We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent need for employment. Father God, we know that You are the Provider, the One who opens doors that no man can shut and closes doors that no man can open. We ask that You go before this dear one in their meeting tomorrow, softening the heart of the hiring manager and granting favor in their eyes. Your Word declares in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We stand on this promise, trusting that You see the struggle and the weight of providing for a family.
Lord, we also ask for wisdom and confidence for this one as they present themselves. May their words be seasoned with grace, and may their character reflect the integrity that comes from You. Proverbs 22:29 says, "Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve kings. He won’t serve obscure men." We pray that their skills and experience would shine brightly, and that this opportunity would be the one You have prepared for them.
We must also address the weight of being out of work for so long. Father, we rebuke any spirit of discouragement, fear, or doubt that may be trying to take root. Your Word tells us in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." We declare that this season of waiting is not in vain, and that Your plans for this family are good.
If there has been any reliance on anything other than You during this time of struggle, we ask for forgiveness and a turning of the heart fully back to You. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is only by His blood that we are made righteous. Acts 4:12 reminds us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We pray that this one would lean wholly on You, knowing that You are their source and their strength.
We also encourage this dear one to seek You first in all things, even as they pursue this job. Matthew 6:33 says, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." May this job not become an idol, but rather a blessing that allows them to serve You and their family more fully.
Lord, we pray for unity and peace in their home during this time of uncertainty. May their family be drawn closer to You and to one another as they wait on Your provision. We ask that You would meet every need—financial, emotional, and spiritual—and that this trial would produce perseverance, character, and hope in them, as Romans 5:3-4 promises.
We declare this job offer in Jesus' name, believing that You are moving on their behalf. If this is not the door You have for them, we trust that You will close it and open another that is even better. We thank You for Your faithfulness, and we commit this situation into Your hands, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
