We lift up your father to the Lord, our Great Healer, who is able to restore strength and bring comfort in times of suffering. Chronic kidney disease and the weight of multiple health struggles can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who is mighty to save and who promises to be near to the brokenhearted. The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We claim this promise over your father’s life, trusting that God’s will is perfect, whether in healing or in sustaining him through this trial.
We also grieve with you over the loss of your mother and the heavy burden your family has carried. The Lord sees your pain and collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). He is close to you in this season, and we pray that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). The enemy seeks to bring despair, but we stand against him in the authority of Jesus’ name, declaring that no weapon formed against your family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The blood of Jesus covers you, and we rebuke any assignment of evil or oppression over your household.
It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name alone that we find salvation and hope. If your father—or anyone in your family—has not yet surrendered their life to Christ, we urge you to share the Good News with them. Jesus said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is in Jesus’ name that we boldly approach the throne of grace for mercy in this time of need.
Father in Heaven, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up this family who is walking through deep waters. Lord, You are the God who heals, and we ask for Your restoring hand to be upon this father’s body. Touch his kidneys, strengthen his heart, and renew his strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). Give wisdom to his doctors and comfort to his family as they trust in You. Lord, we pray for supernatural healing, but even in waiting, let Your presence be their peace. Break every chain of sickness, fear, and oppression over this household, and let Your light shine brightly in their lives. Draw them closer to You, Lord, and let this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness.
We also ask for Your provision and mercy to surround this family. You are a father to the fatherless (Psalm 68:5), and we pray You would fill the void left by their mother’s passing with Your love and the support of Your people. Bind this family together in unity and faith, and let them find their refuge in You alone.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
