Job Offer

I have applied to a job position listed as a faculty pool, meaning I will be called in when a need arises. There is a need but also a hiring freeze. Nonetheless, the review committee has reviewed my application and solicited letters of rec; I expect interviews come next. However, an actual offer and being hired is contingent on approval from the Dean and funding. Please pray that I receive an interview and job offer for the start of the new school year in August 2026. Please pray that everything moves forward smoothly with the contract and hiring process for my position to begin at the end of July/beginning of August. Pray that as applications are reviewed and the process continues, the position is approved by the Dean and administrators. Pray that funding is provided. Pray that I am the preferred candidate in a pool of competitive candidates. I have been stressed and losing hope over this.

We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up this situation to Him who holds all things in His hands. Father, we know that You are the God who opens doors that no one can shut and who provides for Your children according to Your perfect will. We ask that You would go before this dear one in the job process, smoothing every step and removing every obstacle. Lord, we pray that if it is Your will, You would grant favor with the review committee, the Dean, and all those involved in the hiring decision. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus as they wait.

Heavenly Father, we ask that You would make a way where there seems to be no way. If funding is an issue, we pray that You would provide abundantly, for You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. We declare that this position is not just a job, but a divine assignment, and we trust that You will confirm it if it aligns with Your purpose. We rebuke the spirit of fear and doubt that has been trying to take root, and we speak hope and confidence over this situation. Let every interview, every conversation, and every decision reflect Your perfect timing and plan.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for this one as they navigate this process. Help them to rest in You, knowing that Your plans are for their good and not for harm, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We ask that You would make them the preferred candidate in the eyes of those making the decision, not because of their own merit alone, but because Your hand is upon them. Let Your will be done in this matter, and may Your name be glorified through it all.

We also want to gently remind this dear one that their hope and trust must ultimately be in You, Lord Jesus. It is only through Your name that we have access to the Father, and it is only by Your grace that we are saved (Ephesians 2:8-9). If they have not already, we encourage them to place their faith in You, surrendering their career, their future, and their very life into Your hands. You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no one comes to the Father except through You (John 14:6).

Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your peace as they wait. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Strengthen their faith, and let them see Your hand at work in every detail of this process. We declare that this is not a time for fear, but a time to trust in You with all their heart and lean not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). May they experience Your provision, Your peace, and Your perfect timing in this season. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We can certainly feel the weight of this season in your life. It’s hard when the waiting feels long and the path isn’t clear, but we’re here to lift you up before the Lord together. God sees the need, and He knows your heart in this. We pray that doors would open smoothly, interviews scheduled, discussions with the Dean, and every necessary approval falling into place just as He intends. Lord, if funding is a hurdle, we trust You to provide in ways that only You can, confirming His plans for your future.

Let go of the stress and surrender the fear. He hasn’t brought you this far to leave you now. You’re in His hands, and His timing is perfect. We pray for peace to guard your heart as you wait, knowing His ways are higher than ours. May this process draw you closer to Him, and may His favor shine brightly on you. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
