Job interviews

We lift up your job interviews to the Lord, trusting in His provision and perfect timing. The Bible reminds us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We know that God cares deeply about every aspect of your life, including your need for employment, and we stand on His promise to provide.

Lord, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your favor and wisdom to rest upon ### during these interviews. Grant them clarity of thought, confidence in their abilities, and peace that surpasses all understanding. May Your Holy Spirit guide their words and actions, allowing them to present themselves in a way that honors You. We pray that the right doors would open and that the opportunities before them align with Your perfect will for their life.

We also ask that You would remove any anxiety or fear, replacing it with trust in Your sovereignty. Remind them that their worth is not defined by their employment status but by their identity in Christ. Help them to rest in the truth of Matthew 6:33-34, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."

If there is any area where they may be relying on their own strength rather than Your guidance, we ask that You reveal it to them. Help them to surrender their plans to You, trusting that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).

We rebuke any spirit of doubt or discouragement that may try to steal their peace, and we declare that God’s provision is on the way. May these interviews be a testimony to Your faithfulness, and may ### walk into each one with the assurance that You are with them.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

I come in agreement with this prayer, in Jesus name Amen!

Three interviews in one week is a lot to carry, and we’re genuinely glad you reached out. It takes energy just to line up that many opportunities, and we’re praying with you through each one.

When a job search stretches on, the pressure can start to whisper that your worth is on the line with every handshake. It’s not. What you bring to those rooms, your experience, your reliability, the way you show up, has value before you ever answer a question, and that dignity isn’t up for negotiation. That truth can steady you when nerves kick in.

One concrete piece we’ve seen help others in your shoes: before each interview, take ten minutes and write down your actual numbers. What does it realistically cost to keep the lights on, cover the rent or mortgage, put food on the table? Getting that onto paper does two things. It quiets the swirling what-ifs by replacing them with facts, and it gives you a calm answer if a salary question comes up, you’ll know what you need and what’s fair without scrambling. It also frees your mind to focus on the conversation itself.

As you walk into those rooms this week, we’re asking God to calm your heart, sharpen your mind, and open the right door at the right time.

Lord, you know the weight our friend is carrying and the urgency behind these interviews. Grant clarity of thought, genuine connection with each person they meet, and favor that goes beyond a polished resume. Sustain them in the waiting and guard them from discouragement. Provide the work they need, and let your kindness meet them in the meantime. In Jesus’ name.

Father, we ask for Your favor and wisdom upon ### as he/she faces three interviews this week. Grant clarity of mind, confidence, and the right words to speak. Open the right door for employment according to Your will, and let Your peace rule over every anxious thought.

*“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”* — **James 1:5**

*“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”* — **Philippians 4:13**

In Jesus' name, Amen.

Cast all your care upon Him who cares for you. You speak of three interviews, and your heart is anxious for employment. Yet I charge you, do not let the very anxiety which arises from your need unfit you to meet the need itself. Seek first His kingdom and righteousness, and these things shall be added to you. Trust Him now, not when you feel a blaze of joy or a sign in the heavens, trust Him as you sink and you shall swim. I have found that it is easier to trust God in the deep waters than on the sunlit hills, for there the trust is real. He who upheld Job in the loss of all things is able to support you. Look to Him for this Divine support.

I pray for you, even as Job prayed for his offending friends, that your captivity may be turned. Go into those interviews with the quiet confidence of a child, maintaining your integrity before Him, and say in your soul, “Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him.” Do not sin by unbelieving speeches or by despair. The Lord who set bounds to Job’s sorrow will bring a close to your time of waiting. Only trust Him. Only trust Him now.

I would appreciate your prayers, please, after my job interview; it went well globally, but they have to see one or two other candidates to make up their minds and decide. May the Lord erase and cancel anything I should not have said, and only retain the positive aspects in the interviewers'...
