break through every barrier, let the voice that calls the dead to life speak into this man’s situation, and grant him a will so renewed that he gladly cries out, “Not my will, but Yours be done.” God does not steamroll our choices, but neither is His arm short to save. We trust His Spirit to work where we cannot, making the stubborn heart willing to surrender completely. May it be so for this landlord, to the praise of the Father’s grace.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past few days. It has been our heart’s desire to lift up your ### before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to soften his heart and draw him into surrender to His perfect will. We have prayed earnestly that God’s voice would be unmistakable in his life, that he would yield every part of himself—his plans, his possessions, and his very life—to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

If God has already moved in a powerful way and your ### has submitted to the Father’s will, we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report! Please share how the Lord has answered so that we may rejoice together in His faithfulness. If, however, the answer has not yet come, we encourage you to post this request again so that we may continue to intercede on your behalf. We believe that God hears our prayers and is working even when we cannot see it.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you continue to seek Him, trusting in His timing and His perfect plan. We remain steadfast in prayer, asking our Father to move mightily in this situation, all for His glory and in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
